  1. I am lagging behind in the movies I need to see. I have waited for some to come to Pattaya but I guess I'll have to get more of them on DVD before the awards show.
  2. LOL. The boys use the term. It means it is a more "hands on" approach inside the bar. Make sense now?
  3. lonley. I really loved reading that story. Thank you for sharing this!
  4. The level of music depends on one customer. When he walks in and the entire time he is the music level is great and you can hear someone next to you. When he leaves, it goes up again. TIT
  5. The Academy Award nominations are out and there are several movies I have not seen. In years past, we have put up a list on MER and let people vote. We will do the same this year when I have edited the list or I find a copy that is easy to cut and paste for a ballot. Who do you think got screwed by the Academy?
  6. OK. I'd like to say that this story is not about me. But as Lucky was here for a visit, he will know I am full of shit. So, I'll fess up now. My ex became my ex because he lied to me. Not once, or twice but many times over the years. We were together for 7 years. I'll admit that no one else seems to keep my attention the way he did and still does. He was that one guy that always made me happy the moment I saw him and I stayed happy the entire time I was with me. The lies were all about stupid shit. I am just a smart cookie and I can put 2 and 2 together. I often confronted him when I knew the answer to my question but he would still lie about it eve though I knew for sure it was a lie. He had no reason to lie. I am very easy going and don't care what a BF does as long as drug and lies are not involved. We have now been broken up for several months. I still see him about 2 times a month and I love the time I spend with me. He is ready to come and live with me any time I ask. But, for me, I have stopped short of that as I know I can't trust him. Could you forgive someone if they lied to you? Is there anything they would be able to do to convince you that they will try to make things right?
  7. I feel in love with books as a child. The Wizard of Oz took me to another world. The Hobbitt was the book that deprived me of sleep for nights upon end until I finished it. Gone with the Wind and Huck Finn were read under the covers of my bed with a flashlight so my family would not catch me up so late. My favorites involved adventure: Robin Hood, King Arthur, Captain Horatio Hornblower, etc. I am embarrased to say The Hardy Boys and the Nancy Drew Mysteries were some of my favorites as were comic books of any genre. When I ran out of legends, I read Edgar Allen Poe and Sherlock Homes. I feel in love with Keats and Shelly at an early age. But, I always took the time to read Stephen King and John Grisham. I seem to be able to read those in a few hours and books like The Hunchback of Notre Dame took me days. My first read of a little story about Romeo and Juliet took me a week but I found I had to read it over and over again. I had 4 bookcases in my room as a child. I took special care of the books and I made sure that all were kept in pristine shape. I still have a passion for reading but haven't bought a book in a while. My Kindle and IPad provide most of the entertainment for me while on a plane, watching the sunset or just relaxing by the pool. While these devices are great, nothing really beats my bookcases as a child. What were your favorite books as a child, and why?
  8. I have wanted to test a colonic detox spa ever since Jack from Oud's cafe told me he has spent some time in one. I have not made any appointments at a place in fear of not liking the treatment. When I found a place in Pattaya that offers one day or 1/2 day or just one session colonics, I gave them a try. The place is located in the Fairtex Center at the beginning of 2nd Road. Fairtex is an amazing gym with Muay Thai training, swimming pool, etc. The sauna is called Rasayana and it is very clean and well maintained. The staff is great and the lady that worked with me on my colonic was profession and helpful. The room was nice and they have a full menu of spa treatments other than colonics. They also have a whole foods cafe that looks very nice and I'm going to give it a try sometime this week. The colonic cost 2650 baht. I have attached a photo of the colonic table. The 1 hour session was well worth a test to see if this is something one might want to try. I will not say I enjoyed it but I can't say it was bad either. 179/201 Moo 5, North Pattaya Rd. 9. I agree with PattayaMale. I was there a few nights back and really enjoyed it. It was the first time I had been in the bar in a while and they are making a comeback. The boys were nice and they had great eye contact. The drinks were cheap even for the area. The music was better than any other bar I have been into recently and the air con was pumping out cool air. Drop by and check out this bar on your next visit to the area!
  10. I went to Nice Boys last night and there were at least 50 boys and as many customers. The place was packed. They still have some of the sexiest guys in Pattaya and worth a visit when you drop by the area!
  11. Tom Yum reopened a few nights back. They are one of the only 2 free style bars left in Pattaya. The bar is located next door to Oud's in Soi Sunee in Pattaya.
  12. And from Chord Overstreet! He forgot to mention that he loved cuddling with TotallyOz and getting Bear Hugs and Sloppy Kisses under the moonlight!
  13. Wow. That brings back such great memories. I read the book when I was a lot younger and I think I missed a great deal. I hadn't thought of the book in years until you brought this subject up. Thanks. I'll have to go back and give it a reread.
  14. Thai's always look younger than they are. I looked 24 when I was 15. So, hopefully when I get older, I'll look younger.
  15. A zookeeper was shot and killed as he was leaving work. An antigovernment demonstrator who sought shelter in a Buddhist temple was shot five times but lived, possibly because a coin in his satchel deflected a bullet. A soldier who rushed to help a fallen comrade after an explosion suffered severe brain damage from a second blast. The tales of the dead and wounded from the political violence last year in Bangkok could fill volumes. But they are not filling case dockets in the Thai courts. Eight months after troops swept through Bangkok and dislodged protesters from their barricaded encampment, investigations into who was responsible for about 90 deaths and nearly 2,000 wounds have faltered. A body set up by the government to investigate the violence, the Independent Fact-Finding Commission for Reconciliation, says the military and the police are refusing to cooperate.
