First time Pattaya report

Last year was my first visit to thailand and I had a kit of fun so this year I decided to come a bit longer and do pattaya and bangkok. This report only focuses on pattaya. 
 

I was a bit unsure if I wanted to take a taxi so I decided to hire a driver from nams lady drivers. Which was the right decision. They were waiting for me when I arrived and had a comfortable car waiting for me. Drive was pleasant. I would highly recommend. I also booked them for my transfer to bangkok, which was another great experience, 

I booked the agate. I had a crystal pool room I believe, on the back side of the resort. Night time was very quiet no noise from the bars was heard. Staff were friendly. No issues with guests, able to come right up with me. 
 

first day I stopped at soda massage. I picked a boy who was sitting down and off we went. Soda massage has a shared shower room, cabins are smaller but adequate with dim lights. You can however hear everything in the cabin as next to you, as I heard a guy negotiating a price with the boy he had. I didn’t negotiate any extras in the beginning. Massage was mostly light strokes after flipping boy gave me price however I’m sure he knew what price was negotiated next door cause he didn’t try to quote higher. I accepted. Surprisingly  he was verse and we had a fun time showered in the room with another guy showering aswell. 
 

Back to my hotel for a quick nap to recover from my long flight. After I woke up I messaged a Thai guy on Grindr and had he come over for some fun. 
I then headed over to the best bar for the show, this is a cabaret show, mostly drag queens lip syncing. This is my one gripe in these bars. The queens lip sync based on the sounds from the music, they do not know the English lyrics. I feel it would be much better if they lip synced to Thai songs. I highly doubt it bothers anyone else but it’s a little thing I notice, show was ok, I wasn’t really impressed. 
 

next day I did some sight seeing and did some exploring, walked around the area I was staying, visited the gay beach and just get a general feel for the area. I booked the Tiffany Cabernet show for the evening. This show I truly enjoyed. The musical numbers were great. The outfits amazing, and the giant led screens that cover the entire back of the stage really immerse you into the performances. Was mostly a Chinese audience and everyone really enjoyed the show. I did end up taking pictures with a lot of the cast after its 100 baht per performer. The lip syncing was great here. 
 

In the evening I went to m2m bar for the cabaret show, this show is really well choreographed. The lead boy is really good looking, I have seen him in videos and got lucky as he had just returned to the show after a 3 month trip in France. I got there just before the show was about to start and it was empty, however after 5-10 minutes the bar filled out with people arriving for the show. 
 

after the show I went on Grindr and a boy messaged me who turns out was a Massage boy from a massage shop two doors down from agate. I decided to do massage at shop with him. We had a great time massage+ was 1200 all in. I had a great time however he kept pushing to massage in my room next time, still not sure why. 
 

Next I went to Koh larn, I booked a tour which included speedboat transfer, sea walking, snorkelling,  couple hours on the beach and lunch. All in was 1600 which I felt was quite fair, I’m sure if you looked around you could get cheaper. The sea walking was really fun and is something I would likely do again. 
 

after I got back I was tired and basically just slept the massage boy from the previous day messaged me again saying he wanted to see me again, I had a great time so I decided to:meet up:with him again for another good time. 
 

will continue in a bit, just have to move laundry to dryer.

Next day I went to Khao Kheow Open Zoo I joined a tour group which I was told was a Russian tour but English would be fine, it was not 😅. Tour guide spoke a little English however a few of the Russians on the tour did speak English, I used translation app to translate most of the tour info. Everyone was friendly enough. In the end the made everyone goto one of their shops to try and get people to buy overpriced items. The zoo was great. Got to see all the exhibits and everyone had a lot of fun. 

Throughout the day the massage boy from Grindr kept messaging me, getting really needy. The bad thing was Every time I walked out of my hotel I walked by him at this massage shop and just waved and kept walking. I decided to goto M Bar to see what it was all about. However shows they on were uninteresting to me and it seems like this bar is mostly just to get the boys to sit with you and have a little fun on the couches. One boy came over asked me where I was from then said “ok tip for me” was kind of off putting, I wasn’t really interested in any as they look a bit too young and twinky for me, so I paid my bill and left. 
 

I decided to head down to an actual gogo bar which was X-Boys. The show was fun they had their penis show where they used themselves to hit a golf ball into a hole which was fun. There was a live sex show, and a lot of dancing. It felt a bit more raunchier however the guys onstage seemed to be really into it and having a lot of fun. I didn’t enquire for off prices as I was a bit tired and wasn’t going to off anyone. I told mamasan I would be back another night. 
 

when I got back I walked past soda massage and decided to get a massage with another boy. Went through the same motions this time not was top only we still had fun and for same price, no need to negotiate. 
 

Friday I had lunch at buenos, had great food and a great margarita. I would definitely recommend if you are feeling like some Mexican food. 
Tonight I decided to goto the venue for the Friday night sexy show, they have a lot of drag performers/lady boys they also have their sexy show with boys in tight fitting underwear/nearly nothing coming around for tips. I tipped one boy and he directed my hands into his pants. I would recommend this show but it wasn’t as good as the m2m bar show. Was a lot of interaction with the audience and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. However the bar was only 1/2 full. 
 

after the show I checked Grindr and saw the massage boy messaging me again. I ignored. This time he told me how he has no room, needs money, etc etc. this time I decided to block him even tho I knew I would see him as I walked past. I likely would have seen him another time if he wasn’t so needy as I did enjoy having fun with him. 

