Popular Post kram987 Posted January 7 Popular Post Posted January 7 Having just had my longest visit yet, I found myself not ready to leave. Why? watching beach volleyball (thanks bkkmfj2648). walks along the beach. side trips. food things I didn’t get around to (like boys town) and last but definitely not least the guys! I had planned to off guys from the bars. I never got around to it because with the apps they came to me. So many guys close by. I by far had the best luck on Scruff. i loved everything about Zing Resort accepting the lack of truly hot water. The water probably bothered me only because the weather was so amazing. Food, Sophia’s is very good, this trip it was my first time eating there, and my second and…. Baht bus, due to mobility issues I figured it wasn’t possible, actually with low and easy steps, it was no problem for me. best tip: going to Koh Larn Final thought despite a few vacant shops the bars weren’t that full when I walked past (a couple I never saw customers at). mauRICE, Ruthrieston, ichigo and 9 others 11 1 Quote

Good breakfast/ Breakfast is 250 baht buffet which is good value if your a big eater Although I rarely eat breakfast 🥞 I did have the 99 baht big breaky at NICKYS in Soi Bukhao one fine morning Quote
Travellerdave Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Soi Buakhow ? I seldom go there, especially not with boys. It’s full of Brit/Aussie yobs getting drunk,on 40 baht beer, starting at 8am. No gayest bars at all. the Complex is the place to be for gays like me. ive also stayed a few times at the Agate. Their rooms are perhaps nicer than those at the Zing but I don’t get on with their breakfasts, which are too Thai dish orientated. vinapu and Olddaddy 1 1 Quote

Lol...you raise a great point I went to the Soi Bukhao area with my Filipino boyfriend many times over the last few trips with no problem. Of course you must be vigilant especially where drunken Aussie bogans are and yes I can say that being Aussie Lol 😂 I find the younger farangs more accepting of you I only recall one problem where a young farang girl ( English) with her farang boyfriend tried abusing us in Bangkok ,always seems to be younger farang girls who are angry I find vinapu and pong2 1 1 Quote
Travellerdave Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago We always have to remember that what we do is sometimes repulsive to many str. I’m sometimes not confortable in hotels with boys surrounded by str couples and families. I’ve had str men ask me about gay sexual practices - which I don’t,like and don’t describe in detail. Londoner Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I note Travellerdave's comments about the gay clientele at Zing. He recommended Agate to us about six years ago and we've been happy there ever since. I'm sure he's right; Agate's guests are more likely to be families than single gay men or couples like us, particularly in High Season. There was a higher proportion of gay customers when we started staying there. However, we're not bothered; we are left alone, indeed, we seldom come into contact with others even at breakfast where we eat earlier than most. We've never had any issues in any of the Thai hotels we've stayed in, from Krabi to Chiang Rai. Speaking of breakfast, Travellerdave is correct; Agate's breakfasts are predominantly Thai-based, which is why P likes them so much. He thinks the quality is high and he has exacting standards. As for me, I never want a cooked breakfast anywhere and so I'm not concerned.....and the coffee is good. We like sitting on our own near the waterfall just outside the restaurant. Our only companions tend to be the squirrels who nest above the waterfall. I wish I were there now! mauRICE, vinapu and pong2 3 Quote

Now we don't HAVE to remember this, that is their problem not ours. What you are describing is internalised homophobia. Although I appreciate it may be difficult to shrug that off if you were brought up with externalised homophobia. If you were straight and a straight stranger asked you if you ate your wife's pussy you would tell him to eff off and mind his own business. Anyone who asks that sort of question doesn't deserve a courteous answer. vinapu 1 Quote

I don't know what the fuss over breakfasts is anyway. A kiwi or banana with greek yogurt and a cup of black coffee is enough for me! 46 minutes ago, Londoner said: I wish I were there now! And we must remember that sometimes our boys may not feel comfortable being paraded as trophy boys by guys their grandfather age so it's good to maintain discretion. Quote
