  1. I am looking at a plan in the USA through Blue Cross / Blue Shield for a friend. I found the below which I want to be sure I understand fully. Does this mean that is MRI is 1,000,000 (I know high) then the insured is responsible for 200,000? Imaging and diagnostic tests (such as an X-ray, MRI, EKG) 20percent coinsurance (no out of pocket max)
  2. Do you honestly think that even then they would be tried for anything?
  3. Thanks guys. Some great advice. Please keep it coming! As to a PR firm, how would I go about finding one that is good in LOS?
  4. I agree with most of what BKKguy said. I downloaded Apple's Word software called Pages and it opens all my word documents perfectly. I have found nothing that doesn't work well. I have movies on it that I converted to avi and they play perfectly. I have not checked out the IPad's competitors as I love my IPad and would not want another one. I have a great deal of money invested in apps for my IPad and thus, Apple has me hooked. I could not easily go to another device. Everything for me works great. But, Rich, if you want to try mine, let me know and you can come over one day and play with it and see how you like it surfing the Internet, etc.
  5. I don't think he is an idiot. I think he is evil. I think Bush is an idiot. I don't think he is evil. I don't think Bush has the IQ to rise to the level of even. Cheney is scum and I hope one day they are all tried as war criminals.
  6. Thank Ya! As always, keep up the good work!
  7. Yeah, I didn't know till after I had made plans for dinner. So, I skipped it. I have never understood why venues don't give notice of when things are going to occur. Perhaps, it is a private party for their regular customers or perhaps they think that the PGW is sufficient advertising. I don't know the answer. I do wish all the venues would utilize all the forums to get out information. To not do so is, IMHO, Thai logic. TIT
  8. Thanks for the heads up. That is very nice of you to post for them. I know most of the guys that run bars in Pattaya are not as Internet savvy as you and Mark from Krazy (obvious from your intelligent posts and your well organized sites) so it is kind of you to help them and get the word out. IMHO, that really shows class!
  9. As some of you may know I have been working on a project for a couple of years dealing with starting a bicycle ride across Thailand that will benefit gay charities. The goal of the ride is to raise money for charities in Thailand. I want the money raised to go to worthwhile gay charities. I know there are many good charities in Thailand that are beneficial to the gay community as well as the larger community. What I'm looking for, is a list of charities that are directly related to helping gay and lesbian people in the community. Basically, what I'm looking for is to sponsor a bicycle ride where riders will be able to donate money to different charities across Thailand. It is my opinion, in order for this to be successful, the event should only raise money for charities that show full books and accounts. I realize that that will alienate some established charities, but I can't see any other way to do this. I don't want this thread to deteriorate into something nasty. However, I would appreciate the most diverse opinions as possible from our esteemed posting community. This trip will be something I put a great deal of time and money into so I want to do it right from the beginning and to avoid as much controversy as possible. I am looking for as many comments and suggestions as possible. What I envision with my ride, is that riders will be able to raise at least $1000 and 100% of this amount will go to one of their charity sponsors. Riders will not incur any expenses for a two-week to four week bicycle ride across Thailand. I will pay 100% of hotel, transportation, support etc. and will also cover most meals. That leaves the riders only with raising money for charity. I have not yet decided on a route for this trip but am considering either starting in Chiang Mai and going to Phuket or starting in Pattaya and going to Phuket. Part of this will depend on the tour leader as he will help with the planning of things and make sure this ride is comfortable for all. Again, I would appreciate any suggestions, help, or advice that anyone has to offer.
  10. I have to agree with you. Diets will work for the short-term but they are never good for the long-term. What is needed in order to lose weight is a long-term plan of eating food that is good for you and refusing the food that is bad for you. That is where I have a hard time. Ordering McDonald's or KFC is never going to help someone get in shape. The best way that there is to lose weight is a consistent, daily exercise routine. It doesn't have to be a strenuous, hard-core, kill yourself kind of exercise, but it can be as simple as giving on the treadmill for 45 min. a day.
  11. This was one of the most enjoyable movies that I saw this year. Colin Firth stars as the monarch and gives an outstanding performance. Helen Bonham Carter, the future queen mother, also does an outstanding job. One of my favorite actors in any movie is Geoffrey Rush. I can't get enough of Geoffrey Rush. And in this movie he gives another outstanding performance. The movie was simply a joy to watch. The acting was superb and the entire movie was enjoyable from the very beginning to the very end. For me, it reminded me that the Royals are simply people too. They have their flaws and their weaknesses. And while they may not have the same problems that many of us have on a day-to-day basis they do have their own set of problems. If I looked really hard, I'm sure that I will be able to find some fault in this film. I didn't look at it as a history lesson but more as a work of art. I did not look for the inaccuracies in the telling of the story. I only looked at the movie as a joy to watch.
