CROWDSOURCING: Best Massage Options for a Non-massage Customer
TMax replied to numazu's topic in Gay Thailand
For mine I would recommend The Prince massage, I have always got good service there with both massage and afters. You are correct about Adonis being no more, pity about that, I had the most brutal (and wonderful) screwing there, the boy was well hung and he really new how to use it and he liked to use it hard and deep (definitely wasn't recommended for novices). Keep an eye on the forum as there is talk that Hero may be reopening and in the old location, could be interesting if it comes true. -
Wouldn't have thought there was a need to stop it altogether but just limit the number of stalls, my only gripe with them was getting stuck behind tourists whilst they stopped and blocked any way of getting past them. Maybe allow a zone or path for people to walk down.
-
Well I for am hoping we het Hero back and if it's even half as good as before I would be happy

There's a Soi Chai Yot which runs off Soi 11 but you follow around to the right instead of the usual left and it's just around the bend, I suppose that could be it. Just looking at Google earth and what do I see at that soi Chai Yot but a sign for the old Albury mens club

Suriwong Road Walk - Soi Twilight - October 16, 2016
TMax replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
The one on the corner would be Baruza, or it used to be, I think The Smoking Pug is around the corner and across the street -
I'd be tipping a week of mourning

If the sex scene is less visible would you still come to Thailand?

Yes I would, I love Thailand and the people there and for me the sex is the side dish to the main -
Blue House Massage (Soi Daynight 2) is Reopen on August 07, 2015

Looking at their website I would say yes -
Shared from an email sent to another person, all contracts (bookings) to be honoured which is a good thing. Bit late but better late than never Just received an email from Tarntawan Place Hotel announcing a 'change of operator' from Moana to Value Hotels Co Ltd. It is also 'expected' that the name will change to The Tarntawan Hotel Surawong Bangkok. All contracts before Oct 1 remain the responsibility of Moana and after Oct 1 Value Hotels Co Ltd. All reservations beyond Oct 1 to be honoured.
-
Those that have booked should have received or will shortly receive an email from the hotel management explaining a bit about what is happening. Value Hotels are taking over the operation of the Tarntawan from Moana and the so called name change is to The Tarntawan Hotel Surawong Bangkok. I haven't seen anything on the number of staff that were given their marching orders nor why yet

If it goes bad I may have to look at something like the Raya Surawong, being close to the gay bars etc it could become quite popular for those looking for something above basic accommodation
-
Thanks partyboy, have a good trip
-
Cheers, be good to hear first hand what's happening

Just been reading elsewhere that staff cuts at Tarntawan have started, they are saying the doormen and the guards by the elevator were told they no longer had jobs. Bit sad really as some of those guys were good and always managed to have a nice chat with them, wonder how many more will go

Cheers paulfort

Cheers steve888, looks like they have old pictures on their site, much appreciate the feedback

His title in the emails I've received over the years says Director so he could well be either owner or part owner
-
Yes, Moana Hotels stop their management role on Sept 30th and there will also be a name change, I'm hoping Lukas stays on as he is good there
-
Would be cool if Lukas stayed on, he is good
-
Just wondering if anyone here has stayed at the The Heritage Silom Hotel on Soi Narathivas, just next to BTS Chong Nonsi? Been looking for an alternative just in case the new management at Tarntawan make too many changes, this one looks okay on the net, smallish rooms but looks like some pretty atractive rates compared with Tarntawan (looking on Agoda).
-
Just a note for those that stay there, the Tarntawan hotel is about to go through a change of management as Moana and the current management will stop on Sept 30th. Now it will be interesting to see if there will be any changes and if so just what they will be. Oh and in the immediate term if you are trying to make a booking beyond Sept 30 Lukas suggests going through a third party like Agoda, Expedia etc. Just until the new management have the new website up, along with the new name. Below is from the hotel and sent to a member of another board. Moana Hotels & Resorts will stop managing the Tarntawan Place 30 September 2016. The owning company will continue running the place under a new management and new name. Current reservations (with or without deposit) will be honoured.

Just received an email from Blue House and happy to say they will be back up and running again within a couple of weeks, just doing some renovations. "We have closed for some renovation and will open again in one or two weeks." -
I just received an email from them to confirm they are only closed for renovations and should be open again in a couple of weeks
