  1. Gay Curitiba Banging Brazilian Boys All Night Long! If you are heading to Brazil, don't let your cute little ass get stuck in Rio for your entire trip. While the Rio boys are hot to trot, the country has many more places for you to get your gay on. So take a journey with me, my twisted twinks, big old bears, turgid tops and beautiful bottoms as we sexplore the sexciting world of Curitiba, Brazil, where the boys will rock your world on your next sexcation! It is one of the largest cities in Southern Brazil, and one of the most gay friendly. In fact the city prides itself on the merging of gay and straight culture, and even promotes itself as one of the best cities in the world for bisexual tourists! In fact, the gay vibe is so strong that their annual Gay Pride Parade held every April attracts more than 100,000 visitors! Curitiba is also home to one of the largest Arab populations in South America, so if you like your boys on the slightly tan side, the city could become your own personal Mecca! You'll find the prices for most things lower than in Rio, and the weather is nearly as nice, so you might be able to gay out at nearly half the price. Let's take a look around at what you can do in fagtabulous Curitiba! The Gayborhood Curitiba has a large and thriving gay and bisexual population that meets in the Centro district. During the day, you can have fun in the numerous gay cafes, restaurants and stores that you'll find on nearly every block. Daytime pick-ups are very common here, and you'll notice a fair amount of obvious rent boys. This is also the area that many married bisexual men come for lunch, so if those types are your cup of tea, keep your eyes open and don't be shy about flirting with a guy just because he has a wedding ring on! He may be down for going down if you know what I mean! At night, the gayborhood cums alive with gay clubs that are open until daylight and nearly all of them have dark rooms and private areas for you to do your thing. The streets of Centro are also home to the gay saunas and bathhouses of the city most of them very clearly marked, so you'll have no problem finding them. It should go without saying that you'll not only find your choice of men in the saunas, but that they are also populated by a fair number of working escorts. Go Online In Curitiba Because gay and bisexual lifestyles are so open in Curitiba, it is also one of the few South American cities where you can easily hook up for free with a hot guy online. There are numerous sites a quick Google search will guide the way where you can meet English-speaking gay residents looking for a quick hookup with a tourist guy. It's definitely worth checking out if you don't want to lay out the cash on an escort. Cruising Curitiba also has a police-approved, 24-hour gay cruising area at Parque Bariqui. During the day you'll find mostly married men and older bisexuals. At night, the younger guys come out and with them, the rent boys. Either way, there are plenty of discreet spots you can take your hookup and have 15 minutes in heaven before heading on your way. The park is fairly obviously segregated, so look for your prey in the areas where you don't see families hanging out and you'll be well on your way to a roll in the hay. Vanilla Fun In Curitiba One of the delightful things about Curitiba is that it's not only about the sex and the sun; there are many other ways a guy can have fun. Let's take a tour of the less sexsational side of Curitiba life. The Memory Fountain features a giant bronze horse head and is a tribute to the original settlers of Curitiba. It's very pretty and is a great place to take pictures to show the family back home. That said, the most fun thing to do in Curitiba is to take the Serra Verde Express train on a day trip. Considered the most beautiful train ride in the Western Hemisphere, it winds its way through the rain forest and provides you with wonderful scenic vistas. As a pro tip they will try to charge you for various classes of seats on the train, but once you get on you'll realize they are all the same so buy the cheapest ticket offered. First class travel is exactly the same as fourth class on the Express. The Botanical Garden of Curitiba is world famous, and attracts botanists from around the world. It's huge and has hundreds of different types of flora and fauna and will take you most of the day to completely explore. The Iguacu Zoo is also beautiful and often a gay meeting place, so you might be able to pick up a bear while looking at the eagles! Let's Do Gay Curitiba Together! Want to meet me there? You know you want to. cc boytoy.com 2013
  2. One thing that I notice is that many people want to see and read gay threads but they don't want to post them. The best way to get those kinds of threads going on a regular basis is to start some. When I am in Thailand, I do start as many as I can about the places I visit and I wish others would as well. But, if you want to see something more actively discussed, it is as easy as Starting a New Topic.
