I'm writing this already from Manila, having left BKK on Monday. My short stop there was of course less active due to my unexplained food poisoning. I might return for Chinese NY.

1 - What's with the weather? All my visits to Thailand were nov-feb; Sunday evening was the 1st time ever I used a jacket! David1710 sent me a link saying that temprature is at a 40 years low.

2 - Why doesn't discussion and activity include saunas? Is BKK an outlier, without any appealing gay saunas?

3 - I was disappointed by the apps. Opened grindr + 5 others; didn't see anyone of interest, and received only few messages. I was hoping to find the African guys mentioned here at times....

4 - Thread research and Raposa's tutoring taught me about the distinctions of various bars. Are there any character-less bars? Any bar about which can be said "if you've visited bar X, no reason to visit bar Y; same boys/atmosphere/something"? It would be nice to have a list of all the bars with their specialties....

1. didn't you hear about global warming? 

2. most likely  reason is that those frequenting saunas are less keen on putting together trip reports

3.cant advise as I only use Grindr and even this just to see who is there but it's bit surprising that you did not find anybody as usual melody of reports is that guys are overwhelmed with amount of calls and messages , Even most recent report today tell that poster opened Grind and bed a guy in less than 1/2 hr

4. Each bar has something of character other bars don't have , great show but unsmiling yet handsome guys at Jupiter, constant show at Banana, two sets of boys - models and floor boys at Moonlight, show by bar boys only at Hot Male, size of bar and crew at Dreamboys , muscle boys and possibility of risky show at Atlas, ok, perhpas The One (Tawan)  is just version of Atlas, for me also  Screwboys and Freshboys are similar  but still  there's more air in Fresh boys and cozy-squeezy atmosphere in Screwboys

I got a lot of good hits on Grindr.  Very attractive guys.

This is funny that you say this.

When the powers that be created the new SIDE category, we were free to come out of the closet and to stop falsely identifying as TOPs.

Consequently, the perceived number of TOPs available for the static number of BOTTOMs decreased, thus creating more tension between us SIDEs and the BOTTOMs - as they often insist that we should TOP them.

I only look for 18 to 24 vers or bottom on Grindr,  so don't know about tops. Certainly, in my category, there is plenty of choice! Indeed, pretty keen.  I hope to recover from my hospital experience,  in time to dabble.