  12. It looks like the party is going to be a blast!
  13. I do not think that this is going to be a difficult process for you. I transferred from a PC to a Mac many years ago. The first few weeks were difficult, but after that it was very easy. Are you worried about transferring documents? If so, getting the latest version of Microsoft Office Suite for Mac means that there is no transfer loss. If you were worried about transferring computer programs from the PC to the Mac, then that is a different story. At this time most software companies that make a program for PC will also make the same program from Mac. Most also are cross platform compatible. I have used Boot Camp myself and it is okay. I much prefer Parallels. Parallels runs simultaneously the Mac operating system and the Microsoft Windows operating system. I've also used Apple's migration assistant transferring from one Mac to another Mac and nothing has ever been simpler. I did not use it to transfer my PC to a Mac so I have no experience with that. Lookin, have you ever tried Parallels? If not, and you like to be able to work on your PC and your Mac at the same time without shutting down your computer, I suggest given and try. I have been using it for years with no problems.
  14. I carry around DVDs that I like. I guess I have slightly over 250 DVD's that I enjoy. Years ago when customs was constantly checking everything I always check the DVDs. It made the entrance into the USA even longer. So I started leaving my DVD collection and USA after I burned many of the DVDs onto my computer. It took me about a week to burn the DVDs I wanted and keep them in my collection. But I would think that you would be able to find Heather's at TUT COM in Pattaya or MBK in Bangkok. My friend firecat uses one DVD guy right outside of Silom Soi 4. While this guy has mostly new movies, I'm sure if you are a regular and you asked, he would be happy to find most movies for you. I am sure you would also be able to download it from the Internet if you didn't search.
  15. You are right and it is a shame. A friend from the USA that gets advanced copies of all the releases brought several with him. This was one of the ones he brought. When I saw him and I started discussing movies, both present and past, many names came out of the woodwork that I haven't thought of for years. Today I watched one of those old movies. The movie, Torchsong Trilogy, brought back so many memories of yesteryear. Matthew Broderick and Harvey Fairstein were excellent in this movie. It was also one of the first gay themed movies that I ever saw. Still to this day, I still have a crush on Matthew Broderick. For some reason, the nostalgia of the past has been out in full force this week. I spent time this week going over some of the nominated movies, and movies that I've seen before that I wanted to see again. Probably way too much time has been spent in front of the TV this week. I know that the pizza delivery service in Thailand has had a very good customer the past few days. The movie True Grit was a true joy to watch. Jeff Bridges did a phenomenal job in the movie. I also thought that Matt Damon did a great job. I enjoyed this movie a great deal and it also brought back memories of my childhood as my mother and father both loved Western flicks. There were some movies I just could not get into this week and I'll have to try harder next week to watch them for the nominations. One of them was starring Nicole Kidman and I was excited to see the movie until I started watching it. I just wasn't able to get into it. But my goal is to see all the nominated movies before the award ceremony. If I would stop watching things that weren't nominated perhaps I'll get to them all before the ceremony begins. Another movie I watched this week was Heather's. Heather's is a black comedy starring Christian Slater and Winona Ryder. Although I have seen the movie at least 20 times it still brings a smile to my face to see it again. My favorite scene in the movie is the father of the quarterback for the football team who says "I love my dead gay son." There are so many wonderful lines in this movie that one needs to go back and watch it over and over. If you haven't seen it, give it a try.
  16. I have been trying to catch up on all the Oscar nominations that were announced recently. One of the movies that I watched this week is called Waiting for Superman. It is a documentary about the collapse and problems associated with the American education system. It takes several students and follows them before, during, and after a lottery process to get into charter schools. Davis Guggenheim (AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH) is the director. He received a nomination for best director. This was an amazing story. I love his other work and I knew that I would enjoy this one as well. I did. In fact, I enjoyed it so much I watched it two times. Coming from a family of educators, I'm sure that this movie will be the topic of conversation at many dinners over the coming year. Waiting For Superman is a must-see. http://www.waitingforsuperman.com/
  17. Has anyone tested the Dragon Dictate program? I have been using it for a couple of days and I really enjoy it. In fact, over the past few days I have not typed any messages into the Male Escort Review forum. The program does have a learning curve. But it is pretty easy to get used to and it makes the Internet experience a little bit more fun. The newest version of the program is going to be $199. For a limited time you can get it for $99. http://smithmicro.com
  18. I know of many guys who have a Prince Albert. I don't know of many men my age, or even younger, who like the Prince Albert's. I know I certainly would not want one for myself. It seems like it would be extremely painful. That being said, for those that are into piercings and tattoos it must be a tremendous turn on. I am one of the ones that love tattoos. And I also love piercings. But I like the piercings on the ear, the bellybutton, the nipple, the nose, the lip, and the tongue. Perhaps my distaste for the Prince Albert comes from I've never really been with a guy who had one.
  19. While that is a good sign, the key to successful Google rankings is having keywords that are searched often at Google. For the keyword of gay escort we are number seven. Naturally, rentboy.com is number one. The reason rent boy is number one is the scandal they had last year with the boy who handled the baggage for the preacher. That gave them thousands of links and high-quality publications across the world. It was SEO gold. I don't think it will be possible to beat them in the main keywords for several years to come. Before the scandal happened, we were consistently number one and number two with their website. For the keyword of male escort, we are also number seven. With rent boy being number one. On the BING search engine we fare a little bit better being number two.
