I agree with PattayaMale. I was there a few nights back and really enjoyed it. It was the first time I had been in the bar in a while and they are making a comeback. The boys were nice and they had great eye contact. The drinks were cheap even for the area. The music was better than any other bar I have been into recently and the air con was pumping out cool air. Drop by and check out this bar on your next visit to the area!

I went to Nice Boys last night and there were at least 50 boys and as many customers. The place was packed. They still have some of the sexiest guys in Pattaya and worth a visit when you drop by the area!

Tom Yum reopened a few nights back. They are one of the only 2 free style bars left in Pattaya. The bar is located next door to Oud's in Soi Sunee in Pattaya.

10 Things you didn't know about Harry Shum Jr. from Glee

Wow. That brings back such great memories. I read the book when I was a lot younger and I think I missed a great deal. I hadn't thought of the book in years until you brought this subject up. Thanks. I'll have to go back and give it a reread.

Thai's always look younger than they are. I looked 24 when I was 15. So, hopefully when I get older, I'll look younger.

A zookeeper was shot and killed as he was leaving work. An antigovernment demonstrator who sought shelter in a Buddhist temple was shot five times but lived, possibly because a coin in his satchel deflected a bullet. A soldier who rushed to help a fallen comrade after an explosion suffered severe brain damage from a second blast. The tales of the dead and wounded from the political violence last year in Bangkok could fill volumes. But they are not filling case dockets in the Thai courts. Eight months after troops swept through Bangkok and dislodged protesters from their barricaded encampment, investigations into who was responsible for about 90 deaths and nearly 2,000 wounds have faltered. A body set up by the government to investigate the violence, the Independent Fact-Finding Commission for Reconciliation, says the military and the police are refusing to cooperate.

I really liked Euro Boys but it was half the size of Jimm's bar and Jim furnished his bar great. I would love to see both opened again and gogo's flourishing in Sunee. I think competition is good for business for all. If both bars opened we would be able to call it a Renaissance in Soi Sunee! With the opening of the new bar where Kaos once stood, the path is started.

Yeah Fountainhall. Come on man! It has only been 2 years since they updated the site. I am sure an official statement is forthcoming! hehe Frankly, I don't care much about Ocean 1. I am waiting on an official statement from Jimm Jimmy James about when it will reopen! More pressing issues than Ocean 1 are on my mind.

LOL See, poor businesses in LOS. See, you take my towel boy to any disco in Thailand and you get all the other cute boys for free. Pay for one towel boy and get hundreds of hotties. Or, pay for 3 and get what you pay for. Good luck with your booking with Z. I'll take number 1 for you.

BANGKOK, Jan 23 (Reuters) - About 30,000 anti-government "red shirts" rallied in Thailand's capital on Sunday in another show of strength that heralds a rocky run-up to an election due this year. It was the second big rally this month by the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) and serves as a reminder of the polarisation that has plagued Southeast Asia's second-largest economy for the past five years. The mostly rural and urban working-class "red shirts" marched from the upmarket shopping district they effectively closed for much of April and May last year to Democracy Monument in the city's old quarter. The protests last year were halted by a military crackdown. In all, 91 people were killed, and many UDD leaders remain in detention, one of the reasons for the latest protests. "We will stay until midnight and will meet again on Feb. 13. Our rally will get bigger and bigger until the government releases our leaders," said Jatuporn Prompan, who managed to stay out of prison because of his status as a lawmaker. Some protesters said they were also there to show their support for former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted by the military in 2006 and now lives in exile to avoid a jail term handed down for corruption. "This government's policy is no good. I want Thaksin back," said Boonsri Sudanetr, 42, from Nakhon Ratchasima in the northeast of the country, a Thaksin stronghold. Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has promised an election sometime this year, perhaps in the first half, although that timeframe may not appeal to his coalition partners or his powerful backers in the military and royalist establishment. Analysts say the regrouping of the UDD and the zero tolerance shown by the authorities threaten instability and economic damage if political tensions again spill over into violence. "Despite (military and government) efforts to contain the situation, Thailand's political crisis will continue in 2011," risk consultancy IHS Global Insight said in a client note, adding there was a "high likelihood of further political instability, even if Abhisit manages to win the polls". http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSSGE70M00R20110123

OK. Here he is!

