The Bangkok Post is reporting that the Democrats and the small coalition parties will form a majority of 250 MP. Does this mean Thaskin is loosing his influence? Will this satisfy the PAD and the Army?

I tried to search but could not find the address given for Kevin Quill. Someone suggested that some may wish to send him a holiday card. Could someone post that address?

I have taken friends to this sea side seafood restaurant before and each time I do they think it is really great seafood for a good price. Preecha seafood is located right on the sea in Ban Ampure. To get there simply take Suhkumvit Road south (away from Bangkok) until you pass Ambassador City Hotel. At the very next light turn right and just follow the road. You will see it in the right. It is a large open air place. I really like their lobster in garlic sauce and crab fried rice.

One the other forums I have clicked "remember me" and when I go to those sites I am automatically logged in. Here I have to click log in but my username and password is saved. If I receive a PM though the assistant shows up without logging in.

I will be going there for the first times Dec.13 for just 2 days as I won a free room for 2 nights through leading hotels of the world. I was surprised at the cost of a flight to Koh Samui on Bangkok Air. This is the only airline that flies there from what I can find. Any information you find, please pass on to us. Hope you have a good time

Actually when I read te post I thought the number was low. I think most good hotels may have a ration of 2:1 as a minimum.

Who's the Next Prime Minister? - A Thai editorial video
PattayaMale replied to Gaybutton's topic in Gay Thailand
Thanks GB for putting a link to this video. I also read today that the ARMY was asking Newin who has 37 former PPP MP in his control as his group has opposed going back to Thaskin. I found it interesting to see that it is the Army tha was the ones exploring this. -
While in Bumrungrad Hospital last week 2 guys brought flowers to my room. Now what made this so special is that I live in Pattaya and had met one of them once at a birthday party for his cousin. The other I knew a little better as I had gone with him and his farang boyfriend to dinner a few times before the farang went back to the USA. How they knew I was there is still a mystery to me, and they weren't telling. But it sure made me happy! Forget the demonstrations and airport closures. The real joy of living in Thailand are the wonderful Thais and great expats that I have met

This would be the first "local Thai" with the name Andrew J Wood I believe. It reads to me like this is a NON Thai that has come to Thailand where wages and regulations for business ownership are much lower than in many western countries. I feel the appeal could have been much shorter. "Don't worry about changing Government for the benefit of all Thais' future, stop protesting, my hotel is loosing money". However many hotels were facing real problems before the protests I do feel sympathy for all that are financially having problems. In many countries people are loosing their homes and jobs. Even though there can be no doubt the action of taking over the airport has hastened problems for some. One of the local hotels in Pattaya which has a large gay following sent out emails to those that had booked rooms and almost all assured that they were still going to come for holiday this year. Those hotels catering to Western families will most likely have the biggest problem I feel

PM Ouster and Airports Cleared Won't End Crisis, Bangkok Post Says
PattayaMale replied to Gaybutton's topic in Gay Thailand
To me this is is a well written article but I think at some point Thailand has to move beyond the rhetoric and come to terms with corruption and nepotism which I believe is the main problem. One of the leaders of a disbanded party said that MPs' will have their wifes, children or relatives as proxies replace the disbanded MPs. Obviously these proxies may not be prepared to do the job. How do you change this? Many times these problems are settled by revolution or civil strife. What other path can be taken? -
I see from the above that you know Tom, also!

I would like to suggest that the pinned Topic about Latest Airport Info become unpinned since the information is out of date and some may wish to post opinions about the topic now. Possibly a new Latest News could takes its place since PAD has / will clear out Wednesday at 10am

(BangkokPost.com) - The People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) on Tuesday accepted the Airports of Thailand (AOT)’s demand to allow incoming flights to use Suvarnabhumi airport after the Constitution Court dissolved the People Power, Chart Thai and Matchimathipataya parties on charges of electoral fraud. The first incoming flight to the international airport is expected to be within 24 hours.

The Nation reports the agreement with PAD and AOT. Checks have started and flights out may resume tomorrow. From "The Nation" The People's Alliance for Democracy Tuesday agreed in principle to cooperate with the Airports of Thailand Plc to reopen services at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport but the PAD will not end its demonstration there. The agreement was announced at 3:30 pm by Somkiart Pongpaibool, a PAD leader and Vudhibhandhu Vichairatana, chairman of the AOT board of directors, following their meeting. Somkiart announced that the PAD would allow flights to resume at the Bangkok international airport after AOT technical officials check technical readiness of all systems. He said a joint committee between the PAD and AOT board would inspect assets in the airport and would open gateways for passengers to use the airports for arrival and departures. Somkiart said the PAD would allocate a zone for its demonstration to continue without affecting the passengers. Vudhibhandhu said the board would cooperate with the PAD to check the readiness of the systems and would try to resume services within 24 hours. He said the AOT board would try to make the systems of the airport ready in line with international standard. The Nation

Would you Recommend for your family to visit Thailand?
PattayaMale replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
I think Thailand has so much to offer to those not traveling for sex. There are many nice areas to visit. I find it very safe. Of course I would suggest they wait until the airports have been open a few weeks. -
I think this would make a wonderful picture for a Holiday card and would like to use it for my personal cards I send out. Are these pictures copyrighted if not for commercial use....anyone know?

I just went to both "The Nation" and "Bangkok Post" to see any breaking news after reading the print versions. I did not see this which was reported on Reuters. Cargo flights will resume from BKK as soon as cargo transporters want..... It seems information from outside sources rather than the 2 main English sources in Thailand are more quickly updated

I wish owners of bars had a better way to let people know about their special events. However, I have been told by the owner that he is having a one year anniversary party since he took ownership.

Thanks GB for answering my question. I enjoy that bar because it is lively (only been there twice)

Tonight around my Thai friend asked me to go out and look at the moon. It was beautiful and I was told the 2 small bright lights above it were not stars but planets (Jupiter and Venus)?????? I tried to take a picture but it did not come out well. Maybe someone with a better camera would post a picture

You may want to confirm since flights may go to Hua Hin and bused from there. Waiting for them to call you is doubtful I would think
