Yes, Moana Hotels stop their management role on Sept 30th and there will also be a name change, I'm hoping Lukas stays on as he is good there

Just wondering if anyone here has stayed at the The Heritage Silom Hotel on Soi Narathivas, just next to BTS Chong Nonsi? Been looking for an alternative just in case the new management at Tarntawan make too many changes, this one looks okay on the net, smallish rooms but looks like some pretty atractive rates compared with Tarntawan (looking on Agoda).

Just a note for those that stay there, the Tarntawan hotel is about to go through a change of management as Moana and the current management will stop on Sept 30th. Now it will be interesting to see if there will be any changes and if so just what they will be. Oh and in the immediate term if you are trying to make a booking beyond Sept 30 Lukas suggests going through a third party like Agoda, Expedia etc. Just until the new management have the new website up, along with the new name. Below is from the hotel and sent to a member of another board. Moana Hotels & Resorts will stop managing the Tarntawan Place 30 September 2016. The owning company will continue running the place under a new management and new name. Current reservations (with or without deposit) will be honoured.

Just received an email from Blue House and happy to say they will be back up and running again within a couple of weeks, just doing some renovations. "We have closed for some renovation and will open again in one or two weeks."

I quite like the look of the new hotel down by soi twilight "THE RAYA SURAWONG", price wise it may not be in most budgets but it looks quite nice and is well located.

I've seen some of their vegetarian meals come out that looked okay, not tried them yet though

I've been a bit quiet on here of late and have been relegated to just reading the fine posts put up by the members. Well in a way I am glad my next trip won't be for another 10 to 12 months, just recently underwent TURP surgery on the old prostate and after having a minor setback after surgery it's taking time to fully recover. They say no sex for 6 weeks and I thought more like 3 months and I reckon at least 3 months would be about right, especially for anal sex, at least everything should be alright by the next trip but I am really feeling disappointed that I won't be able to get to Thailand sooner. One thing is for certain, I now have plenty of time to plan (read dream, I only plan the main bits and take everything else as it comes) of my next trip and to check up on some of the places I would like to go and see.
