I wish them very well and much success 🤞🤞🍀

I recall this shophouse was for lease for well over 12 months because of high rent 💰💱💲

I recall an older farang used to run it before he closed it , not sure if he was Australian but I guess he done his best 

So that tells me something, thus new bar  will have to be "different" 

I have my doubts though ,and it will just end up another bar with seats 🪑🪑🪑🪑

So hopefully it just won't be a usual bar and as one member says " farang sit .🧘‍♂️..farang drink 🍷"

Because if it's no different from others the only benefit will be going to  the Landlord 👨‍✈️

just a semi-related side note, i think i saw somewhere here forum members meet up. I am gonna be in Patt 21-25 May would be good to catch up with someone/people one night rather than be solo the whole time, does that happen?

Yes, it does. Forum numbers do meet up and some of the Pattaya residents would be happy to show you around if need be. They'll either contact you here or message you privately.

So. Anyone around? 🥹

Staying in jomtien for the first time. Feel so awkward walking past all the bars and you look at someone for 1 second and they want to drag you in and it’s never the one I’m attracted to. So I just end up walking through really fast and then feel weird to go back again. Anyway I’m gonna go get a drink at M Bar and see what happens

walk slow, smile at everybody and keep walking until you find somebody or place you like

Sawat, it's been my experience that saying "NO thank you" in an emphatic tone with a smile is enough to stop any 'hassler'.

Walking there with constant feelings of pressure and weirdness is missing the whole point )-:

I know exactly what you mean! I often feel the same way. It helps me when I just sit down somewhere, have a drink, and watch the hustle and bustle instead of running around like a headless chicken. What did you think of the M Bar?  Next time I’m in Jomtien, that’ll probably be my first stop because the guys there are totally my type. But thanks to the orange, the flight prices have become unaffordable 😞

We must have the same type. When I first went in many were trying get me to buy them a drink. I said yes to one I liked but another one I didn’t rly like also sat beside me being very friendly eventually asked me for a drink and I said yes to him too just cos he was being nice… but then I couldn’t get rid of him. Eventually I did after having to be very direct. Then I got a drink with a third and ended up going with him. Then the other two got angry at me… idk if I did something wrong lol. But anyway it was a good night. The show was really good imo too. Boy drinks are only 150 which is pretty good I think? Maybe standard for jomtien. That’s why I was ok to buy a few. All up spent 2500 for the entire package…. Much better than the 2000 I spent at Olivia massage in bkk while getting very little in return…

Are there any other bars in jomtien like M bar?

to avoid such unpleasantries and accompanying loss of face for the boy I have habit of either buying drinks for a few boys but not offing anyone  from that bar that night or offering drink to one and either taking him home or changing hunting ground emptyhanded. That way possible upset is mitigated

It is a little intimidating the first couple of times you walk through.  As @vinapu put it, walk slowly, smile at everyone, enjoy the scenery, and if you see something you like...go for it.

Annoying is the better word, because it's always the guys you're least interested in pulling and grabbing at you.....😕

Sawat talks of Some of the difficulties and awkwardness he experienced  in the gay bars of the Jomtien Complex. These would be different in a visit to a “traditional gogo” where the boys  dancing are somewhat separate from the audience and and wear very little, making it easier to appraise them for an off. When I first visited Pattaya gogos were the main source of boys for my bed but unfortunately they do not exist in that format in the Complex.
