If he is the one that closed my LAX to BKK non stop, he should have been fired. It was an inconvenience.

Korean Air from LAX to Bangkok on the new A380 Jumbo: Review
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
I don't get the lack of movies either but for me, it was not a deal breaker. I watched 3 or 4 good ones and then I chatted and moved a bit more than normal. If I take the flight again, I'd just take a few CD's along with me for the ride. -
I am so glad I took this flight. It was so easy and comfortable. First, no lines at LAX for baggage. A breeze. The VIP Lounge was OK but nothing special. The plane ride was fantastic. The seats were very comfortable and laid all the way down. It was the best ride I had in Business Class in ages. I was able to lay face down and there was room for my wide ass and my 6'3" body. The Video monitors were the biggest I have seen and very easy to control. They were clear and enjoyable. They did NOT have a large variety of videos so if you are going to Seoul and then to Bangkok, bring something to read or another video for your PC. The Business Class seats had a place to plug in the laptop and phone. I really, thoroughly enjoyed my ride! Perhaps the best thing was the lounge area at the top and back of the business class section. The entire 2nd Floor is Business/First. It had 23 rows of 6 seats each. There was at least one attendant for each 4 or 5 rows. Service was excellent. The Lounges gave free drinks and mixed cocktails. It was also easy to stretch and just break up the monotony of the sitting. I meet a few nice guys and sat and chatted for a few hours. It really made the time go back fast! I also loved being able to stretch my legs out. No sore knees or swollen feet today! The connection in Seoul was very tight and I left my plane, rushed to the next one and got in just as they called Last Call. It is only 50 min so you have to be careful to not dilly dally. Luggage came in safe and sound. I always travel with more than the allotment and the cost for each additional bag was 200 USD. The ticket cost 4200 USD for Business. As Delta's upgradable fares were higher, I am glad I went this route and I'll even use my points on Delta. I have attached a few photos. I hope you enjoy them and get a sense of the plane. I loved this ride and the new A380's are now my favorite thing in the sky!

I remember back when I was in NYC and they would have Fleet Week and I always had a blast. We would go to all the bars and yes, even back then, there were hot Navy guys on Christopher Street. My favorite military story was years ago in Pattaya. I was out with some friends when a Navy ship was in town. We went to a ladyboy bar and these ladyboys were beautiful. It was a small bar on the same soi as all the lady bars. No way would anyone know these were guys unless you knew the scene. There was one hot gentleman that I couldn't take my eyes off and he was wasted drunk. He kept trying to feel the pussy of the ladyboy but she was very good to move and move his hand. She did go down and give him a great blowjob, much to my delight. I do not think he ever knew that this was not a lady. It was great to watch and as she wasn't doing this for money, I tipped her very well!

Dear Pumpkin, I am not sure if this helps you or not, but I'll be adding some threads soon as I hope to visit and test every bar in Bangkok, Pattaya and maybe even Chiang Mai very soon. So, if you are interested in money boy updates, sit tight. If you are interested in general issues, check out the other forums on this site. They are filled with gems of information. If you are just looking to start a conversation, how about starting one on a topic I love. Tell me which bars have you been to lately, which ones do you recommend, which ones should I avoid on my next visit to Land of Smiles? That said, welcome to the site!

How is the Tourists Scene in Bangkok and Pattaya
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
LOL I wish everyone would come back to town for me. but, the way things are looking on this trip, I may do a bit more traveling than usual and spend time all over Asia as opposed to just in Thailand. Since the BF has said he wanted to travel, I want to take advantage of it. -
With travel getting more and more expensive, esp for those of us that use the USD, hotels are one major expense. I noticed on my last trip to Brazil the average room was 400 USD for Rio and Sao Paulo. I have to admit that Firecat was right, Rio is now too expensive to enjoy. (don't tell him I said that) Here is an interesting article from the Telegraph: The average cost of a night in the Brazilian city during the first three months of 2012 was £192.88, nearly 50 per cent more expensive than during the same period last year. The cheapest destinations to feature in the study were Bangkok, Prague and Beijing, where a hotel typically cost just under £50 a night. Budapest, at £52, provided similarly good value, while rooms in Vienna were £74 on average. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/travelnews/9260072/Rio-hotels-are-the-worlds-most-expensive.html

Video of one of my favorite Rio guys!
TotallyOz replied to a topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
What is it about the Brazilian sauna boys that they want so much muscle? Is that what the Brazilian customers want? -
I have spent several hundred nights in Sao Paulo over the last 10 years and I love the city. It reminds me of New York. The restaurants and hotels are amazing and the night clubs are to die for. I agree with Axiom that Danilo would be a great guide for anyone. He is not a hooker so don't expect sex. But, he can show you the best time in Sao Paulo. Lagoa is amazing and I am rarely disappointed there. I do like Fragata as well. I always find guys at both places. I think Fragata has more twinks that are to my liking than Lagoa but it is smaller as well. There is a great cruising scene in the park every night. If you have someone with you, go there if you are a voyeur. It is lots of fun. Have a fantastic trip and let us know what you think when you are there!