  20. LOL. Well, I grew up in Alabama and was always an Auburn Tiger fan. All my family rooted for the Alabama Crimson Tide. I wanted to be different than my family. So, to be different, and to be able to bet on football, I told everyone that I was an Auburn Tiger fan. When I got ready to attend college, I visited the University of Alabama. I had several members of my family that were in attendance at the University of Alabama. And I had several good weekends of partying at the University of Alabama. The university was way too large for me. I knew that I would get lost in the mass of bodies, large classes, and parties. Several of my relatives that attended the University of Alabama had a hard time as well. They partied their entire freshman year and had to transfer their second year. So for the entire football season. I root for both the Alabama Crimson Tide and the University of Auburn Tigers. When it comes to game day between both teams, I always root for the Tigers. Two years ago the Alabama Crimson Tide was in the national championship game in California. My entire family flew out to see the game. They won't spend the money to travel to see me in Los Angeles or New York, but they will spend the money to fly to see the Alabama Crimson Tide in the National Championship. I am not really sure if I should take this personally or not. Growing up in Alabama, you learned that football is king. There is nothing else to do on a Friday night. My high school of 400 students, have a football stadium that would hold 10,000. Nothing was as important to the school, the community, and even to some churches, than the football team. Unfortunately, my body was too fragile to play football. LOL. Although, I did play with the quarterback a few times!
  21. I love urinals. In fact, if I ever buy another home, I'll place urinals in every bathroom. I am not sure why most American homes don't build them. It would save countless marriages and sibling fights. (No, I am not into Water Sports for those of you that were wondering.) http://www.popmatters.com/pm/feature/126662-the-urinal-a-brief-functional-and-aesthetic-history/
  22. Lurker, thank you for the links to the blogs. It is always amazing to me the amount of content that is available on the Internet. When I was growing up the only way for me to access the Internet was through America Online. There is a monthly fee I believe of 9.95. And that only got to five our 10 hours. I use those five or 10 hours to download porn. You wouldn't believe the overage charges that I paid on a monthly basis. And this was not that long ago. It's amazing the amount of content that is now available on the Internet. If all of these amazing blogs have been available on the Internet when I first started browsing on the Internet, I am sure that my overage charges would have been astronomically higher. I love the boybriefs.com website.
  23. I agree with you. I think next week the show will start taking off even faster and get even better. I have been one of the ones that really enjoyed this season so far. I think the judges are doing a good job. I do think they need someone like Simon. But, I do think this season has been easier for me to watch as they were traveling around trying to pick the ones I go to Hollywood. I agree with you here daddy. I do think Jennifer Lopez is one of the most beautiful women on the planet. I also think that Angelina Jolie can give her some good competition. I have always liked Jennifer Lopez's voice and in the movies. I have no doubt in my mind I'm going to enjoy her as a judge on American Idol this year. I think she has gotten off to a great start this year.
  24. I have a few questions for you. Do you forward all of the old names over to the new name? What would be the benefit of starting a new name? I do believe that a domain name is very important in the success of the website. Although you will get many domain names that are unimportant to the success of the site that usually has to do with a great deal of marketing and takes a webmaster a great deal of time to build up the traffic. A good name will often often put you at the top of Google very fast. So I've always believed that a good domain name is the first thing to consider when opening up a new website. If you start off with a good domain name, that you know will rise high in the Google ranking, you will end up spending less money on Google ad words. I know people that spend thousands of not hundreds of thousands of dollars every year to get high up in the Google rankings. If the domain name is the name of the keyword that you are looking to advance in the Google rankings, you get out of the gate faster than anyone else. That being said I have been watching your blog for a long time. I like it. I think it looks nice and I think the flow is easy to read and very comfortable. I know that I always use my bookmarks to find new websites. When websites change the URL of the website often times they lose traffic. Part of this is because people don't update the bookmarks in their browser. Part of it also is that every time you change a domain name and you stop working on that domain name you lose your ranking in Google. You need to keep the rankings in Google going high, and you need to keep people coming back to the site. If you look at the original Hooboy website, you will see that the domain name was not a very good one. However, he was able to make a great deal of money off of the website because the traffic was there. Once he realized the value of having the right domain name he started by and other domain names. I mention this only to show that any URL can be a successful domain name. The right domain name, however, puts you ahead of everyone else in the race.
  25. Thank you very much for that article. I really enjoyed reading the article. I went to school in Baltimore Maryland. At that time I was at a all-girls school (except for a few of us). The Naval Academy was always invited to our school for dances etc. I still remember the Navy boys getting off the bus. The United States Naval Academy at Annapolis is a wonderful institution. I spent a great time great deal of time at the Academy with some friends. I was always treated with the utmost of respect. Also in Annapolis Maryland is a school that I dreamed about after I finish my undergraduate degree. St. John's College is one of the great books colleges. If I had everything to do over again, I think I would've attended St. John's College. Although when I was 18 years old I don't think I would've been ready for such a difficult and challenging program. It wasn't until I was in my early 20s that I was actually ready to excel in a university program. Thanks again for pointing out this article, it brought back a lot of great memories.
