I can share my local Russian adventure here in Jomtien and my ability to find a Russian MB was via Hornet.

Within the Hornet grid of who is available near you - the foreigners tend to jump out because their photos reveal that they are not from Thailand and their profile information tends to be written in English. Within a Hornet profile there is a "Followers" tab and when you open this you can see who is following the person that you are interested in.  Another clue that they are Russian is that you will see many followers listed from various Russian cities and you will see Russian language in many of those in-country profiles.

A little off topic but there was a post on this forum some time ago about the Big Tool, a bar on Walking Street with Russian male gogo dancers. Apparently it catered for females but not a problem for gay males to attend.

When I was in Pattaya last year I went to check it out, but didn't feel like going inside by myself. I wonder if it is still there. If I had had someone to accompany me, I would have certainly ventured inside.

I’m interested to know if they were actually bisexual and indulging for their own pleasure, or MBs - but it also sounds as though they were employed in Pattaya and sufficiently funded to bring wives and families?

I have had the same belief as you, where about 90% of the "heterosexual" MBs that I have met in my life - use the excuse of being a MB and doing it for the betterment of his family (as in having additional income) as an excuse for hiding their bisexualness or gayness (no need to come out).  In other words, to "have his cake and eat it to..."

Thinking back for any encounters with Russians i go back to about 7 years before Covid anyway, when I used visit the Sansuck Sauna in Pattaya a couple of times a week, either alone or with a “boyfriend du jour”. Russians were often to be found there round the pool or in the whirlpool. Once while sharing the latter with a younger Russian that I recalled seeing in the Agate where I was staying.
