  1. Happy Birthday my dear! I hope your day and night is fabulous!
  2. Gay Melbourne – That's Not A Cock – This Is A Cock! Have you ever thought about going down, down under? Then you may want to book a trip to Melbourne, where the men are men and the rent boys drink Foster's. While many people know about the nightlife in Sydney, Melbourne while less well known – but the scene is much more open and there are plenty of things (and guys) to do! In fact, Melbourne is considered the cultural capital of Australia – and whether you are into art, music, theater or sculpture, you'll find something to do. And we all know that where culture pops up, fagtabulous times can be had. So, my darling daddies, luscious leather boys, terrific twinks and power bottoms - let me take you on a journey to Gay Melbourne. Just keep away from the crocodiles! No-Tell Hotels! The first thing you need to know when booking a trip to Melbourne is that they take gay travelers seriously, so much so that there are many hotels catering exclusively to gay male tourists. They don't even let fag hags in the door! And, you have a large range to choose from. There are hotels dedicated to leather daddies. Other hotels are bears only. There are drag queen hotels, and hotels for twinks. Some hotels host bareback nights. There are even hotels for just general vanilla fags! What more could you ask for in accommodating accommodation? So, before you go, do a quick Google search and book a hotel that matches your own personal preferences – and you'll be able to have a gay old time! The Rent Boy Paradise! One of the great things about Melbourne, and Australia in general, is that prostitution is legalized and regulated. That means you won't have to worry about getting stopped by the cops if you want to pick up a boy for gay-for-pay. It also means that there are safe and comfortable gay brothels to be found all over the city. You can simply go in, pick the boy of your choice, and have a hour of delightful sexperiences! You should be warned, however, that credit card receipts in Australia have room for you to write in a tip. If you don't write the tip in yourself and leave that area blank, many gay escorts will simply write in a tip for themselves - and you could end up being out a couple hundred dollars more than you sexpected. So, just be generous and write in a reasonable tip, and keep your receipt in case you have any problems. You'll also find plenty of male escorts in the gay bars, clubs and saunas you visit – some of them actually carry credit card machines in their manbags. It really is that organized and accepted. The Gayborhoods There are actually four main gayborhoods in Melbourne, all of them full of gay bars, clubs, restaurants, and stores. In the north side of the city you can visit the Collingwood and Fitzroy neighborhoods. These parts of town tend to cater toward the kinkier side of gay life, with lots of fetish clubs, leather bars, and even piss bars. If you want something a little more mellow, head south to Windsor and South Yarra, where you'll find much more traditional gay bars and clubs with a considerably more casual vibe. Gay Melbourne Events In such a gay-friendly city it's no surprise that there are plenty of events that will allow you to get your gay on in Melbourne. The Midsumma Festival in January is by far the biggest gay event of the year. It kicks off with Gay Carnivale, then features a ginormous gay pride day/parade, and also hosts the Melbourne Queer Film Festival. Basically all month long you'll find plenty of gay things to do and participate in in Melbourne. August is when the city has the a Week Of Leather festival that gets very, very down and dirty! And in November they hold their Leather Pride Festival, which attracts tens of thousands of leather daddies and the boys who love them. Then in June, the city hosts Hibearination – a monthlong series of events, parties and fun dedicated entirely to bears. Oh my! Things You Can Tell Your Mother About Of course, you might want to get away from simple sexing up your sexcation for a little bit while in Melbourne, and there are plenty of non sexy things to do in the city. My favorite is the Black Light Mini Golf Course – which allows you to play the game under black light while techno music blasts in the background. The Flinders Street Railway station is a perfectly resorted colonial era railway platform with a lot of interesting exhibits. You'll also want to see the Melbourne House Of Parliament, and take a walk through the Old Melbourne Gaol. Come Out Come Out, Wherever You Are - To Melbourne! I promise you you'll have a gay old time! cc boytoy.com 2013
  3. Interesting article on NPR today. Click the link below for full article but it was interesting to note that 30 million people have been put in the middle class in the last few years. As this happens with the stronger Brazilian economy, the purchasing power of the Brazilians have increased. I wonder if this will also affect one of the reasons I love the place, the boys. Here are a few paragraphs: As cocaine consumption falls in the United States, South American drug traffickers have begun to pioneer a new soft target for their product: big and increasingly affluent Brazil. And the source of the cocaine is increasingly Bolivia, a landlocked country that shares a 2,100-mile border with Brazil. As Brazilian police officers and border agents can attest, the drug often finds its way to Brazil by crossing the Mamore River, which separates the state of Rondonia from Bolivia in the heart of South America. It is not an easy border to patrol. Much of it is porous jungle or river. It is also a big border, bigger than the U.S.-Mexico line that has caused so much trouble for both the Obama administration and Mexico's government. Worse still is that Bolivia, along with Peru and Colombia, are the three biggest cocaine-producing countries and Brazil shares 5,000 miles of frontier with them. http://www.npr.org/2013/01/31/170757398/as-u-s-consumes-less-cocaine-brazil-uses-more
