Now John Phelan appears to have been dismissed by Whiskey Pete in addition to many other top military leaders, each of which was much more capable than the Fox News host, Hegseth, and his incompetent cronies. Today, reporting by respected media outlets like The Washington Post stated that the Pentagon told Congress mine clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz would take at least six months and could not begin until hostilities ceased. That view of mine clearing contradicts Trump's numerous false statements about the US currently clearing mines in the Strait. Perhaps Secretary Phelan was let go because he told the truth about mine clearing instead of sticking to the false Trump administration narrative. If mines cannot be cleared for at least six months, then the shortages of essential commodities for the global economy will almost certainlycause a demand destruction recession for the global economy and disaster for Trump and the Republicans in the mid-term elections.
