Members Popular Post Latbear4blk Posted 20 hours ago Members Popular Post Posted 20 hours ago Finally, the day arrived. Yesterday was the last day of schools in the network that employs me, and I had my retirement ceremony. My last day is July 3rd. My condo is in the market, as soon as it is sold and all the paperwork done, I am flying away. I will keep working part-time but only online. The first step is Buenos Aires. I think I will end my days over there, so I want to set my health insurance but not yet my base. Once my health is checked and covered, I will start slow traveling. My visits to Brazil and Colombia have been always no more Tham two weeks, and I want to get that feeling of coitus interruptus out of my system. I may start my travels with a couple of months in Brazil (Rio and Fortaleza or Salvador) and then Colombia (Medellin & Cartagena). Then I will return to Argentina to spend holidays with family and friends. After that, I do not know yet. I hope to meet some of you somewhere around the world, but my heart (and most of my time) will always be in South America. Travelingguy, FunFifties, vinapu and 4 others 7 Quote
floridarob Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I'll be going to BA for my first time, for a few days in Sept.... maybe we'll meet there or more likely in Brasil?? BTW, the headline had me thinking you were going in a different direction 😝 unicorn, kokopelli3 and PeterRS 3 Quote

Look, if my current timeline survives (everything depends on when I sell my condo), in September I should be somewhere in Brazil. I still have to decide whether I want to settle in Rio for a couple of months, or one month in Rio and one in Salvador or Recife. You will love Buenos Aires, but not Buenos Aires' prices. floridarob 1 Quote

Any Casa de Cambios is a good option if you have cash. Have cash. I do not know what the situation is with ATMs. Foreign Credit Cards are a good option. If for any reasons you have an Argentine credit card (I will not make assumptions about you never again), DO NOT USE IT in Argentina or anywhere else. floridarob 1 Quote