  4. Great article in the New York Times: Millions of people across the globe have cut the tethers to their offices, working remotely from home, airport lounges or just about anywhere they can get an Internet connection. But the political party governing Thailand has taken telecommuting into an altogether different realm. For the past year and a half, by the party’s own admission, the most important political decisions in this country of 65 million people have been made from abroad, by a former prime minister who has been in self-imposed exile since 2008 to escape corruption charges. The country’s most famous fugitive, Thaksin Shinawatra, circles the globe in his private jet, chatting with ministers over his dozen cellphones, texting over various social media platforms and reading government documents e-mailed to him from civil servants, party officials say. It might be described as rule by Skype. Or governance by instant messenger, a way for Mr. Thaksin to help run the country without having to face the warrant for his arrest in a case that many believe is politically motivated. His (remote control) return to power, even if somewhat limited by distance, is a remarkable turnaround for the brash telecommunications billionaire who was deposed in a military coup in 2006, the catalyst for several years of brinkmanship between critics and supporters that led to four changes of government and violent street protests that left nearly 100 people dead. Officially, his sister, Yingluck Shinawatra, is the prime minister (he nominated her for the job in 2011). But from his homes in Dubai and London, from the gold mines he owns in Africa and during regular visits to nearby Asian countries, Mr. Thaksin, 63, has harnessed the Internet and mobile technology to create one of the most unusual ways of governing a country. 5. Lauderdale County High School Head Coach's Hate Speech is hard to listen to. Click the link at the bottom and head the actual audio. School district officials are investigating allegations that a Lauderdale County High School teacher made slurs in the presence of students regarding first lady Michelle Obama and gays. Superintendent Jennifer Gray confirmed the investigation concerns the school’s head football coach, Bob Grisham, who also teaches driver’s education and psychology. The investigation includes a 1-minute, 24-second audiotape of Grisham asking who knows who is behind the 600-calorie school lunch. “Fat butt Michelle Obama,” he said. “Look at her. She looks like she weighs 185 or 190. She’s overweight.” Male voices interject comments during the discussion, at one point referring to Michelle Obama as a “fat gorilla.” Later in the tape, Grisham referred to the U.S. as going in the “wrong direction” and tells the students they can “get pissed off at me or not. You can go tell the principal, call the superintendent and tell her. I don’t believe in queers. I don’t like queers, I don’t hate them as a person, but what they do is wrong and an abomination against God.” The tape was reportedly recorded by a student Monday and took place on school campus during the school day. Grisham told the TimesDaily on Wednesday afternoon he misspoke. “I misspoke in a debate-type situation,” he said. “I have no hatred toward anyone or any group. People that know my heart, they know that.” For the full story: http://timesdaily.com/stories/Teacher-linked-to-gay-slurs-at-school,201960 Be sure to read the comments at the bottom of that article as well. What a moron this guy is!
  6. I also admit I am obsessed with travel. I have been since I was a kid. I was the first one in my family to travel overseas. I went to Scotland and London at 16. I was poor and would not have been able to afford the trip on my own but it was a missionary campaign for my church. LOL Ever since, I have loved travel. I am more obsessed with points than anything and trying to retain my status with a few hotel chains and one or two airlines. On a car trip across country last year, I would drive into the night in order to stay at one of my hotels I needed points at. In March of this year, I go to Brazil for one full month. I am using my points for hotels and staying at really great 5 star hotels for free as I save my points and use them each year in Rio De Janiero and Sao Paulo and it saves me a great deal of money. In the end, I think my "point games" are totally worth it. I don't live in Thailand so I see no need to get away from there but I do love being able to see places I have never seen before. I have been to over 30 countries and I hope to make it to 100 before I die. I am missing many countries in Africa and the Middle East and I hope to get to them one day. I also don't see a problem with my obsession with points but perhaps that is because of my obsession.
