Guido's attracts customers because of it's location in Soi 4 with it's potential for people watching.

Le Bouchon attracted customers despite it's original location in Patpong Two, as the food has always been excellent.

Therefore while Le Bouchon has thrived in it's new and much expanded location, that success is less likely to be replicated if Guido's make a move.

Guido just showed me picture of the cat as a tiny kitten, with mother, 9 years ago.

For what it's worth, he said he is staying in Soi 4, but opening a second restaurant in Jomtien, not in the complex!

Good news as after Alt Heidelberg on Bitch Road closed I can't find decent German fare in Pattaya although Berlin cafe tries quite OK

When I last spoke to him, he agreed that he needs to be there and wouldn't run 2 locations because it would be impossible... 

We'll see how long he keeps 2 open, if he opens the one in Pattaya.....you know I'll be ready with an "I told you so"

Yes, and his eyesight is quite poor, he brings the bill right up to his face! With such a hands on approach,  I can't see him opening in Pattaya.

Peter, I think that should read 'quite far from Patpong" rather than 'quite far into the original Babylon sauna'.
It is prominently on the corner of soi 1 with an outside dining area.  Last time I was there they were doing reasonably priced set lunches. There were no veggie options on the set menu but the waiter came with lots of suggestions (NO, not 'go elsewhere'🤣).

Yes. I should perhaps have added a comma after "quite far" to make it more clear. 

I have had the set lunch there and much enjoyed it. The restaurant is clearly popular and has been almost full whenever I have been there.

It is a couple of years since I was last there and the owner was talking of expanding into the floor above.
God knows what the reaction of waitresses would be to being told what used to go on up there.
