Bangkok massage places: advice and recommendations

Off course there are many massage shops in Bangkok, and many threads on this forum are about them with so much reviews, pics taken from line from their staff, etc. BUT: because of the high amount of posts about it, it is a bit hard to get track of it. That's why I have this question:

I like my boys not to be too thin. I like a bit of muscles on the body, maybe even a 6pack. Also, I like to inspect goods before buying. I would never buy a couch online without having tried how it sits in a store. So I would be looking for massage place old style: where they have staff on site and maybe even do a line-up for you to choose your boy. A manager who can listen to what you are looking for and do good recommendations about which boy to book, instead of a mamasan who claims "all boys do everything".

I do not trust picking your guy from pictures en pre-book him, as many have said photoshop is often used or they post old pictures. How embarrassing would it be when arriving at massage shop and your pre-booked guy does not live up to your expectations based on his pictures? Did this ever happend to you and how did you deal with this?

About the massage place: I like it to be clean, not too old. Good (and again: clean) shower in the room. Maybe even a bath for some pre- or after-massage wet fun with the boy? Yeah; I might be looking for a bit of a luxurious place instead of a shabby massage room on the 6th floor of and old building. Also preferable in of near silom area, not having to take BTS or MTR to completely other side of Bangkok.

Am I asking too much? Because all of my doubts and wishes in all the years visiting Bangkok I rarely went to massage place but always took my guys from the host bars. But, maybe there is a hidden massage gem in Bangkok that would suit all me wishes, or at least some of them? LOL

Yes, I should have gone with my gut and backed out....I thought, how bad could it be, he had bad facial skin, but thought maybe all the hormones would make him good in sex....I was wrong, it only got worse, lol

it looks you need to visit Senso and Prince, Arena is much less shiny but all other ingredients - hunky boys to inspect and helpful mamasan are there too. 

Jey Spa may have some boys on duty too, all meeting your specifications ( which happens to be mine too )

Not sure that Senso will fulfil requirements. Earlier this year I was staying nearby, walking past it most days, but one visit was enough. My report below in response to someone who was looking for "seemingly straight guys".

It was a very disappointing visit. Both massage and afters were barely perfunctory and were based on minimum effort required. Like washing the dishes.

I won't be going back, although noting that it was 2 or 3pm when I went and when I left there was more choice available.

it did , both in shops and on apps although luckily for me out of three cases of pics not matching , two were actually other way around and guys in flesh looked even more attractive than on pics. 

on my last trip report I even described case when boy offed from Dreamboys turned out to be one I was following on Grindr but it took a while for me to realize that ( pictire from Grindr was not as much misleading but  made him looking much taller than in reality )

tastes and experiences vary so no recommendation ever be universal

I wouldnt discount vck, in soi ari, not that far from silom but definitely further away than your choice of senso, prince or arena.

Vinapu, I meant to ask why isnt there even one venue, offering guys with specifications of u and emiel (and me), within the close-by radius? Why r they all further away? Is it coincidential, or r there any reasons?

no idea, only explanation which comes to my mind is that we are too picky

or we're not the target audience and more locals hire, so be located where it's easier for locals to get to.... I'm sure rent plays a factor as well.
