  1. You may be right. But, it is persistence that is key and one's ability to write over and over. Ex. Years ago I was using Ticketmaster to follow Madonna across 20 US cities. In NYC, I had the front row tickets but Ticketmaster stole them (my words) and I could not check out. I made a screen capture and started writing to them. I got no where. I then wrote to the CEO's personal e-mail (talked to one of his secretaries that gave to me) and he was pissed I kept writing to him. But, in the end, he gave me 4th row seats and a back stage pass. I had a great time watching her everywhere but NYC was especially delightful as I knew I worked harder to get the tickets.
  2. I had no problem with the Crown Plaza and that is a short walk to Soi Twilight. Register for 2 and if they try to make you pay, put the guy on your room list and then when he leaves take him off. I just walked my guys into the room with no problem.
  3. What I have learned in dealing with airlines, it is not what happened but who you contact. I always get good results when I contact the CEO and board of directors for companies. I also cc those letters to the appropriate customer service department. After one polite letter to customer support, I suggest you skip the next 20 steps and go for the big guns!

  5. I get told this all the time as well. I always ask when they say "my brother", "same same mama papa?" They will say yes or no. Most say no not same same.
  6. No, sorry. I have one BF but I have found it is often good for him to always have another Thai friend with him. But, last weekend was his Birthday so had a few of his friends up for the weekend. They are all gone now and it is just me and him.
  7. I read EVERY Hardy Boys Mystery on the market. And, I also loved Nancy Drew.
  8. Well, I have always wanted to hike Mt. Kilimanjaro and then take a safari. But, the worst thing on my bucket list is to buy a Tuk Tuk and drive around the entire world (beating the Guinness Book of World Records for a Tuk Tuk).

  11. I don't hire people based on interviews so I have never had to deal with these types of situations. But, as someone who has taken a 20 year leave from "real" work, I hope that should I return that I'll be employable. I also think that after working so many years that a long holiday is in order. It was not even be an issue in Europe as they get long vacations every year. My stepfather use to get 10 weeks paid ever 5 years. He loved it. We hated it. But, taking 6 months off after working for years may be a great eye opener. Smell the roses and enjoy your time but keep abreast of all the postings and opportunities should something wander your way. IMHO
  12. Kathryn Tucker Windham was one of my favorite authors when I was a child. She wrote a great book 13 Alabama Ghosts and Jeffrey that dealt with the ghost that lived in her house with her. It was my first book that I remember that I read over and over and over again. She was a journalist and reporter. She lived to be 93. Farewell Ms Windham. May you rest in peace! http://www.npr.org/2011/06/13/137155004/alabama-storyteller-kathryn-tucker-windham-dies

  17. The above was not from me. Now my take. I personally do not like most Japanese restaurants. I don't like them at all. So, for me to go to any place it will be a special event. It was the BF's BD so it was his choice. All I can say is HOLY COW! I loved this place. The food was delicious. They had a great variety. The sushi was good. The hot food was amazing. We tried about 10 different plates for the group. The pizza was excellent. I am now a convert to this place and will eat there weekly. The boys, a group of four, loved the place and want to go back again. We all left full and satisfied. They all like Japanese food and they all loved the place. I normally hate it but I loved the place. The prices were reasonable for a high end place and we got out for about 750 baht per person. We all had alcohol. The staff was great and friendly and helpful. They loved flirting with the boys. (so did I) I recommend this place!
  18. Sorry guys, you were too late. His BD was today and we picked Nanjya Monjya Address:Ground floor, Ascott Building 187 South Sathorn Road Bangkok, Thailand Phone: 02-676-7190-1 I found this review with photos online and have pasted part here: From: http://www.at-bangkok.com/detail_page.php?sub_id=478 Quote: "You know anything about Japanese pizza? We only heard of the name but really didn't know what it is like, until we found out this place "Nanjya Monjya". It is hidden at the back of the Sathon Accott service apartment on ground floor. The interior is what we would imagine a Japanese restaurant would be with light wood flooring, tables, and wooden mezzanine structure. Most of the tables equiped with a large flat cooking pan. We were greeted with the young manager Khun Hideki Kaneko, formerly known as a professional tennis player who played many tournaments with Paradon and the Asean Games. The Japanese take their food very seriously and to see how their food was prepared or better do some cooking themselves is preferable. Nanjya Monjya provides a wide array of Japanese cuisine but what this place have that not other have is the Japanese pizza and Monjyayaki. Japanese pizza also call Okonomi yaki is layers of vegetable, toppings(pork, sea food, etc.), noodles, mayonnaise, sauce, dried cutlet fish cooked on a large flat pan. It could be prepared by the social staff at your table or better by yourself. There is a magazine they give out to dinners how everything is done and it is also the menu. We tried the "Buta Modan" pork belly, egg noodles, and a vegetable mixture. When done it is sliced into pie pieces like pizza. Monjyayaki is similar but every ingredient is mixed together in a bowl with fish soup and saut
  19. Thanks. It is going fine. In 5 weeks, I have lost 14 pounds. That is a good start IMHO. The boxing isn't the best but working out has now become a daily habit and that is what I was hoping for.
  20. I have a set fee I pay for things. One price for massage and JO, one for BJ and one for fucking. I always give the same no matter where I am in Thailand. If someone is great, I give more. However, I separate the money so they understand it is not an every day occurrence. I'll hand them the money for services and say "this is for short time." I then hand them 100 baht for taxi and say, "this is for taxi." I'll then hand them a tip and say, "this is for you to buy present today." If I see someone over and over, I rarely give the "present" every time. It is done if they are great. I am always clear when I give "present" and say, this is not the same I give every time, only for today. That is true to an extent depending on the boy.
  21. Tomorrow is the BF's birthday. He has a few friends in town for the weekend and they went to JJ Market shopping today. Tomorrow, he said he wants to eat Japanese food for dinner. I will be taking a few boys with us so I am looking for a great place that is also not going to kill my ATM more than the weekend already has. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  22. I was doing some research on range meats and came across a website in Bangkok. It sounded interested to me so I went there. The food was delicious. It is a Thai place with a flare. The fried chicken was great and the fish in leafs was awesome. I don't drink but my friends had cocktails and they said it was yummy. I am not sure that this place is everyone's cup of tea but the food is tasty, the menu has something for everyone (if you like Thai food) and the place is adorable. If you have never been there, give it a try. I suggest you make a reservation. Soul Food Mahanakorn 56/10 Sukhumvit Soi 55 0859042691 http://www.soulfoodmahanakorn.com/
  23. I was there last week. Future Boys was my favorite for many years and I feel I owe them a bit after so many good times. The place was redone and it looks fantastic. They really did a fantastic job on the place. Truly beautiful IMHO. The boys: well, they were not the best and they didn't have the most but there were one or two cutties I would like to spend time with. I didn't stay for a show this week but will go back and try it again in a few weeks. Shamelssmack always does a great job with his reviews. His assessment of the prices was great. I'd suggest that no place on that Soi should be 300 baht thought. It isn't worth it IMHO including Dream Boys and Jupiter. 250 should be the high for those and the rest at 200. That is affordable and would draw in more customers IMHO.
  24. I have had this boy to my apartment once or twice a week now for massages. He is fantastic and sweet. It is so good to run into guys you have not seen in ages and they get even better with time.
  25. Nothing has changed on our end. Were the pics Attached to the post or were they from the web somewhere? If the latter, if that photo disappears from the url you linked to, they disappear here as well. I like attachments as they should then stay here.
