After years of lurking I finally can join in. I will write later about the last couple days in Bangkok in that section. I obviously still don't know how it all works. I was in M Bar and was the only customer and they were all the boys stage just kind of standing. I don't know if I was supposed to point or what. Good news, the culinary map of Jomtien Complex will be expanding further with the opening of Schatze (German for sweetheart) on the 1st of April serving Mediterranean style dishes as well Thai. Located on the Agate Hotel Soi, the restaurant will be sandwiched between the hotel and the Sutiyada massage shop. For those around the Complex, owners are Joe and Ziggy (chef). Renovations are already underway, plus there will be a couple of rooms above the establishment. Seating will be a combination of inside (AirCon) and outside, totalling 30 covers.

I suspect there are others who, like me, miss Thai food on our return home almost as much as we miss other activities. So time for a recommendation. My favourite is Ponn in T21. Here's why. There's another one where vinapu went on a wild goose chase looking for a performer last year - the name of the bar always escapes me. Hi all I'm a regular traveller to Jomtien and will be going again in May.......I usually stay in the lovely Agate hotel but I've seen a nice looking place called " THE DALE PATTAYA BOUTIQUE AND SPA", next door to Frasers and near the bus station. Something of a niche issue, perhaps, but there must be a number of posters who wear spectacles.