  3. Jim Nabors, the Hawaii resident well known for his starring role in the 1960s television sitcom "Gomer Pyle, USMC," married his longtime male partner early this month, he told Hawaii News Now Tuesday. Nabors, 82, said he married his companion of 38 years, Stan Cadwallader, who's 64, in Seattle on Jan. 15. Nabors declined an on-camera interview but spoke to Hawaii News Now by phone. "I'm 82 and he's in his 60s and so we've been together for 38 years and I'm not ashamed of people knowing, it's just that it was such a personal thing, I didn't tell anybody," Nabors said. "I'm very happy that I've had a partner of 38 years and I feel very blessed. And, what can I tell you, I'm just very happy." Nabors said he and Cadwallader traveled to Washington state, where gay marriages became legal in early December 2012. They were married at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. A judge performed the marriage ceremony in the privacy of their hotel room with a couple of friends who live down the street from them near Diamond Head as witnesses, Nabors said. http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/20805642/exclusive-actor-jim-nabors-marries-his-longtime-male-partner
  4. I am not sure if I told this story on here or not, but last year I drove across the country and I was pissed at Chick-Fil-A and I was driving from California to Hilton Head. I stopped in a Chick-Fil-A in every state along the way and pissed outside in their parking lot. Yes, I know sick but it made me feel better about the stance they had taken. As for eating there, I have had my urges too but I have avoided them. FA: when the urge comes upon you again, I suggest just finding a twink and giving them a BJ. It always settles me down.
  5. I am very leery of donating money in Thailand as I can sometimes be suckered into things. When I first started traveling to Thailand I attended a benefit dinner and I was moved by the charity as it was well publicized on these forums. So, I gave a very large cash gift at the end. My donation was never counted toward the night's total. It was never entered into their records even thought I personally handed it over to 2 board members. It was at that point that I decided I would not participate in cash donations again in LOS. I do go to dinners and I do buy lucky draws. But, I decided not to give out more money to any charity that is not registered and makes a full accounting of the books public.
  6. TW: that post ranks at one of my all time favorite posts from any message board. Thank you for laughing so hard I almost broke my chair.
  7. Great post FH. I love the dance clubs in Brazil and they are probably the most amazing I have ever seen. But, after this horrendous event, it has me rethinking a few of the clubs I go to. One in Sao Paulo has the best drag show on earth but I only remember one exit. I'll have to start paying much more attention to all the details. Thanks for the very thoughtful post.
  8. That was very quick. Are they saving up for the other nominees?
  9. Ok. I am pretty set to spend a month in Brazil but the recent promotion I posted from Holiday Inn is making me reconsider things. I have 28 days in the country. I fly into Sao Paulo. I'll get in on a Thursday night and had planned to stay that weekend and the next weekend. I was going to be in Porto Alegre on a Tuesday so I'd have some time to meet the boys at the sauna before Tomcal comes into town and takes them all away from me. I'll then fly to Rio for a week or two. But, I am seriously considering changing things up and going to other cities. I have been looking on Gol Air (a Delta partner) and I can pretty much fly to most cities for 100 USD or less. They just sent me an email today to tell me to use them as they will give me points and upgrades. I was thinking of spending 5 days in Fortaleza and maybe even 5 days in Curitiba. That would put me in Sao Paulo less time (I love LaGoa) and a bit less in Rio (I love 117). So, I guess my question is: if you had 28 days to spend in Brazil, where would you spend it? What cities would you visit? Hotel prices are not important to me as I am using points and staying for free in all the cities. Advice?
  10. Great little article about Vicco the smallest municipality in Kentucky, and possibly the country, to enact such an ordinance banning discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/29/us/vicco-kentucky-passes-ban-on-gay-bias.html?pagewanted=all&_r=1
  11. LOL quick Expat. You are right. I loved it as well. I love me so Ewing studs too! Too much eye candy around! This is TNT. Can you believe he said pussy?

