Some hotels are stricter than others...is Colombian law that everyone that enters a hotel room is registered, I learned this after arguing first hand with reception at the Hampton Inn Medellin....a Venezuelan that didn't have a Colombian ID, they wouldn't let enter. Upon arguing and researching this, they were correct.

I brought him to a sex motel, which was more lenient.