  16. I really liked Euro Boys but it was half the size of Jimm's bar and Jim furnished his bar great. I would love to see both opened again and gogo's flourishing in Sunee. I think competition is good for business for all. If both bars opened we would be able to call it a Renaissance in Soi Sunee! With the opening of the new bar where Kaos once stood, the path is started.
  17. Yeah Fountainhall. Come on man! It has only been 2 years since they updated the site. I am sure an official statement is forthcoming! hehe Frankly, I don't care much about Ocean 1. I am waiting on an official statement from Jimm Jimmy James about when it will reopen! More pressing issues than Ocean 1 are on my mind.
  18. LOL See, poor businesses in LOS. See, you take my towel boy to any disco in Thailand and you get all the other cute boys for free. Pay for one towel boy and get hundreds of hotties. Or, pay for 3 and get what you pay for. Good luck with your booking with Z. I'll take number 1 for you.
  19. BANGKOK, Jan 23 (Reuters) - About 30,000 anti-government "red shirts" rallied in Thailand's capital on Sunday in another show of strength that heralds a rocky run-up to an election due this year. It was the second big rally this month by the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) and serves as a reminder of the polarisation that has plagued Southeast Asia's second-largest economy for the past five years. The mostly rural and urban working-class "red shirts" marched from the upmarket shopping district they effectively closed for much of April and May last year to Democracy Monument in the city's old quarter. The protests last year were halted by a military crackdown. In all, 91 people were killed, and many UDD leaders remain in detention, one of the reasons for the latest protests. "We will stay until midnight and will meet again on Feb. 13. Our rally will get bigger and bigger until the government releases our leaders," said Jatuporn Prompan, who managed to stay out of prison because of his status as a lawmaker. Some protesters said they were also there to show their support for former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted by the military in 2006 and now lives in exile to avoid a jail term handed down for corruption. "This government's policy is no good. I want Thaksin back," said Boonsri Sudanetr, 42, from Nakhon Ratchasima in the northeast of the country, a Thaksin stronghold. Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has promised an election sometime this year, perhaps in the first half, although that timeframe may not appeal to his coalition partners or his powerful backers in the military and royalist establishment. Analysts say the regrouping of the UDD and the zero tolerance shown by the authorities threaten instability and economic damage if political tensions again spill over into violence. "Despite (military and government) efforts to contain the situation, Thailand's political crisis will continue in 2011," risk consultancy IHS Global Insight said in a client note, adding there was a "high likelihood of further political instability, even if Abhisit manages to win the polls". http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSSGE70M00R20110123
  20. OK. Here he is!
  21. Wow. This is a great picture. It does show that this is not going to be over any time soon. I wonder what, if anything, can be done to bring the country to a reconciliation?
  22. Mark, I have said since Day 1 of the "new" Dragon opening that I thought the concept was great and creative. Do I really need to clarify every statement I make by stating the exceptions to the rule? I think I have a proven record of publicly supporting your bar. Don't assume that someone who makes a statement is talking about you or your bar. I was not and you really had no need to respond for all bar owners. If you represent them, then that is different. I thought they were represented by Sunee Plaza Info organization. I applaud you for taking up for your bar. But, you do not need to represent all the other bars. IMHO Dec 4, 2010: I went early. The place was packed with cute boys, coyote dancers and customers. I didn't stay for all the festivities as I had a later commitment. But, the party was very well done. Congrats to the owners for many years of good service. http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/6420-krazy-dragon-5th-anniversary-party dec-4/page__p__45678__hl__krazy__fromsearch__1#entry45678 Jan 3, 2010 Mark, you keep improving the venue and the website. A great job IMHO. I hope your work keeps paying off and that other bars will see your effort and mimic it. I especially enjoy your photos of the guys and the parties when you have them. It is nice to see some familiar faces when one is not in LOS. http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/4982-krazy-dragon-new-2010-website/page__p__32258__hl__krazy__fromsearch__1#entry32258 June 17, 2009 Krazy has a very laid back atmosphere. The music was no so loud and I was able to have a conversation with the guy I was talking to. http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/4293-a-night-at-krazy-dragon-in-pattaya/page__p__26554__hl__krazy__fromsearch__1#entry26554
  23. Paula Abdul fucked up as well by wanting more money. Hello, I'll shovel shit 20 hours a day for 14 million dollars. I think people let their ego get bloated and forget how much is at stake. But, if you are already a millionaire, do you really need another 14 million? (I would but some are happy to just go into the wild blue yonder). I don't think we have seen the last of him. My friends are Olbermann fanatics and they will follow him wherever he goes and they won't be alone! He will be back in some venue. No doubt in my mind.
  24. Here is the word for this week: fain \FEYN\, adverb: 1. Gladly; willingly. adjective: 1. Content; willing. 2. Archaic: Constrained; obliged. 3. Archaic: Desirous; eager. I saw Mark Antony offer him a crown; - yet 'twas not a crown neither, 'twas one of these coronets; - and, as I told you, he put it by once: but, for all that, to my thinking, he would fain have had it. -- William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar He would fain have ridden day and night, and grudged every halt for refreshment, so as almost to run the risk of making the men mutinous. -- Charlotte M. Yonge, A Chaplet of Pearls Fain has ancient roots in the Old English fæg, "happy."