Rio hotels are the most expensive
TotallyOz replied to msclelovr's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
The rates are what make things crazy for Rio. I use to stay at the Intercontinental Hotel for 125 a night. The last time I looked they were almost 400 a night. That hotel is no longer and I can't use my points there. Therefore, I am screwed when it comes to visiting Rio. I have spoken to Ihpguy many times and he is very encouraging about my desire to live in Rio but the only way to do it is to live like a Brazilian and not a tourist. I'll have to give up many things if I ever try to make a go of that dream. -
I had a long conversation with the BF and he wants to go on the trip. If I am able to get us both visas, we will both go. He said that he thought it would be good for him to see a new place and learn new things. I told him I would be working part of the time but he said that was OK. We will spend most of our time in Pune but some in Mumbai and Delhi. We will only have about 2 weeks there so we will try to squeeze as much as possible into the 2 weekends. I hear that many see the Taj and another major World Heritage site. But, I have a lot to do to get ready for this trip and figuring out the transportation, hotels, etc to make sure the BF has a good time just added to the things I need to do.

Networks announce a lot of cancellations and renewals on Friday
TotallyOz replied to a topic in The Beer Bar
I really liked Harry's Law and GCB. I think they were both better than some of the other shit that got renewed. I hate to see Missing cancelled. I thought it was really well done. -
We would go to the Taj and to Mumbai and Pune. We'd stay in a really nice place in Mumbai. I am not sure he would get more bored with me there than he would anywhere else. Not sure what that says about me, but.....

You guys have been wonderful in giving me information and I hope some can help with this. I am going to India. I want to take my Thai BF. Does he need a visa? Is it hard for him to get? Would I be able to get it fast? Is Visa on Entry possible?

I saw this group back in NYC many years ago and loved it. It was a great experience!

Are most of the bars full? Lots of things going on? It is getting slow for the boys? Have most of them returned home for the "low season"?

Very Cool Hotel in Bangkok: How Gay Friendly is it?
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Thank for the comments guys. I appreciate it. I'm going to test the new hotel and see how I like it. I think I just may love it. Or, so I hope. -
OK guys. I'll try to help even more on this thread. But, I am only giving advice for which is worth nothing. There are so many issues in this thread about issues that individuals are having with the board software. Has anyone reported those or e-mailed those to the owners? If not, do you think they will read through this thread over and over to pick up issues when this thread has gone off in many different directions many times? I was bored with this thread on page 2 and it is now on page 7 with 132 posts. Only the first few had anything to do with the original topic which was posted by me (not by me) and thus, you are posting questions in the midst of a jungle of a post and IMHO, this is not the place to post your specific questions and esp if you expect an answer. I can't even keep up with everything here. My advice, start a new post or better yet, email them. GayButton as for security issues, you seem to be of the mindset if it isn't broke, don't fix it. There are reasons that the manufacturers of board software update their code on a regular basis. They do so to fix issues in the code. They do so to fix possible issues with security and spammers. They do so for a variety of reasons. IMHO and only IMHO, when you pay a fee to a company (Invision, PHPBB, etc.) and you have the ability to have the latest code you are being prudent to keep it up to date. I have said this hundreds of times over the years and I still believe it and I would recommend to you and anyone else to always use the latest code of the forum software. They update for a reason. Just like Apple updates for a reason. (I had a major update to my OS yesterday). Having said all this, as I have for years, I don't think you and I will ever agree about keeping software, code and OS up to date. I'll let you believe "if it isn't broke don't fix it" and I'll keep believing that the best way to provide customers with the best experience is to keep your code up to date. That said, I have said all I will say in this long thread.

I find this all amusing. I like Travolta and I think he is gay. But, I can't imagine him forcing himself on anyone. He would not need to do that. And, if he hired from the local rags an erotic masseur, they would know that that means a sex massage for 200 an hour. IMHO, he is being set up!

FH, I am happy to answer to the best of my memory. Were the porn vdo elements always at the foot of the Message Board page? Answer: No, I am sure they weren't. They were initially at the top of the site. I am not sure how long they were there. We had them set up to pop up inside profiles at one point in time and then removed that. If not, were they always visible when members were on the Message Board? Answer: The site changed a few times over the years. The majority stayed the same but we tried putting video box covers in ads, links on main part of site and links on the bottom. But, the the forum, there are always complications. I know at one point (for several years) all the links at the bottom did not work and were never fixed. If you clicked on them, they went back to forum homepage and did nothing else. To explain further, when you put any ads or footers on the forum page it requires a great deal of customization. The reason for this is the software makers want you to use their ad software. When you create your own, or do any modifications to it, EVERY time you change or update the forums, all that customization needs to be checked and redone. When I had the initial site developed, the programmers I used really did a horrible job at piecing together things and it just seemed like an insurmountable task to fix all the issues. The longer I let things go, the worse they became. I fired the original programmers shortly after they made the site and even though I had other programmers, the code was so poorly done that I never had the courage to make the deep changes that were needed. If not, where were they located? Answer: I think answered above. Unfortunately, I don't remember all the answers to your questions. I wish I did. I do know that money was made off of the video links for years. Where those links came from on the site, I don't remember. I don't remembers a great deal about the way it worked. I also had a partner on this site for years and then it was just me. As it was only me for several years, I let things slide more than I should have. I should have been more diligent in many areas of the site as it is a site that I cared about and still do.

Well, he finally grew some balls. A little late to the party but at least he showed up.

Very Cool Hotel in Bangkok: How Gay Friendly is it?
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
I did book a few nights at this hotel to test while I am in Bangkok. I am excited to see how Hero has changed since the raid and being close by allows me to check daily to ensure consistency. -
I have been to Hua Hin a few times but never from Bangkok. I am thinking of getting a car to drive down. Is that the best way from Bankgok? How long does it take for the trip? Approximate cost? If I think go from Hua Hin to Chiang Mai, I will fly. Any airlines you recommend for this short trip?
