  1. Can others check and see if this issue is solved? The programmers tell me they think they have it fixed. (Again)
  2. It will be hit and miss for a bit as we have installed slow logging queeries on the site. This lets us know exactly where the slow issues are but it slows down my entire server. It was a needed step and I hope they have some more detail on this in the next day or two. I am trying everything possible to resolve this. It is very odd though as I have several sites with the exact same code and none of them are slow or having issues. It is only this site. My programmers have been working overtime on this but as they work, they are taking away things that were done to improve the site in the past few months one by one to try to test the issue. My apologies for the inconvenience.
  3. Thanks guys. I agree that a phone should be a phone but if you can kill two birds with one stone, it makes sense to me to do it. BTW: I recently purchased the IPhone 5 and could not be happier. But, the BF wants a new phone now.
  4. I loved the tweets that came in from Chelsea Clinton, Michelle Obama and others. Great stuff and it shows that the political tide HAS turned. IMHO
  5. I thought it was going to the her fucking Will. I was VERY surprised.
  6. Congratulations to Surfcrest on the new ownership of SGT.
  7. Cool, Baby Cool The Boy Toy Guide To Gay Wellington It's awesome to go to gay meccas on your gaycation, so when you come back you can talk to your homo homies about where you've been and have a bit of common ground as you gush about the guys. But, you don't always want to go to San Francisco or Rio. Sometimes it's good to branch out and do something different. You want to be one of the people to discover a place and start spreading the word about where you spread on your vacation. If that's you, you might want to consider taking a trip to Wellington, New Zealand, which is where a new gay scene is developing. Five years from now everyone will be talking about it. Wouldn't you want to be the first. Wellington, while not very well known, is listed by Lonely Planet as the Fourth-Coolest City In The World. Not bad for a place that is only the third-largest city in New Zealand meaning that it's very tiny. You can easily walk from one end of the city to another and back during the course of the day. Like the rest of New Zealand, Wellington is very gay-friendly. But, it's not San Francisco. The closest you'll come in America is Berkeley. This is the city where all of the cool trends Down Under and in the Far East start out. It is always on the cutting edge of the next big thing. And, if you are into hipsters, you'll be in paradise. It's also extremely laid back, and you'll be able to relax and do your own thing with no problems at all. Make sure to bring a jacket, however, because Wellington is one of the windiest cities in the world, and you don't want to catch a cold! Getting Your Gay On In this city of cool, Cuba Street is the coolest avenue of them all. While the gay bars come and go, if you head to Cuba Street you'll find the fliers that will let you know where you want to go, and which bars and clubs are the most happening at any given time. Even in the non-gay bars, there is generally a mixed crowd of gays and straights and you can hit on dudes without anyone thinking you are a freak. There are plenty of saunas as well, so getting a guy or flying your freak flag should not be an undue challenge to you. Homophobia is not very common at all, so if you do meet a horny hunk, making out with him or holding hands in public is not going to get you any rude looks. Cool places don't have any problem with gay men or women, and Wellington is no exception to this rule. So, just chill out and have yourself a gay old time. Rent Boys Even since 2003, prostitution has been legal in New Zealand. The basic rule is they have to be at least 18 and can't work as prostitutes if they are there on a student visa. This has led the opening of both gay and straight brothels. And, it has meant that the gay bars have a thriving rent boy scene inside. You'll also find boy toys for hire in several of the saunas though they are often in demand, so come early if you want to cum often. The prostitution laws in New Zealand are considered some of the most progressive in the world, and are being studied by other countries that want to legalize prostitution while discouraging sex trafficking. So, feel free to hire the boy toy of your wet dreams, without worrying about getting stung by John Law! The Hobbit Large parts of The Lord Of The Rings were filmed around Wellington, and now the next two Hobbit films are being filmed here as well. You can take guided tours to see the spots where various parts of the film were made, and it's not uncommon to stumble upon cast members in the local pubs. So, if Middle Earth is your thing, you can totally get your nerd on during the day before getting your gay on at night. Ways To Play In Wellington Wellington is extremely laid back, so you'll probably want to spend most of your time wandering around, seeing the sights and killing time in cafes - but there are other, cooling things to do. The Wellington Cable Car is a must if you are not afraid of heights. It gives a great view of both the city and harbor. The Botanic Garden is not only beautiful, but also a popular gay cruising area, offering two different ways to get in touch with nature. The Wellington Frigate is a dive wreck that you can visit underwater. Meanwhile, if you like hiking, climbing Mount Victoria is fairly easy and will give you a 360-degree panorama of the area at the summit. Let's Be Cool In Wellington! Are you enough of a cool cat to do gay Wellington? If so, let's chill out and be hip there together! cc boytoy.com 2013
  8. We are always happy that so many of you came over to this site. We are elated that it was the Right Ones that came. Both TY and I have never liked drama too much. (well, there was this one hotel room I had in Montreal and TY was visiting and a group of escorts from NYC was there and we had just a tee bit of drama that was fun to watch) Thank you all for being such wonderful posters and members here.
  9. Now, that was funny. He has a great sense of humor! And, Daniel Day Lewis looks exactly like him. Too funny!
  10. And, this was after my message above?
  11. If you want a cell phone that also has the highest quality camera, you may want to see this review of some of the top picks. http://www.cnet.com/8301-17918_1-57581522-85/samsung-galaxy-s4-shootout-versus-htc-one-iphone-5/ Has the S4 been selling in Thailand? If so, what is the cost?
