I will be arriving first week of August and staying a month

.my filipino boyfriend will also be coming 

Who else will be there in August?

I will be in Bangkok and Pattaya 

I will also go to Manila Philippines🇵🇭 for a few days so if any Filipino guys there 😘

I expect you to put applications in now if you want to meet up

I expect to be entertained 👯‍♂️🕺

You should be leaving for Thailand soon and I wanted to wish you a safe and happy trip. Bring your raincoat with you and wear sensible shoes. (August is still okay; September is the wettest month of the year.)

If any are visiting late August or September, my first visit is coming up and I'd love to have a Thai veteran to show me around.  Bangkok to start.  Visits to Chiang Mai and Koh Samui next... then returning to Bangkok again in early October for my last couple weeks.

Sounds like a pretty long trip . You will have fun for sure. Take only half of goodies but twice as much money.

If you need an iinspiration,  this morning airline made me to check weight of my hand  luggage. Thats all i carry. Total weight 7.1 kg.

Actually seizing that weight, option of me paying crossed my mind. But no, agent was lenient enough. If she weren't, I'd remove tablet or phone  from my luggage and carry that in my hand or pocket. It was VietThaiAir. 

I don't mind airlines sticking to their rules as long as they do it consistently. Way too often I see people carrying carry on clearly exceeding existing limits and packing with them overhead bins.

Speaking about the weather now is quite amazing. Yes, some rains but always lasting 1 hour or less, generally sunny  and hot but not more hot and humid  that at my hometown at this time of the year.

Yeah about 6 or 7 weeks total. Def the longest trip I've ever taken.  Asia I've always put off until I could spend that kind of time.  Too long to travel for just a week like I normally do.  Bangkok is up first so I've been pouring through these threads for the fun spots.  After reading I switched my Airbnb to one that's near bars/park.  Looking forward to it.  But definitely would love to tag along if any of you are in Bangkok, Koh Samui or Chiang Mai.  The whole process of how the money works is very foreign to me.  Never dealt with mamasans or 'offing" etc.  More used to the pay for a private dance or hiring an escort online.

I won't be there then but perhaps if you explained a bit more about who you are and where you are coming from, geographically and metaphorically, what activities and types you like might encourage someone to reach out to you.

(god I have picked up youthspeak now with everyone always "reaching out" rather than just getting in touch)

Don’t feel bad or old. If it were @PeterRS2, “reaching out” would probably be a little too modern. He’d more likely “send word by carrier pigeon, followed by a detailed six-page explanation of why everyone else is wrong.” 😝

Ha! American guy (you probably figured that out from the name) :) in his early 50s.  Usually into the college age guys from twinks to twunks.  Once they become gym rats, I'm usually not interested.  Based on what some of you have said about the massage places, I'm pretty vanilla.  I usually don't have sex w/ workers, but I like to fool around "soft" stuff I guess.  As best I can tell you walk into these places, the mamasan is your liaison between you and the performer you like?  You negotiate the price with them if you want to leave with one of them.  You have to pay a cover which includes drinks.  I've done a lot of reading in these threads but since many of you are familiar with everything, sometimes I have to read between the lines. Fortunately I've got a long stretch to visit, so I'm sure after a few nights I'll have the hang of it.  But yeah if anyone's going to be in Thailand in late August, September of the first half of October, slide into my DMs. (How's that for youthspeak?)

Not necessarily. I, for one, in both bars and massage venues try to steer to clear our of Mamasans, and prefer to deal with boys themselves. Last week I overheard mamasan telling customer that long time tip in that bar is 4000. While later when called boy for a drink, again motioning him myself to come over, quoted just 3000. 

Sometimes though mamasans can be useful if you need translation but DIY as much as you can.
