Hey Olddaddy : good luck with your specialist appointment. Despite the cost the outcome hopefully will give a definitive diagnosis and treatment.

I am not a doctor but a few observations:

i) Has a connection with Covid being ruled out? An attack on the throat is a common system of Covid;

ii) I know u say you have taken anti biotics but in the event that the specialist appointment is inconclusive (or even if it is) maybe try  a combination of different anti biotics until you get  the problem cured;

iii) if they cannot diagnose the problem and fix it, then just fix it without knowing the cause....or is that unsatisfactory?

Yes I have had Covid twice in the last 8 months so I'm hoping it's a connection and not HPV,in the last month I have taken antibiotics doxycycline without success and now on Cilicaine VK...

I'm just hoping it's not HPV .

Thanks for the article. It mentions that the older group might not have yet been exposed to the nine strains of HPV that Gardasil protects against. So a reason to get it.. Also they are concerned about the need for the vaccine overseas. So they are thinking about cost and availability. 
So 45 is just a number they decided upon. They could have come up with the number 50, or 40. They don’t really know, which is why my doctor thought it was a good idea I get it. Especially since I’m a twink mongerer. 
 

But it’s up to us to be proactive and and admit such to our doctors, or we will be ignored and not provided a vaccine which could prevent many cancers.