Wow. This is a great picture. It does show that this is not going to be over any time soon. I wonder what, if anything, can be done to bring the country to a reconciliation?

Mark, I have said since Day 1 of the "new" Dragon opening that I thought the concept was great and creative. Do I really need to clarify every statement I make by stating the exceptions to the rule? I think I have a proven record of publicly supporting your bar. Don't assume that someone who makes a statement is talking about you or your bar. I was not and you really had no need to respond for all bar owners. If you represent them, then that is different. I thought they were represented by Sunee Plaza Info organization. I applaud you for taking up for your bar. But, you do not need to represent all the other bars. IMHO Dec 4, 2010: I went early. The place was packed with cute boys, coyote dancers and customers. I didn't stay for all the festivities as I had a later commitment. But, the party was very well done. Congrats to the owners for many years of good service. http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/6420-krazy-dragon-5th-anniversary-party dec-4/page__p__45678__hl__krazy__fromsearch__1#entry45678 Jan 3, 2010 Mark, you keep improving the venue and the website. A great job IMHO. I hope your work keeps paying off and that other bars will see your effort and mimic it. I especially enjoy your photos of the guys and the parties when you have them. It is nice to see some familiar faces when one is not in LOS. http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/4982-krazy-dragon-new-2010-website/page__p__32258__hl__krazy__fromsearch__1#entry32258 June 17, 2009 Krazy has a very laid back atmosphere. The music was no so loud and I was able to have a conversation with the guy I was talking to. http://www.gaythailand.com/forums/topic/4293-a-night-at-krazy-dragon-in-pattaya/page__p__26554__hl__krazy__fromsearch__1#entry26554

Keith Olbermann gives abrupt goodbye to MSNBC show
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
Paula Abdul fucked up as well by wanting more money. Hello, I'll shovel shit 20 hours a day for 14 million dollars. I think people let their ego get bloated and forget how much is at stake. But, if you are already a millionaire, do you really need another 14 million? (I would but some are happy to just go into the wild blue yonder). I don't think we have seen the last of him. My friends are Olbermann fanatics and they will follow him wherever he goes and they won't be alone! He will be back in some venue. No doubt in my mind. -
Here is the word for this week: fain \FEYN\, adverb: 1. Gladly; willingly. adjective: 1. Content; willing. 2. Archaic: Constrained; obliged. 3. Archaic: Desirous; eager. I saw Mark Antony offer him a crown; - yet 'twas not a crown neither, 'twas one of these coronets; - and, as I told you, he put it by once: but, for all that, to my thinking, he would fain have had it. -- William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar He would fain have ridden day and night, and grudged every halt for refreshment, so as almost to run the risk of making the men mutinous. -- Charlotte M. Yonge, A Chaplet of Pearls Fain has ancient roots in the Old English fæg, "happy."

I didn't know you had access to my bank accounts. Truth is the economy has devastated me and I need your help. I assure you that if you put in the 5M needed to open the bar I'll pay you back with all the money left over. After-all, we would need only 138,000 baht per month after rent and all expenses just to cover the money you put in. I am sure this is possible. If you have doubts, let me just say, I promise it will be a great success! I agree with everything you said Z909. Except the last statement. In Sunee, there is not much competition. There use to be and you are right, it made for better bars IMHO. I am saddened to know you are not going to open your own airline. I was looking forward to some cute Thai boys as stewards. Damn, I guess I'll have to settle for Singapore Airlines.

Shocking I tell you! Shocking! Keith Olbermann was MSNBC's most popular personality and single-handedly led its transformation to an outspoken, left-leaning cable news network in prime time. Despite that, he often seemed to be walking on a tightrope with his job. Friday night, it snapped. Olbermann returned from one last commercial break on "Countdown" to tell viewers it was his last broadcast, and read a James Thurber short story in a three-minute exit statement. Simultaneously, MSNBC e-mailed a statement that "MSNBC and Keith Olbermann have ended their contract." The network thanked him and said, "we wish him well in his future endeavors." Neither MSNBC President Phil Griffin, Olbermann nor his manager responded to requests to explain an exit so abrupt that Olbermann's face was still being featured on an MSNBC promotional ad 30 minutes after he had said goodbye. Olbermann was nearly fired in November, but instead was suspended two days without pay for violating an NBC News policy by donating to three political campaigns, including the congressional campaign of Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. He returned and apologized to his fans, but not the network. For the full story: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/nation/7392738.html

I thought that was clear to most reading this. Who are you trying to help? Who was confused?