  7. I made this today and it was great. 1 cup frozen organic raspberries 1 tbsp coconut oil 1 Tbsp chia seeds 2 scoops protein powder (I used Teras whey Acai flavor. delicious!) 2 scoops Standard Process complete powder (your nutritional insurance) ½ of a fresh squeezed lime small handful fresh mint or parsley water to liquify (I used citrus-infused water from my pitcher) Add ingredients to blender in order listed. Blend until smooth. Feel free to add more or less water depending on consistency you like. This makes 2 servings so you can pour half in a glass and the other store in fridge for later. http://nutritiousyogi.com/my-favorite-meals/2013/1/30/raspberry-lime-protein-cooler
  8. Gay Curitiba Banging Brazilian Boys All Night Long! If you are heading to Brazil, don't let your cute little ass get stuck in Rio for your entire trip. While the Rio boys are hot to trot, the country has many more places for you to get your gay on. So take a journey with me, my twisted twinks, big old bears, turgid tops and beautiful bottoms as we sexplore the sexciting world of Curitiba, Brazil, where the boys will rock your world on your next sexcation! It is one of the largest cities in Southern Brazil, and one of the most gay friendly. In fact the city prides itself on the merging of gay and straight culture, and even promotes itself as one of the best cities in the world for bisexual tourists! In fact, the gay vibe is so strong that their annual Gay Pride Parade held every April attracts more than 100,000 visitors! Curitiba is also home to one of the largest Arab populations in South America, so if you like your boys on the slightly tan side, the city could become your own personal Mecca! You'll find the prices for most things lower than in Rio, and the weather is nearly as nice, so you might be able to gay out at nearly half the price. Let's take a look around at what you can do in fagtabulous Curitiba! The Gayborhood Curitiba has a large and thriving gay and bisexual population that meets in the Centro district. During the day, you can have fun in the numerous gay cafes, restaurants and stores that you'll find on nearly every block. Daytime pick-ups are very common here, and you'll notice a fair amount of obvious rent boys. This is also the area that many married bisexual men come for lunch, so if those types are your cup of tea, keep your eyes open and don't be shy about flirting with a guy just because he has a wedding ring on! He may be down for going down if you know what I mean! At night, the gayborhood cums alive with gay clubs that are open until daylight and nearly all of them have dark rooms and private areas for you to do your thing. The streets of Centro are also home to the gay saunas and bathhouses of the city most of them very clearly marked, so you'll have no problem finding them. It should go without saying that you'll not only find your choice of men in the saunas, but that they are also populated by a fair number of working escorts. Go Online In Curitiba Because gay and bisexual lifestyles are so open in Curitiba, it is also one of the few South American cities where you can easily hook up for free with a hot guy online. There are numerous sites a quick Google search will guide the way where you can meet English-speaking gay residents looking for a quick hookup with a tourist guy. It's definitely worth checking out if you don't want to lay out the cash on an escort. Cruising Curitiba also has a police-approved, 24-hour gay cruising area at Parque Bariqui. During the day you'll find mostly married men and older bisexuals. At night, the younger guys come out and with them, the rent boys. Either way, there are plenty of discreet spots you can take your hookup and have 15 minutes in heaven before heading on your way. The park is fairly obviously segregated, so look for your prey in the areas where you don't see families hanging out and you'll be well on your way to a roll in the hay. Vanilla Fun In Curitiba One of the delightful things about Curitiba is that it's not only about the sex and the sun; there are many other ways a guy can have fun. Let's take a tour of the less sexsational side of Curitiba life. The Memory Fountain features a giant bronze horse head and is a tribute to the original settlers of Curitiba. It's very pretty and is a great place to take pictures to show the family back home. That said, the most fun thing to do in Curitiba is to take the Serra Verde Express train on a day trip. Considered the most beautiful train ride in the Western Hemisphere, it winds its way through the rain forest and provides you with wonderful scenic vistas. As a pro tip they will try to charge you for various classes of seats on the train, but once you get on you'll realize they are all the same so buy the cheapest ticket offered. First class travel is exactly the same as fourth class on the Express. The Botanical Garden of Curitiba is world famous, and attracts botanists from around the world. It's huge and has hundreds of different types of flora and fauna and will take you most of the day to completely explore. The Iguacu Zoo is also beautiful and often a gay meeting place, so you might be able to pick up a bear while looking at the eagles! Let's Do Gay Curitiba Together! Want to meet me there? You know you want to. cc boytoy.com 2013
  9. One thing that I notice is that many people want to see and read gay threads but they don't want to post them. The best way to get those kinds of threads going on a regular basis is to start some. When I am in Thailand, I do start as many as I can about the places I visit and I wish others would as well. But, if you want to see something more actively discussed, it is as easy as Starting a New Topic.
