Could this year's Gay Pride in Taipei be controversial?

It is scheduled to take place on Saturday 31 October 2026 - Halloween.

On Saturday 3 October 2026 Taipei police raided 3 gay localities in the Ximending district:

What is interesting is that Taipei's elections will take place next month on Saturday 28 November 2026. Could this all be a maneuver to influence voter outcomes?

Are any of you going to Taipei for their Gay Pride this year?