  13. The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is one of the most delightful, respectful and funny gay-themed movies ever made. It was also considerably ahead of its time. Who would have thought that in 1994, Australia would have put out a film that would still be considered progressive in 2013? It also allows us to see some men who would later become very famous in their first starring roles. First off, we get Hugo Weaving playing a man who is neither gay, nor straight, nor bisexual. I am what I am, he says at one critical moment and that is a drag queen performer who has a secret wife out in the desert, and he's about to find out what it's like to be a dad. He's terrified that his little boy will reject him for his sexual ambiguity. Instead, his son tells him he needs to get a boyfriend. It's interesting to see Weaving in this very campy role, given that he's much more well known as Mr. Smith in the Matrix films. (This is not his only gay-positive film role. He plays V in V For Vendetta - a character who, in part, is motivated to destroy an oppressive government because it was imprisoning gay members of their society.) We also get Terrance Stamp, who would eventually become famous in the Star Wars prequels and on the television show Smallville, playing an elderly transsexual drag queen. Finally, we get Guy Pearce, who has been oh-so butch in L.A. Confidential, Memento and Prometheus, playing a very young, very effeminate transvestite twink. Once seeing this film, you'll never look at Pearce the same way again. The plot is a standard Hollywood road movie, based on the old 1950s Bing Crosby films. The three performers (famous for their ABBA impersonations) get hired to play in a casino in the middle of the Outback. They buy an old bus that they name Priscilla, and then begin a weeklong, alcohol-soaked journey to get to the gig. Along the way they argue with each other, make fun of each other, wear fabulous gowns, and encounter a number of silly adventures. Perhaps the best moment is them breaking down in the desert and meeting a bunch of aborigines who are fascinated by their show one of them even puts on one of their evening gowns and dances with them. Of course, they also meet some homophobes during the trip, but they prove much stronger than the bigots and are more than able to hold their own. The most touching part of the film is when they meet a mechanic who is having problems with a Thai hooker he drunkenly married in Bangkok. She leaves him, and he agrees to come along with them on the bus. In no time at all he's falling in love with Stamp's Bernadette, and the romance slowly builds until both of them find true love. The heart of the film is the relationship Weaving has with his boy. He tries to act butch and very heterosexual around him, but that just confuses the child. Meanwhile, Pearce acts as flamboyant as a peacock and the boy immediately embraces him. This causes Weaving to stop feeling guilty about his sexuality and accept himself. At the end of the film, his son is actually directing the spotlight at their ABBA gig. So, what we have here is a camp gay comedy that treats its characters with the honesty and respect they deserve. You'll laugh at the many funny moments, but you'll also be moved by the scenes of brutal emotional honesty. That these actors became famous playing heterosexual roles in Hollywood after appearing in this film shows that the studio system doesn't completely believe in typecasting. That a film like this could have been made more than 25 years ago is truly astounding, and the script and performances themselves are legendary. If you ever want to spend a night just sitting back with a Stoli and cranberry and have a good time watching a good film, then rent, download or buy The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Even your straight friends will love it! cc boytoy.com 2012
  14. Every year they come out with some new shows that either flop or flourish. This year is no exception. I have been enjoying these new shows: Banshee The Following Ripper Street Anyone want to recommend others to watch?
  15. I stay at Holiday Inn Express in USA all the time. Love them. But, you never know overseas. I worry more about the speed of the Internet and the ease of getting around. I did go ahead and book the hotel in case I get some good reports. I'd then be able to spend those points in Paris this summer and save a ton of money.
  16. Anyone stayed at this hotel before? They have a fabulous deal for 5k points per night. That is just an incredible deal IMHO. http://www.priorityclub.com/hotels/us/en/global/redeem/pointbreaks/centralsouthamerica http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g303631-d582246-Reviews-Holiday_Inn_Express_Sumare_Ave-Sao_Paulo_State_of_Sao_Paulo.html I have booked the Intercontinental for 14 nights at 40,000 per night. This was save me nearly 500,000 points if I stay at the Holiday Inn. I just need to know it is OK and good Internet. Anyone?

  19. Do you use the "light switch" at the top left of the edit box? Can you switch it to see if a difference? I had this happening a few weeks back but not once at all lately.

