Besides the mafia influence itself, it is corrupted police who keep these places alive and can close them in an instant if they don't get their "tea money". Like V, I prefer to support the working boys instead.

So many of these massage shops have defunct websites that aren’t updated regularly. I wish there was a consolidated thread in the Bangkok forum listing all the most reliable contact info and Line accounts. On the Japan forum i found the list of providers in Tokyo to be very helpful.
