New bar coming to the Jomtien Complex (aka Supertown).

Today while walking through the complex I noticed that the construction workers had put up a "Coming Soon" sign on the former BC Bar - which is right next to the former Dorothy's Showbar and across the soi from the M2M cabaret bar.

The new name shall be:        BAVARIAN BOYS

anyone know anything ?  will it offer dancing ?

And I see that the Dorothy Showbar still has ongoing construction - already for many months - but they do not appear to be in any hurry to finish such work.  Rumor says that the M2M cabaret bar bought it.  Anyone know what it will be ?

When I was in Jomtien a year ago, the “M” was still under construction (but sometimes there were guys sitting in front of it. Now it seems to have become a full-fledged bar, conveniently located next to Zing, where I will be staying this February

but if you know something about a NEW dance place in the Complex - please tell us.

So to explain their location you walk past the Cocka2 bar (downhill)  and same side I think about 2 or 3 bars along AND then opposite side where a bit further down glass sliding doors just where Monty's was

Unfortunately I cannot help you as Monty's was before my time in Pattaya so I don't have any point of reference.

I did look for an old map of the Jomtien Complex but I could not find one.

Anyway, I rarely see dancing in the complex.  When there is dancing it tends to be spontaneous because:

There is a birthday party happening,

or some energetic farangs are bored with the lethargic bar modus operandi of, "farang sit - farang drink".

Rattling through my hazy memory from last Friday evening's session at CockA2, someone mentioned that Bavarian Boys is trying to be ready for Hogmanay, or New Year's Eve as the rest of the world calls it.

A very reliable source says that the former Dorothy's Showbar - which was purchased by the M2M cabaret bar - will reopen as a Mexican restaurant.  The hotel rooms above it will not be impacted and are currently operational and  available for rent.

I forgot to take an updated photo today - but they seemed to have removed the "Showbar" part of the name from the above marquee.  So, perhaps the Mexican restaurant will assume the name of Dorothys ? ( perhaps an apostrophe is missing in the former marquee ? )

I am happy to hear this - as there are very few Mexican restaurants in town.  Now we will have a gay one.

The balcony view reminds me of the one I had at Poseidons. So they are probably close to each other. Poseidon was very nice and surprisingly quiet. A bit upmarket though,  so I stay at Zing nowadays.

Yes I stay at Zing , although I did stay at the VENUE for a few nights 

Balcony overlooking the dancing boys , beautiful clean  room ,not noisy at all 😀 close to everything and friendly farang manager ,lovely man

Yes , I even resorted to calling reception guy once to help me to open lock

Word on the street, is Bavarian Boys will be a restaurant, German owner also owns the 4T bar opposite, so looks like the lederhosen dancing boys dream will remain, a dream. At least for now.

Do you know anything about the former Dolce Vita restaurant space that is currently being transformed into the 3rd cabaret space within the Jomtien Complex?

I heard that the name will be:

Candy (something)

It is rumored to be both a cabaret show bar + a space for dancing.

If this is true, then this is GREAT news for the Complex (dancing).

you may be on something  with your tax comment , on the plaza by my house there was shoe shop I never really see clients in. Yet it survived surprisingly long   and comments " this shop must be money washing machine " was very common in our district. An then they wound up overnight without usual closing sales and sign 'we are closing forever' . Just boom ! next morning empty space .

there are always new bars replacing gone ones in  Complex so I'd be an optimist.

Possibly the bar is Club Lounge once known as DoDo bar. The dancing is by the boys, not the patrons.

I usually try to omit those and now I know why.