  12. Bob, I don't go around repeating gossip. So you had better sit tight and listen close the first time! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FQ5ob9B9yD4
  13. Doesn't everyone enjoying "eating out" a katoey every once in a while?
  14. I got a message from the programmers this AM saying they did some tweaks. Did it work? If so, those issues should no longer be here.
  15. I am actually friends with the manager but I do not like to go to him for money issues. I know I should if I want a good rate but I don't want to spoil our friendship either over cash. I do like Firecat's idea of other things beyond the nightly rate being negotiated.
  16. For the bed, if your visit is long enough, purchase one of those memory foam pads to go on top. It makes all those hard beds a delight. If you stay at the Mosaik enough, they may even store it for it or you can have one of your Thai friends hold for you. The cost is about 100 bucks but totally worth it IMHO.
  17. Many policies in the USA cost over 1200 USD per month. The price for insurance in USA in insane. It would seem to me that a Thailand or outside USA policy would be best. However, be careful, I had one raved about policy a few years back and it was horrible. Now, I have Blue Cross / Blue Shield in USA and very happy with the coverage at home and in LOS.
  18. Have that issues that several had with the site been continuing? Or, has it gotten better? Is it only in the forums or site wise?
  19. I was in touch with a hotel in Thailand to negotiate a long stay rate. They did give me a good deal off their regular rate but it was what they give to all who stay over 14 days. I told them I was going to be 60 days and asked for a better deal. They declined. They do have rooms open. Most hotels around the world negotiate good rates for longer stays but it seems harder in Thailand then anywhere. Why?
  20. OMG Scottishguy. Did you find that long lost video of me, 3 Thai boys, a midget, a donkey and 2 ladyboys? If so, I just want to say that I had a bit too much to drink that night and while I can normally hold my liquor, it just made it quicker.
  21. Nice report. Thanks. I am glad the Mosaik is holding up OK. I need to get to one of those concerts on my next visit. Thanks for the great report.
  22. KOKO, did you say Street Food, bitches and ruins? Me too!
  23. Gay Fire Island – Feel The Burn It's great if you have the cash to take a gaycation in Europe, Asia or South America. But in this economy, many of us don't have that much money – and I know that those of you who do have a bit of cash like to save it up for escorts. So, it's quite possible that you'd rather do your summer vacation in the States. If so, you can't go wrong heading up to Fire Island, New York, one of the most fun and fearless gay vacation stops on the East Coast. You can sit in the sun and then get laid in the shade. It should be noted, however, that Fire Island is a strictly seasonal gaycation resort. You'll only really want to go there between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During the winter there is not much going on. So, my horny homos, burly bears, turgid twinks and sweet little bottoms, let's take a journey to Fire Island and have gay old time! Hurricane Sandy There is one hugely important reason to go to Fire Island this summer if you can – Hurricane Sandy. When the storm struck, it damaged many houses, the beach, and the dunes. It has cost the community a fortune to try to repair the damage, and their only hope of getting the money back is to have a fabulous tourist season. The community is deeply worried that people won't show up this year because of Hurricane Sandy damage. So they've done everything they can to make things just as awesome has they've always been. Fire Island has been welcoming gay men for decades, and been open, out and proud for far longer than most gay vacation destinations. They've shown the gay community their support for a long time. It's time for us to give back to them. Plus, when was the last time going somewhere to get laid was actually a charitable thing to do? The Gay Communities Not all of Fire Island is super gay. It is composed of many communities, some of them family-friendly. There are two very gay enclaves, however, and that's where you'll want to spend most of your time. Those communities are called Cherry Grove and Fire Island Pines. While both are as gay as gay can be, they do have distinct vibes. The Pines is where you find the people who are there to party hard and cruise like no tomorrow. It's an intense, rocking gay vibe and it's where to hang out when you want to get your slut on. Cherry Grove is much more laid back, has more gay couples, lesbians and is much less of a meat market popper-fueled slut scene. It's where you want to go when you just want to chill out with your fellow gays. You can get laid here, but it is much, much less of a meat market. Speaking of which, between the two towns is a strip of forest called “The Meat Rack.” You can probably imagine what goes on beneath the trees at night – and during the day for the more adventurous nature gays! The Schedule One of the more amusing things about Fire Island is that the gay community has built themselves a schedule for what they do every day – and darling, you don't want to miss out on the schedule or you'll flag yourself as a newbie. It's actually fairly simple. Daytime is for hanging out on the beach, or drinking tons of water while walking around the towns and sweating out your hangover. Then, at 8 p.m., everyone heads to Tea Dances. Several are held every night, and you just need to find the one that fits your own personal scene. These last until 10 p.m., when people either go back to their rental homes and have a group meal, or head off to restaurants to eat. Then, at midnight it's time to hit the clubs where people dance until dawn, before going back to wherever they are staying and getting some sleep before starting it all over again. Drag Shows The heart of any Fire Island sexperience is hitting the drag shows. Fire Island in the summer has some of the best drag shows on earth, and you haven't lived until you've checked them out. So, build in some time in your schedule to make sure you see at least one drag show while you are there. You won't regret it. Where To Lay Your Head You don't want to just show up at Fire Island and say, “Hey mister, can you tell me where a man might find a bed?” You need to set up your accommodations well in advance. Many people rent out homes with a group of other men, either weekly, monthly or seasonally. If that's not your scene, you'll want to get a hotel room in one of the non-gay communities and then simply walk over to the Grove or the Pines. Either way, make your reservations as soon as possible. Deer There are a fuckton of friendly deer on the island. You'll be tempted to feed them. Don't - because it can cause them to become dependent on people and then die off in the winter. Totally Oz cc boytoy.com 2013