I am not involved in Ocean 1 and I gain nothing from its success or failure. But, before this great venture is built, I'd love to see the infrastructure in Pattaya improved to handle such a massive building. Better yet, how about before 100 more View Talay buildings are built is it possible to see the ocean cleaner? or the roads improved?

LOL Mark7711. I was not referring to your bar. As you know, I rarely go in the bar. When I have gone in, I have been OK with the music. If not, I would have left. But, as to your assumption that I have the Pattaya Blues, you are mistaken. That is not something new to you. But, don't assume anything on me. I don't assume things on you. I didn't mention you or your bar so I don't know why you got your panties in a wad. On the same note, if you read over my posts on this and other sites, I have done nothing but compliment your bar and the way it is run. However, if you want some advice, I'm happy to share with you. There are several areas that could be improved. But, if you get this upset when I mention "a bar" I would hate to see your reaction if I said something negative about your bar. As far as opening a bar in Pattaya, I have ZERO desire to do that and if any friend of mine was going to do that, I'd advise against it. I have also written posts in the past critical of a restaurant. That doesn't mean that I want to open up one of those to show how it is done either. Tonight, I went to the movie and I enjoyed the show but I thought the script should have been a bit more detailed. You also won't see me jumping on the plane to go to Hollywood to produce or direct a movie. In other words, if I wanted to do something with a bar in Pattaya, I would do it but just because I am not opening a bar doesn't mean I don't have the right to my opinion. Like my mother always said, "opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one." So, feel free to take my opinion on loud music or dismiss it. I don't really care one way or the other. I'm just another asshole trying to tell someone how to run their business (or that is what you may think.) But, I really do want Pattaya to be a better destination for gays. I want Sunee to shine in that area. Don't get upset with a supporter of your bar and the area you do business because you get upset or paranoid that someone is talking about you or your bar. Pattaya is a fun city. Some bars are well run and others are run like crap (I used crap as not to offend you by using the word shit). Heaven forbid that the "f" word is used by anyone reading this thread or frequenting gogo bars in Pattaya. I am sure all of those that go to the bars are there for the "entertainment" only and never would use the "f" word in conversation or in any other way. Right? When bar owners decide not to listen to what customers want, it is then that they will see their business drop. My money is my fucking business and I'll spend it where I want to spend it. I'll also decide if I want to spend it in a place that has loud music or if I'll avoid the place like the plague. I am one of the people that don't mind wasting a shit load of money in a bar. But, I'll do it in a place that appreciates it and that is comfortable to sit and chat with someone. Like you, if it sounds like my panties are in a wad, I apologize. But, jumping on someone who has complimented you over and over and brought customers into your bar is a bit over the top for me. So, I'll just say thank you for your comments and I wish you and your bar great success. And, that I do truly mean. Yes, it would. Perhaps I will. Can I borrow 3 million baht to buy a 3 year lease and then another 2 million to renovate it? I promise I'll pay you back!

I was in a gogo bar that I spent at least 7k baht every month and when I walked in last night and the music was OK so I entered and bought a drink. I enjoyed the guys on stage for a bit. Then all of the sudden, the music started blaring so loud that one could not hear someone next to them. I politely asked the waiter to turn it down. No luck. I then asked the mamasan. No luck. I got my bill and left. I told the owner on the way out how loud it was and most falangs don't like it that loud. It seemed to go inside one ear and out the other. The attitude for most gogo bars is they don't give a fuck. It is high season and they are going to get customers and they won't cater to a group of 5 or 6 even if they are regulars year round. During low season, the begging to come in for just one drink will return. But, high season carries a certain "I'll do what ever the fuck I want" attitude. Why can no one with any business savvy open a gogo bar in Sunee Plaza and make it?

Who is watching this season of American Idol? I am. I like Jennifer Lopez on the show and the chemistry between the judges seems much better so far than in past seasons. I have not seen any fantastic talent jumping out at me but I hope that I will soon!