  22. The Boy Scouts of America, one of the nations largest private youth organizations, is actively considering an end to its decades-long policy of banning gay scouts or scout leaders, according to scouting officials and outsiders familiar with internal discussions. If adopted by the organizations board of directors, it would represent a profound change on an issue that has been highly controversial -- one that even went to the US Supreme Court. The new policy, now under discussion, would eliminate the ban from the national organizations rules, leaving local sponsoring organizations free to decide for themselves whether to admit gay scouts. The chartered organizations that oversee and deliver scouting would accept membership and select leaders consistent with their organizations mission, principles or religious beliefs, according to Deron Smith, a spokesman for the Boy Scouts national organization. ndividual sponsors and parents would be able to choose a local unit which best meets the needs of their families, Smith said. http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/01/28/16739587-exclusive-boy-scouts-close-to-ending-ban-on-gay-members-leaders

  24. How To Deal With Homophobes Online In many ways, the Internet has been great for gay men. It's given us ways to contact others like us, make allies in the straight community, get laid, and generally feel less alone. But there is a downside as well. It also allows us to come in contact with right wing homophobes who will try to tear down everything we've accomplished. Some of these homophobes mean well, but have simply been given wrong information because of a general lack of education about homosexuality in our public school systems. Others are hateful and are trying to convince other people who may not have an opinion on homosexuality one way or another to come over to their side. Either way, you may be tempted to debate with them. If so, here's some advice on how you do it. If they say homosexuality is a choice. Point out that acting on homosexual impulses is a choice, but being homosexual is not. Explain that scientists have discovered a gene that is directly connected to homosexual feelings. If they say that the gene proves that homosexuality is a “birth defect.” Tell them that no, it simply proves that there is a natural component to homosexuality and that it means that being homosexual is no different than being born with red hair. If they say that CDC information shows that more gay men than IV drug users contract HIV in any given year. Agree with them in principle, but then point out that there are many, many more gay men than IV drug users which means that, by definition, there are going to be more cases. Point out that the CDC also says there are more cases of HIV spread through heterosexual conduct than through IV drug use as well. If they say that gays are perverted because they have anal sex which means they like shit. Show them the current studies that show that 44 percent of straight men have had anal sex with their female partners, and that similar numbers of women report enjoying anal sex on a regular basis. Therefore, anal sex is sort of the great equalizer among gays and straights. Often they will say that they have never met a gay person and don't understand why there seem to be so many of us online. First off, you can ask them how they can judge a group if they have never met a single one of their members. Secondly, you can point out that they probably have met any number of gay men or women in their lives, but simply don't know it, because not every gay person goes to a pride parade and people are not likely to share details of their sex lives with people who they can tell might become aggressive or hateful to them. They might try to tell you that homosexuals are unmanly or effeminate and try to act like women. This one is easy. Find pictures of your favorite daddy muscle top. Then find a picture of John Mayer. Ask them which of the two seems more like a real man – the pretty straight boy or the masculine queer. Sometimes they will try to say that the gay lifestyle is unhealthy. In this case, you can easily inform them that gay men are much more likely to hit the gym on a regular basis than straight men are. And that lesbians are much more likely to be vegetarians than straight women are – meaning they'll have lower cholesterol levels and be less prone to heart attacks. If they say that the Bible prohibits homosexuality. Tell them that it really doesn't. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is the Bible saying it's not a great idea for straight men to cheat on their wives by having anal or oral sex with female prostitutes – which was true at a time before condoms existed. Also point out that the Bible prohibits eating shellfish, wearing polyester, and dozens of other things that they do on a regular basis. Ask them why they pick and choose to hate the one thing the Bible actually says nothing about at all. If they say that gays only like shitty dance music like Madonna or Lady Gaga. Simply post them a YouTube link to any song by Rob Halford or Judas Priest. Finding a straight man under age 50 who doesn't think Judas Priest kicks ass is difficult, and even the most hardcore homophobe would have trouble giving Halford any shit. In the case that they try to equate homophobia with pedophilia. Point out that studies show that between 70 and 86 percent of all sexual contact between adults and children occurs between an older male and a female child. Also point out that the higher percentage of 86 percent represents communities that consider themselves particularly Christian, where there is a higher level of stigma on non-married sexual content. Sometimes they will say that we are trying to recruit them. Ask them if they shop at The Gap. If they say “yes,” assure them that we are not interested. Finally, if they use any hate speech against you at all. Just look up the website's contact information and report them for hate speech. No site wants to be known as one that allows hate speech – and, in fact, allowing threats to be made online can get a website in lots of legal trouble. Keep doing this, and you can deal with any homophobe online – and help spread tolerance and understanding throughout the online community. cc boytoy.com 2013
  25. We had talked about this a bit back but it looks like a powerful group of Senators want to include an exit system when visitors leave USA. A proposal would also require that an exit system be in place for tracking departures of foreigners who entered the country through airports or seaports, before any illegal immigrants could start on a path to citizenship. http://www.nytimes.c...on.html?hp&_r=0