 

I message a boy who was on the Twunkier side on Grindr he advertised as massage boy. His shop was directly next to the agate, room was on top floor and had shower within. 300 for massage and 1000 tip for everything. Was well worth it. He performed well and knew what was up from the beginning, I enjoyed the massage as he was a bit stronger and he didn’t skimp on the extras.

 

last day I decided to goto the colosseum show. I booked ticket with tour company for 1/2 the price everywhere else. Had great seats. I really did enjoy the show as did everyone else, the audience was mostly Chinese and they all came in groups by tour bus. The only thing I didn’t like was that some of the lady boys/queens  did not know the lyrics. However the visuals and the dance numbers made up for it. I would see both this and Tiffany again in the future. 

after the show I came back and rested for a while then I decided to goto candy boys show, I wanted to goto this earlier in the week however they are not open every day. The seating for this show is more intimate as it’s couches however they are closer together so performers cannot walk Through easily to collect tips. This show had a live singer! It was great to watch him sing. I enjoyed the acts the only thing is between each act they play the same melody which gets kind of annoying. The performers were great and interacted with everyone. They had one cute dancer that I would definitely off. Not sure if it’s possible, I am too shy to ask if it’s not upfront. I would go back to:this show again. 
 

after I decided to go back down to the gogo bars, I walked around however no shows were starting so i walked by a gogo bar called dreamboys however there is no show. The boys stand on stage.. that’s it.. felt kind of awkward. There was only one other person in the bar besides myself, one guy kept looking at me on stage and making it very obvious he wanted me to off him. I was interested in another guy too but he appeared bored and wasn’t looking. I decided to buy the guy making googly eyes at me a drink, we discussed fee. He asked 2500 I counted at 2000 which he accepted. He got dressed and left. I believe off fee here was 500. Caught a grab and headed back to hotel, he told me how it’s slower now, he use to dance as a gogo boy on walking street and make more per night, it’s what he likes to do but those bars have slowed down so he looked elsewhere. I forgot to mention when we stepped out of dreamsboys it’s directly across from xboys the mamasan was outside and she saw me and gave me the why you didn’t come back look. I was surprised she remembered I hid behind boy and she laughed. 
 

boy and I had fun, I decided to tip him the 2500 he originally asked for cause he was great.

 

i did a bit more shopping during the week, next time I think I would visit more gogo bars however I did like staying in Jomtien and I think I would again. I found nighboys club I didn’t go in because it was dead outside and kind of late. There are also a lot of boys around the bars in super town that appear to:be offable if you are braver than me to approach  .

 

that was it for me in pattaya. I had a blast, I am in bangkok now and having a lot of fun.

After so many years, that is still a mystery to me. I know some Thai songs and would be able to lip-sync them...not speaking a word of Thai.

Well, they have the best teacher there. M is an old-school mamasan...read pushy. That said, I do like M and always have fun drinking with her.

This might shed some light on a dispute on another board. When you say all-inn, do you mean the + stands for the service you got from the Dreamboy? Also, was that negotiated or asking price?

however based on reviews here and other forums nams was the best choice for me. I liked the service Would use again and I would recommend to anyone. Both pickups were on time drive was smooth and comfortable. I believe I chose a sedan L 

Soda was around 1500 baht all in. Massage + tip. 
 

all the posted showtimes are accurate they may start 5-10 minutes late while they wait for audience. Candy boys show was the longest at nearly 2 hours. 
 

I used pattaya city tour co Ltd for the colosseum show. Was 699 baht for gold seat. Tiffany was more expensive, different tour operator quoted me same price as Klook so I just booked with the tour operator. Was a vip diamond ticket for 2000 baht 

make sure you leave early cause pattaya traffic will make you late.

So relatable! In Pattaya, I often stay at the Agate Hotel. And if you log in to Grindr, Hornet, or another app, you quickly get several guys from the massage shops on the street chatting. If you give them even the slightest hint that you might be interested, they'll keep stalking you. "I just saw you walking past on the way to your hotel, should I stop by?" Eventually, I only "dared" to walk straight to the main road through the narrow passageway of the Agate Hotel, avoiding the massage shops so they wouldn't see me again or call out to me on the street...

that's one of reasons I recently fell in love with Zing Hotel ( NOT Zing Resort in Jomtien Complex), one half way between Pattaya and Jomtien complex.

I get confused with these two 

One is the one in Jomtien complex and the other the purple 🟣 colour one on the main road towards Pattaya much cheaper

As one who has stayed at the Capella on the river in Bangkok, I doubt if price matters much to you LOL

I’ve stayed at the Agate three times this year so can very much relate to emiel1981’s complaint about the massage boys and their calling out whilst you are walking past their nearby location. However I would not call this stalking rather just a nuisance and something you have to put up with whilst staying in a popular gay area and I wouldn’t base my choice of hotel on that basis. Having said that I admit to having used the passage to the main road when conducting a boy back to the Agate from a visit with him to the beach. I didn’t want a non-English call out perhaps relating to a massage I had had the previous day.

 I'm with Travellerdave; I enjoy being surrounded by cute guys. The fact that Agate is in a gay area is one of the reasons I  like it so much. I smile, perhaps wave and walk on.  No problem. Anyone uncomfortable can avoid them by the using the passageway next to the hotel.
