I have reviewed Roadhouse before in the Bangkok Burger Thread: http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/7220-bangkoks-best-burgers/ I went there tonight to try the Burger again but they had a Corned Beef and Cabbage special and I thought I'd give it a try. I am so glad it did. It was yummy. A bit dry but still the best I have had in Thailand. They served a nice size portion and the cost was 365 baht. Don't forget to ask for specials when you go out as you never know what will come your way. This one was a delight. The BF had the Ribs and Chicken dinner. Total for both of us for meal and drinks was 1300 baht.

LOL Thank you so much! You are too kind Sir! I am spending more time in India based on your recommendation (not directly but by proxy listening to you and the vast amount of history there FH) and the things I want to see. I am open to any good hotel or experience. But, if a true palace, the max I would pay for any hotel is 300 USD (OK OK, I paid more for a hotel in San Francisco last week but this is Asia). Over 300 USD, I turn into an Evil Queen!

Went to 3 bars tonight. Cost for drinks are 250 baht except for Dream Boys which was 330 baht. All IMHO too much and crazy to pay on a regular basis and thus why I don't frequent these bars or areas. XBoys is great. Good atmosphere, sexy boys, lots of activity. The music was really loud and noisy but they make up for that with sexy guys. XSize was the best tonight. They only had around 35 or so boys but they were friendly, sexy and attentive. I had 2 boys over for drinks and took one of them off. They were both sweet and sexy and very affectionate at the bar. The off fee was 400 baht. Dream Boys is the same as always. Good show, handsome guys and expensive drinks. The boys both told me the guys on stage were handsome but they never smiled. None of the guys on stage seemed happy to be there. They were all frowning and seem to be excited only at the possibility of leaving for the night. None of the bars were crowded and there was little activity anywhere. It was a Wednesday night so perhaps it will get better. I hope so! Still, it was good for me to see the boys. There are TONS of sexy boys in Bangkok and I can't imagine anyone not finding their type in one of these bars.

That also stopped me from voting. However, I do think a registration is required in order to maintain real results. It is easy to verify emails and one bar most likely won't register 1,000 different emails in order to win. So, I do understand the concept. I just didn't have the time to register. I do not mind giving up my e-mail as if I get constant spam from anyone, I just remove them from my list and I never hear from them again. I know James runs a good company and I am sure that they would not sell e-mails or give them to other companies. That said, I will take the time to register and vote. It is the least I can do. I do with James would post more information on this website. It is good PR for him and it free!

FH, it is good they are doing this. I have look at IHG properties in India and they are few and far between. That means I stay at Marriott properties more. If IHG had more choices, I'd stay there. I do like the HIE brand. TW: Thank you. I am trying. Still, I miss my 24 hour room service at the Intercontinental but the BF says he will go get me something down the street if I get hungry and he will only charge me 1k baht per trip (still cheaper than the Intercon).

Wanting to try something a bit different, the BF and I took up residence last night at the Holiday Inn Express. It is on the same road as Siam Paragon and MBK. It is within walking distance of MBK. It is a nice, clean hotel. There are no doormen but for the price, totally worth trucking your own luggage up to your room. The Internet is fast and FREE. The free breakfast was OK. Nothing special and noting to write home about but it was fine for me. What was really great is the Opening Price special. 1999 baht per night. This is a great deal IMHO for a really clean, nice hotel in the middle of Bangkok that is easy to get to all the shopping centers and the gay area. Book before the special ends. How to Get a Thai National an Indian Visa in Bangkok
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Almost forgot, on Soi 23, there is a photo shop for the photos. They put the guys in a suit and tie to make them look professional. What a brilliant idea! It really does change the appearance of the application to see the person in a nice suit and tie. I never knew the BF looked so hot in a suit! : -
I will say the Korean guys on my plane and in the airport were hot! I could easily go for them. FH, as you seem to know the area, are these guys are gay friendly as Thailand? I saw so many gay couples on the plane and in the airport but they were ALL very odd IMHO. That is, it was obvious one was very feminine and one was masculine. I mean really obvious. I saw it so many times. Why is that?

I had a bit of a slip and fall today and messed up knee, leg and arms. So, I do need some tender loving care. You think Hero would be able to take care of me?

Back again and willing to expand on this thread for one or two Burger places. Any suggestions for us to try?

The process is clearly laid out for all on the Indian Embassy of Bangkok's website. Basically, you need to have your boy special fill in all the online application. Make sure that every field is clearly answered. If no answer put NA. Once you fill out everything on that application (be sure he or she has all their parents names, cities of birth etc.) you take the application to Sumkumvit 25, 1 Glas House Building and 15th Floor. They will make sure all if fill out correctly, that you have 2 passport photos (be sure they are good or they will send you out to make new ones), a copy of your passport and the application. You will have someone check all this info, get a ticket to meet with an Immigration Expert and then your BF is on his own. If filled out properly, there should be no issues. You pay the fee 1830 baht and are told a decision will be made in 3 days. I found all this easy. The hard part was getting the right spelling of all the names, streets, etc for his family as the application must be filled out in English and not Thai. I did see several agencies there were there with bulk passports for Thais. I am sure these services do all the legwork for you. However, if you are in Bangkok and follow the instructions, it is pretty easy. They issue for Visas for 6 months. I hope this helps with anyone who had questions about their loved one getting a visa to India to see all the great historic places that the city offers.

