May 31, 20188 yr Active Members I've posted reports on Berlin as have others. If you can't find them in Search, go through the list of threads under Europe. There are 4 or 5 busy rent bars along the same street within a block or two. Tabasco and Pinocchio have been there forever. Blue Boy is a block down and between is BoyToy (or ToyBoy?). All of these are extremely busy and usually crowded. Tabasco is packed. But they are 99% Romanian pick pockets and con artists. Sadly, historic Tabasco is the most dangerous. There is another one a half-block behind Tabasco the other direction that is nice and safe but few guys. BoyToy may have a "room", I'm not sure. I think rather there's a sex hotel above it. Berlin is very active online with hot German guys. In Germany the base price is usually just E70 and 100 is good. Half of Prague or Zurich or other places. There are also "sex hotels" in the area with hourly rates for a clean room. Berlin has the uber-trendy Labatory gay bar where anything goes. It's next to the uber-chic Berghain nightclub. In Germany it's normal to have nude nights, piss nights, etc etc at many many gay bars very often. Some are always nude. Some bars give out condoms, lube and rubber gloves at the door on entry. Never expect the ordinary in Germany. But in the rent bars, especially Tabasco, hide your wallet and phone carefully and put most money in your sock under your foot.

August 23, 20188 yr I recently visited Berlin again. The rent bars (Fuggerstrasse) The Toy Boy, Blue Boy, Pinnochio & Tabasco. When I visited, it was during the heatwave, so the place to be was on one of the tables outside Tabasco or Pinnochio, since hardly anyone was iniside the bars. The boys are now big Arab types, with facial hair and not of the slightest interest to me. I like cute slim bottom boys and didn't even waste my time in conversation with any of these. The Apps. Hunqz. I fixed up dates with Cambodian & Thai massage boys on 2 out of my 3 nights, which went well. Eur 70~75. I was rather tired on the other night. Did find some boys on apps who would discuss a meet, agree it then have deleted the profile by the time it comes around to that. Must be some very bored people out there. The Sauna. Well, it's only a few years ago that Berlin had at least 3 saunas, including Club Sauna Brazil which was stuffed full of Rent boys. That one rebranded twice and remains closed after a fire. The sight is available to rent, if anyone would like to step up to the plate. The only remaining sauna is Boiler. It's a large & fine sauna. The changing rooms alone are as big as some saunas I know. The entry fee is a slightly steep Eur21 and I was astonished to be charged an extra Eur 2.5 for the rent of footwear. The place was not at all busy for a Friday evening, although there were some exceptionally cute young Asian lads to look at. No sign of any "trade". I guess high prices and competition from the apps may be killing the saunas ?
August 31, 20188 yr I've always found Der Boiler to be one of the largest, cleanest, and busiest saunas I've been to. I think it's worth the relatively high entry fee. I'll report again after my next visit. To my knowledge it's never really been a "trade" sauna. Just non-professional guys looking for non-professional guys
September 2, 20188 yr Correct, Der Boiler is a regular sauna & has, as far as I know always been like this. Unlike Club Sauna Brazil which at one time had a pleasant mix of regular clients and trade. Boiler had some cute guys to admire, but obviously they are out of my league & guys who are in my age range are just so out of shape these days. The most astonishing thing is Berlin now has just the one sauna. London has at something in excess of 6, but admittedly standards in some of them are dismal.

For a large capital city in Summer, I was surprised that there were so few attractive young men. Only a couple of men could be considered physically splendid. Most young men were simply not in shape. Somehow I had thought that I'd see many guys with the same level of physical fitness and beauty as is usual in London, LA and Sydney.

That's probably why they are more mellow than the guys in London, LA, and Sydney. I found the same in Prague...mostly just average looking , very few fitness/muscular bodies and most young guys dont have attitudes.

I'm always amazed at how good-looking and physically-fit guys in Germany are. Fitness is a religion there. OTOH to me London is slim pickings for physically-fit guys. I hope everyone notices how 70-100 Euros is the standard rate in Germany. Half of the rest of Europe.

I agree with the comments on the hustler bars, basically a waste of time for me. I think I played with one of the guys in the bathroom at Blue Boy, but it's just not worth the effort. Lab on Thursday nights is a lot of fun every time I've been.