  10. Jim Nabors, the Hawaii resident well known for his starring role in the 1960s television sitcom "Gomer Pyle, USMC," married his longtime male partner early this month, he told Hawaii News Now Tuesday. Nabors, 82, said he married his companion of 38 years, Stan Cadwallader, who's 64, in Seattle on Jan. 15. Nabors declined an on-camera interview but spoke to Hawaii News Now by phone. "I'm 82 and he's in his 60s and so we've been together for 38 years and I'm not ashamed of people knowing, it's just that it was such a personal thing, I didn't tell anybody," Nabors said. "I'm very happy that I've had a partner of 38 years and I feel very blessed. And, what can I tell you, I'm just very happy." Nabors said he and Cadwallader traveled to Washington state, where gay marriages became legal in early December 2012. They were married at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. A judge performed the marriage ceremony in the privacy of their hotel room with a couple of friends who live down the street from them near Diamond Head as witnesses, Nabors said. http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/20805642/exclusive-actor-jim-nabors-marries-his-longtime-male-partner
  11. I am not sure if I told this story on here or not, but last year I drove across the country and I was pissed at Chick-Fil-A and I was driving from California to Hilton Head. I stopped in a Chick-Fil-A in every state along the way and pissed outside in their parking lot. Yes, I know sick but it made me feel better about the stance they had taken. As for eating there, I have had my urges too but I have avoided them. FA: when the urge comes upon you again, I suggest just finding a twink and giving them a BJ. It always settles me down.
  12. I am very leery of donating money in Thailand as I can sometimes be suckered into things. When I first started traveling to Thailand I attended a benefit dinner and I was moved by the charity as it was well publicized on these forums. So, I gave a very large cash gift at the end. My donation was never counted toward the night's total. It was never entered into their records even thought I personally handed it over to 2 board members. It was at that point that I decided I would not participate in cash donations again in LOS. I do go to dinners and I do buy lucky draws. But, I decided not to give out more money to any charity that is not registered and makes a full accounting of the books public.
  13. TW: that post ranks at one of my all time favorite posts from any message board. Thank you for laughing so hard I almost broke my chair.
  14. Great post FH. I love the dance clubs in Brazil and they are probably the most amazing I have ever seen. But, after this horrendous event, it has me rethinking a few of the clubs I go to. One in Sao Paulo has the best drag show on earth but I only remember one exit. I'll have to start paying much more attention to all the details. Thanks for the very thoughtful post.
  15. That was very quick. Are they saving up for the other nominees?
  16. Ok. I am pretty set to spend a month in Brazil but the recent promotion I posted from Holiday Inn is making me reconsider things. I have 28 days in the country. I fly into Sao Paulo. I'll get in on a Thursday night and had planned to stay that weekend and the next weekend. I was going to be in Porto Alegre on a Tuesday so I'd have some time to meet the boys at the sauna before Tomcal comes into town and takes them all away from me. I'll then fly to Rio for a week or two. But, I am seriously considering changing things up and going to other cities. I have been looking on Gol Air (a Delta partner) and I can pretty much fly to most cities for 100 USD or less. They just sent me an email today to tell me to use them as they will give me points and upgrades. I was thinking of spending 5 days in Fortaleza and maybe even 5 days in Curitiba. That would put me in Sao Paulo less time (I love LaGoa) and a bit less in Rio (I love 117). So, I guess my question is: if you had 28 days to spend in Brazil, where would you spend it? What cities would you visit? Hotel prices are not important to me as I am using points and staying for free in all the cities. Advice?
