Rather than comb thru the threads , I'm looking for current saunas in BKK

No, I couldn't be bothered 

I will let others tell me ,same as catching a bus ,I don't bother looking at timetables apps

,I ask people at the bus stop where the next bus is going 

Inquire at the bus stop about saunas, too. 🙂

I think though Saunas ,the cruising type are going out of fashion.

and so were Caracalla Baths in Rome  in imperial times.

Both gone now so it's better to look for new opportunities like Sauna Mania in soi Phipat

Or 39 Underground in Saphan Kwai. Mostly local crowd but farangs are welcome.

Old daddy, Babylon wasn't good....it was undeniably great. The hours that I spent there and I didn't even need to go to the bars. But that was many years ago.

I went to Krubb sauna in Phra Khanong at the weekend. It's an easy walk from the BTS, but if you don't use Google maps, it might be a bit of a mission to find it. It's about 5 stories high so lots of steps to negotiate. After 8pm, the dark room was a seething mass of bodies. All sorts of ethnicities, ages and body types.

The only thing that bothered me was the spa pool or onsen as it's called. After I had got in I noticed a lot of black specks floating around as well as a small feather and what looked like a pill. It needed a good clean. I should have pointed it out to the staff.

Doesn't  sound too bad! Bearing  in mind it was so busy there could have been a lot more floating  around!

Significant fall off in customers contributing factor but then a condo developer emerged with an offer he couldn't refuse.

Highly recommend Heaven Sauna for you. You won’t have to wait long before you find mature locals banging on your door.

The big ones (R3, Chakran, Krubb, Sauna Mania) are all great when they have thier speciall events on, like foam parties, group sessions and model shows with audience participation:) Ive had a great time at all of them, except Sauna Mania (haven't checked it out yet). Last time I went to R3 i lefr absolutley exhausted after a few hours!

I'll be back in Bangkok at the end of the year and keen to check out some of the new onsens that have sprung up the last few years.

The biggest problem is choosing which one to check out.

So how did you make out ?

I went to this Heavens today 2pm to 430pm

It was 5 minutes walk from my hotel 

It's in a office building,level 4 

Nice lady at reception she told me she is the part owner 27 years it has been there she said 

Anyway nice staff ,they have a good gym with all machines 

Big crowd,mixed with 2 old Aussie guys ,a indian guy and about 10 old Thai guys and 2 very obese young Chinese boys 

Never got lucky unfortunately the old Thai guys were treating it more as a weekly social club where they sat talking to each other and ignoring farang and that probably because we were all same age 

But it was enjoyable,200b well spent 

 

 

 

Im going back to Heaven Sauna today for second time 

The owners were friendly 

The funniest thing i saw was all the old Thai guys sit together in the outdoor cafe area for like 30 minutes talking then go to the dark room area ,stand there and wait and the SAME people who they had just been chatting to walk past and tap them and they go into action,almost like they never met the person when they been talking for the last 30 minutes 😳😂 

As I said not much action it was mostly old Thai guys who liked each other

,I did suck the nipples of a big chubby young Chinese boy though 

Back again today ,it's in a Gem building ,you must go to Phase A which is the right side to get the lifts
