I was diagnosed with bladder cancer which had spread to my lungs in January. I managed one short trip to bkk in April before the chemo/immuno started. The good news was that the ct scan in August showed my lung tumours had reduced by 50%. After about 57 trips to Thailand in 16 years I miss it. Seize the day.

My own fault as I should just report dry facts, leaving reflections to myself but I like community service and tried to do my part. 
My long held dream, never realized ,  is to off somebody just for hand holding session. One of great things from last trip described above is that I  have three candidates , all share the same characteristic - I never offed them before this trip. 
And none of them in the morning was first to say ' can I go now?".
Am I planning next trip?  No
Am I thinking about next trip ? Yes
Will it happen in January 2027 as advertised 2 years ago ? Definitely not,  if airfares won't drop to more reasonable level.

I often ride a motorcycle at home (I’ve been doing it for over 40 years). I’ve ridden my enduro through Africa and the Middle East. I consider myself an experienced motorcyclist. But in Thailand, I only rent a bike on quiet islands. It would never occur to me to ride a bike in Bangkok or Pattaya. Maybe I’m just getting older (and/or wiser) 😉