  17. Great little article about Vicco the smallest municipality in Kentucky, and possibly the country, to enact such an ordinance banning discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/29/us/vicco-kentucky-passes-ban-on-gay-bias.html?pagewanted=all&_r=1
  18. LOL quick Expat. You are right. I loved it as well. I love me so Ewing studs too! Too much eye candy around! This is TNT. Can you believe he said pussy?
  19. "Love is for Pussies. Now do we have a deal?"
  20. The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is one of the most delightful, respectful and funny gay-themed movies ever made. It was also considerably ahead of its time. Who would have thought that in 1994, Australia would have put out a film that would still be considered progressive in 2013? It also allows us to see some men who would later become very famous in their first starring roles. First off, we get Hugo Weaving playing a man who is neither gay, nor straight, nor bisexual. I am what I am, he says at one critical moment and that is a drag queen performer who has a secret wife out in the desert, and he's about to find out what it's like to be a dad. He's terrified that his little boy will reject him for his sexual ambiguity. Instead, his son tells him he needs to get a boyfriend. It's interesting to see Weaving in this very campy role, given that he's much more well known as Mr. Smith in the Matrix films. (This is not his only gay-positive film role. He plays V in V For Vendetta - a character who, in part, is motivated to destroy an oppressive government because it was imprisoning gay members of their society.) We also get Terrance Stamp, who would eventually become famous in the Star Wars prequels and on the television show Smallville, playing an elderly transsexual drag queen. Finally, we get Guy Pearce, who has been oh-so butch in L.A. Confidential, Memento and Prometheus, playing a very young, very effeminate transvestite twink. Once seeing this film, you'll never look at Pearce the same way again. The plot is a standard Hollywood road movie, based on the old 1950s Bing Crosby films. The three performers (famous for their ABBA impersonations) get hired to play in a casino in the middle of the Outback. They buy an old bus that they name Priscilla, and then begin a weeklong, alcohol-soaked journey to get to the gig. Along the way they argue with each other, make fun of each other, wear fabulous gowns, and encounter a number of silly adventures. Perhaps the best moment is them breaking down in the desert and meeting a bunch of aborigines who are fascinated by their show one of them even puts on one of their evening gowns and dances with them. Of course, they also meet some homophobes during the trip, but they prove much stronger than the bigots and are more than able to hold their own. The most touching part of the film is when they meet a mechanic who is having problems with a Thai hooker he drunkenly married in Bangkok. She leaves him, and he agrees to come along with them on the bus. In no time at all he's falling in love with Stamp's Bernadette, and the romance slowly builds until both of them find true love. The heart of the film is the relationship Weaving has with his boy. He tries to act butch and very heterosexual around him, but that just confuses the child. Meanwhile, Pearce acts as flamboyant as a peacock and the boy immediately embraces him. This causes Weaving to stop feeling guilty about his sexuality and accept himself. At the end of the film, his son is actually directing the spotlight at their ABBA gig. So, what we have here is a camp gay comedy that treats its characters with the honesty and respect they deserve. You'll laugh at the many funny moments, but you'll also be moved by the scenes of brutal emotional honesty. That these actors became famous playing heterosexual roles in Hollywood after appearing in this film shows that the studio system doesn't completely believe in typecasting. That a film like this could have been made more than 25 years ago is truly astounding, and the script and performances themselves are legendary. If you ever want to spend a night just sitting back with a Stoli and cranberry and have a good time watching a good film, then rent, download or buy The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Even your straight friends will love it! cc boytoy.com 2012
  21. Every year they come out with some new shows that either flop or flourish. This year is no exception. I have been enjoying these new shows: Banshee The Following Ripper Street Anyone want to recommend others to watch?
  22. I stay at Holiday Inn Express in USA all the time. Love them. But, you never know overseas. I worry more about the speed of the Internet and the ease of getting around. I did go ahead and book the hotel in case I get some good reports. I'd then be able to spend those points in Paris this summer and save a ton of money.
  23. Anyone stayed at this hotel before? They have a fabulous deal for 5k points per night. That is just an incredible deal IMHO. http://www.priorityclub.com/hotels/us/en/global/redeem/pointbreaks/centralsouthamerica http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g303631-d582246-Reviews-Holiday_Inn_Express_Sumare_Ave-Sao_Paulo_State_of_Sao_Paulo.html I have booked the Intercontinental for 14 nights at 40,000 per night. This was save me nearly 500,000 points if I stay at the Holiday Inn. I just need to know it is OK and good Internet. Anyone?
