I just arrived in Bangkok yesterday. I went to check out your link and have found it is banned in Thailand. When I was here in August I was able to get into it. So looks like we have a little censorship going on.

I'll try to find out some info this weekend. I know the owner, so if he is in town, I should run into him. Right now I'm sitting in Cathay Pacifics Wing lounge in Hong Kong, waiting for my flight to Bangkok. I flew Miami-Dallas-Hong Kong today. Sometime it seems like this last 3 hour leg takes longer than the Transpacific flight.

I'm anxiously waiting for next Monday for my 4th trip this year.

I live in Ft.Lauderdale. This happens on a weekly basis. Haitians arrive almost as fast as Cubans. I live just a bit up the street from the beach and have seen a couple of boats arrive. People will usually jump out of the boats and swim the last several yards, because the federal law is, if they make it to dry land, they can stay. It's easier for the Coast Guard to catch and return them if they in their boats.

All Draker does is reprint newspaper articles all day long. He uses more space and wastes more of our time than any poster I have ever seen. Of course now he is going to play the victim game.

I stay at the Marriott and have never had anyone bat an eye. I've come in at 2am and have the security guard get the elevator for us and say "goodnight". I think hotels in Pattaya know what goes on.

Thanks for the great trip reports. I had a couple of chuckles at the Vietnam stories. My bf is Vietnamese from Hanoi, but living in Bangkok. You mention crossing streets. I'm not allowed to cross the street by myself, he has to be with me to navigate traffic. As far a condoms go, he always has them with him. He is always lecturing me that they must be used. Which of course, I have no problem with. He speaks very little English, his friends even less, but we communicate ok. When he texts me, they come thru in good English. I've found the both his friends and him, have great translator aps, and use them much more than Thai boys. Glad you enjoyed Halong Bay. We are headed there in March for a few days.

Bangkok is done. I'm sitting in my hotel room in Hong Kong overlooking the harbor on a beautiful clear night. Actually the weather is hotter than Bangkok. I'm in the Cathay Pacific airport in Bangkok waiting for my flight to Hong Kong and then home. So a little Asia flavor is a nice send off.

I have a bit of a connection with a couple of the clubs on Soi Twilight. A lot of the boys know me or of me and who my friends are. One of my friends needed to stop by a friends and asked if I wanted to go. River taxis are a lot of fun and on cost about .50 Again the weather has held off this weekend. From what I hear there is lots of rain north and east of Bangkok, but just not reaching the city with much more than an occasional quick shower. But with rain upriver, the currents are running pretty good and at times it was hold on time. You hear about the ferry accidents in SE Asia a lot, so I always sit in the open areas. The water taxis are a great way to see the Grand Palace, Wat Po, and the great riverside hotels. Saturday night it was back to Soi Twilight for an evening of people watching. Both Friday and Saturday were pretty busy. I had originally planned to bring a boy back, but after running around all day and eating late, I just quite wasn't in the mood . My friend told me the police came into Soi Twilight Friday night and closed everybody down at 2:30am. He was quite angry as he had a lot of customers, but they close at 3am anyway, so it wasn't that much of a big deal. But who knows, they could come tonight and close you at 1am. He said first time it ever happened. As the sunrises in the US, the sun is setting here, so it's off to dinner, and I think I will find something to bring back to the apartment for desert and nightcap.

When I first started coming to Thailand, I spent most of my time in Pattaya. Then when I met my bf, last year, I had no need to look for anything and we have just hung in Bangkok. This trip I'm on my own and have stayed in Bangkok because I have a lot of friends here. I could find what I want, if I put a little effort into it, but I sit and start talking with friends and end up stuck to a bar stool for the evening. Tonight I came in a bit earlier than past nights as the rain started around 10pm and I just didn't want to deal with it tonight. Tomorrow's Friday so we will see what developes.

Now that I've been here for a week, things are a little more routine. Around the corner for coffee in the morning, then back to the pool for a bit of book reading. Little afternoon nap. I'm usually in bed by 11pm at home, but it's been more like 3am here. Dinner around 6, then it's off to the bright lights of Bangkok nightlife. I was concerned about this trip being in the rainy season, but not really an issue. The last 2 nights, we got real soakers. For about 30 minutes between 8 and 10. Otherwise really nothing. But we had more rain the last 2 nights than California has had in 3 years. Feels strange going out for the evening wearing flip flops and walking in water up to your ankles. But has it positives as you get to see a lot of boys in there skin tight wet shirts. It amazes me to watch the street vendors in a matter of seconds erect the plastic tents and cover over their booths or stoves and tables. We are so spoiled that it rains, and we just stay in our houses or nice offices and try to figure how to get to the car, with out getting a drop of rain on ourselves. These people, don't miss a beat. They can't afford to. I love the people driving down the street on motorcycles using umbrellas. But they are very resourceful people. I've been having a bit of a problem finding my evening entertainment this week. There are a lot of hot boys around. But a real excess of straight boys. There really aren't any issues going on that should keep the tourist away, so hopefully when the rain ends in a month,they will start to come back. 5:30pm and the sun is still shining. Looks like no rain tonight. So time to head off to dinner and then see what kind of trouble I can get myself into.
