June 22, 20251 yr I am thinking of visiting Thailand next month and staying less than 30 days in the country. After reading some information on the internet, I am more confused than ever concerning the VISA requirements and the total process. Do I need to apply for an electronic VISA on line before I depart the U.S. for Thailand or can I complete a VISA application form at the airport like I did many years ago? So, as a U.S. citizen visiting Thailand for less than 30 days, what do I need to do? THANKS.
June 22, 20251 yr US citizens get 60 days visa exempt normally, if it's just a holiday. So you need to do nothing. Only frequent or business travellers need to think about a visa. During the 3 days before arrival you need to complete an online arrival form, a DTAC. This is not a visa.
June 22, 20251 yr Also, don't dispose of your boarding pass - this needs to be presented along with your passport at immigration.