Korean Air from LAX to Bangkok on the new A380 Jumbo: Review
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Haha. Yes, I do but I can't see them on the IPhone. I can view them in ITunes. I just bought the entire Sex in the City box sex and should have brought it with me for the trip. Next time. It is now my plane for choice for sure. What I find interesting is that the American Airlines suck. Big Time IMHO and they don't make flying enjoyable any more. Do they not realize they will loose their customers to other airlines if they don't start catering to them a bit more? So for Emirates, FH, I guess they have two less seats per isles more than Korean. I bet that is much much more comfortable! -
Damn it! There goes my Angry Sex thought. Oh well, let me think on Pixar.
-
Notice they choose the Angry Birds for this! Does this make grandma and grandpa soon to have Angry Sex? If so, isn't that often the best kind? Angry Sex and Make Up Sex are often my two favorites!
-
If he is the one that closed my LAX to BKK non stop, he should have been fired. It was an inconvenience.

Korean Air from LAX to Bangkok on the new A380 Jumbo: Review
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
I don't get the lack of movies either but for me, it was not a deal breaker. I watched 3 or 4 good ones and then I chatted and moved a bit more than normal. If I take the flight again, I'd just take a few CD's along with me for the ride. -
I am so glad I took this flight. It was so easy and comfortable. First, no lines at LAX for baggage. A breeze. The VIP Lounge was OK but nothing special. The plane ride was fantastic. The seats were very comfortable and laid all the way down. It was the best ride I had in Business Class in ages. I was able to lay face down and there was room for my wide ass and my 6'3" body. The Video monitors were the biggest I have seen and very easy to control. They were clear and enjoyable. They did NOT have a large variety of videos so if you are going to Seoul and then to Bangkok, bring something to read or another video for your PC. The Business Class seats had a place to plug in the laptop and phone. I really, thoroughly enjoyed my ride! Perhaps the best thing was the lounge area at the top and back of the business class section. The entire 2nd Floor is Business/First. It had 23 rows of 6 seats each. There was at least one attendant for each 4 or 5 rows. Service was excellent. The Lounges gave free drinks and mixed cocktails. It was also easy to stretch and just break up the monotony of the sitting. I meet a few nice guys and sat and chatted for a few hours. It really made the time go back fast! I also loved being able to stretch my legs out. No sore knees or swollen feet today! The connection in Seoul was very tight and I left my plane, rushed to the next one and got in just as they called Last Call. It is only 50 min so you have to be careful to not dilly dally. Luggage came in safe and sound. I always travel with more than the allotment and the cost for each additional bag was 200 USD. The ticket cost 4200 USD for Business. As Delta's upgradable fares were higher, I am glad I went this route and I'll even use my points on Delta. I have attached a few photos. I hope you enjoy them and get a sense of the plane. I loved this ride and the new A380's are now my favorite thing in the sky!

I remember back when I was in NYC and they would have Fleet Week and I always had a blast. We would go to all the bars and yes, even back then, there were hot Navy guys on Christopher Street. My favorite military story was years ago in Pattaya. I was out with some friends when a Navy ship was in town. We went to a ladyboy bar and these ladyboys were beautiful. It was a small bar on the same soi as all the lady bars. No way would anyone know these were guys unless you knew the scene. There was one hot gentleman that I couldn't take my eyes off and he was wasted drunk. He kept trying to feel the pussy of the ladyboy but she was very good to move and move his hand. She did go down and give him a great blowjob, much to my delight. I do not think he ever knew that this was not a lady. It was great to watch and as she wasn't doing this for money, I tipped her very well!
-
Dear Pumpkin, I am not sure if this helps you or not, but I'll be adding some threads soon as I hope to visit and test every bar in Bangkok, Pattaya and maybe even Chiang Mai very soon. So, if you are interested in money boy updates, sit tight. If you are interested in general issues, check out the other forums on this site. They are filled with gems of information. If you are just looking to start a conversation, how about starting one on a topic I love. Tell me which bars have you been to lately, which ones do you recommend, which ones should I avoid on my next visit to Land of Smiles? That said, welcome to the site!

How is the Tourists Scene in Bangkok and Pattaya
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
LOL I wish everyone would come back to town for me. but, the way things are looking on this trip, I may do a bit more traveling than usual and spend time all over Asia as opposed to just in Thailand. Since the BF has said he wanted to travel, I want to take advantage of it. -
With travel getting more and more expensive, esp for those of us that use the USD, hotels are one major expense. I noticed on my last trip to Brazil the average room was 400 USD for Rio and Sao Paulo. I have to admit that Firecat was right, Rio is now too expensive to enjoy. (don't tell him I said that) Here is an interesting article from the Telegraph: The average cost of a night in the Brazilian city during the first three months of 2012 was £192.88, nearly 50 per cent more expensive than during the same period last year. The cheapest destinations to feature in the study were Bangkok, Prague and Beijing, where a hotel typically cost just under £50 a night. Budapest, at £52, provided similarly good value, while rooms in Vienna were £74 on average. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/travelnews/9260072/Rio-hotels-are-the-worlds-most-expensive.html

Video of one of my favorite Rio guys!

What is it about the Brazilian sauna boys that they want so much muscle? Is that what the Brazilian customers want? -
I have spent several hundred nights in Sao Paulo over the last 10 years and I love the city. It reminds me of New York. The restaurants and hotels are amazing and the night clubs are to die for. I agree with Axiom that Danilo would be a great guide for anyone. He is not a hooker so don't expect sex. But, he can show you the best time in Sao Paulo. Lagoa is amazing and I am rarely disappointed there. I do like Fragata as well. I always find guys at both places. I think Fragata has more twinks that are to my liking than Lagoa but it is smaller as well. There is a great cruising scene in the park every night. If you have someone with you, go there if you are a voyeur. It is lots of fun. Have a fantastic trip and let us know what you think when you are there!
