Haha, I beat you to it. I thought of that already and began using that "system" in the header since the start of this year. Plus I have added a twist. I write the time in a different language and deliberately mis-spell it, e.g "Depart Bkk di-sept vintg" or "Depart Bkk sipjet yee seep." This will work for a while until the Calendar catches on and again tries to do me favours.

Google Calendar allows you to specify the time zone of the time (value) you put into the time field. It just takes a few more steps; the feature was something I didn't realise until later. Whether that value adjusts properly for daylight-saving... is another matter.

Then I got smarter. And still Google Calendar tricked me. After the earlier incident I put departure time in the title of the Calendar event, e.g "depart Bkk 17:20". So even if my phone changes time zone, it won't change right? It didn't, but the newer version of Calendar has AI. Zuts alors. What I recently discovered was that it reads my event title and sees that I had put in a time in the title. It then populates the time field without even asking me. And once I move into another time zone, it adjusts the time field. But this time I could see a discrepancy between the time of departure I had entered in the title (unchanged) and the time of event Google figured should be the case (adjusted for time zone).

Twice, I was almost "tricked" by Google Calendar. I would enter my flight details in Google Calendar, including flight number, departure terminal and departure time. Years ago, I didn't fully realize that how Calendar worked and I simply entered the time of departure without noting the time zone. E.g. , for the return leg of Bangkok-paris-bangkok, I would enter 21:00h when the booked flight was scheduled to leave paris at 9pm. I was almost caught out. After as several weeks in France, I could not remember details of my return flight. No problem. That's why I had put details into Calendar. Except that, the day of my departure, it showed 15:00h. I cancelled my lunch appointment to rush to the airport but once there I realised it was still departing at 21:00. Google had converted my departure time from 21:00 Bkk to 15:00 Paris!

The only date mistake that cost me money, at least as far as I can remember, was a hotel booking I made for the day after my arrival. The mistake stemmed from sheer carelessness on my part. I was flying from HK to the US and I simply assumed, because there would be a period of darkness as the flight crossed the Pacific, that I would arrive on the following day. Wrong! I arrived on the same day which, with a bit of logical thinking, was what one should expect! So I had to book another hotel for one night. My own hotel was full.

Jakarta also has much more Islam. If a boy is seriously looking for this kind of work, he would either go to Bali or Kuala Lumpur.

This seems to be the pattern lately. Some bars lively and well-patronised; other bars dead. Sometimes, the bipolar contrast is the same bar on different nights. @sydneyboy1 reported a nearly-dead The One (ex-Tawan). On another night, I saw a full house. @jason1975 saw a lively Good Boy (ex-Screw Boy). On another night, I saw zero other customers in that bar and I should have fled like @ggobkk from Hotmale. A friend just came back from Bangkok and he said Moonlight had only "fewer customers than I had fingers" during showtime, though reports here are much more encouraging than that.

I must have missed something, but I don't seem to have a fix on where Aurora is located. From the pages shared in the opening post, I see mentioneof Ramindra (Ram Inthra), Hathairat (Minburi) and Sukhumvit, but no specific address. The first two areas are far outside our usual haunts. But does anyone know what their Sukhumvit address is?

Take the train to Phrom Phong. Jey Spa is in the area. From Nana station, Phrom Phong is just 2 stops out. Another option is Googuy. The do not have a physical shop. Instead, they have an arrangement with a short time motel in the Nana area. After you make a booking for a boy, the manager will book a short time room for you, and give you instructions where and how to meet the boy. The problem with Googuy is that they want payment transferred to them electronically in advance. I have not figured that part out.

@vinapu has given a good reply. A lot depends on what @Kiwi306 means by "beefier". All the time we see different tastes among members of this board, and different ways of understanding what looks like similar terms. I have found that even among my own friends, they have vastly different understandings of the word "beefier", and what I have learnt from observation is that it may depend on the speaker's own size. If the speaker is 70kg, then 80 - 85 kg is likely to look beefy (assuming it's not mostly fat). But if the speaker is himself 90 kg, then an 85 kg sex worker will fall short. The beefier ones in Tawan are in the 90 - 100 kg range. Very few of the "beefier" ones in the other bars would be more than 85 kg, and when they are, it's not as much muscle as the Tawan guys. Vinapu reported that their off fee is 1000 baht (I'll take his word for it since I have no personal experience). What's the tip they expect in the hotel room - 5000 baht? Moonlight has some good-looking boys in their rotation (what he calls "floor boys") but they are not quite the same standard as their Models. My estimate is that they are mostly in the 60 - 75 kg range. I can't link to examples since these guys are not on Moonlight's social media. ... just adding context to what Vinapu has said.

While I am not in Bangkok currently, I've been to Bangkok and Thailand in July more than a few times. The scorching heat of April and May would be past, but the humidity of the monsoon season would be ever-present. When it's also warm between rains (e.g. over 30 degrees), the humidity can be quite oppressive, but other times the temperature is quite nice and one doesn't notice the humidity so much. On days with warm humidity but no cooling rain, I'd plan for daytime hours in airconditioned comfort. Either I am in my hotel room catching up on work remotely or I'm in some shopping mall wandering around or reading a book in a coffee shop. From about 4pm onwards, it should be pleasant enough to make one's way to a massage place. Temperature-wise, I don't think you will find Bangkok much different from Tokyo, but in Bangkok, it would be a good idea to be dressed for wet roads and splashing from passing vehicles. I always have an umbrella with me and for footwear, I prefer crocs (though sandals would be just as good). As you can see from these screenshots of BBC Weather for the same day (this coming Tuesday) the temperatures in Tokyo and Bangkok are similar, but Bangkok is wetter. I've also added Atlanta for comparison. Of the 3 places, it is Atlanta that has the highest peak temperature. --- Right after Covid, I made a beeline for Thailand as soon as travel restrictions were lifted. That was in July 2022.
