I have said this many times before, that I don't like using the word "boys" to describe the guys in Thailand. Two things come to mind ,first I just finished watching a UK Facebook group of 2 guys and one big fat woman (Karen) catch a alleged old pedophile who thought he was talking to a 16yo boy but it was Karen apparently he was sending his cock pics to, not a real guy 🙄 So they turn up on his doorstep and film him and then belittle him, "so you like boys do you ,you disgusting old bastard" they said Now in reality he was not doing anything wrong up to the point of...sending his xrated pics I believe. Second incident this happened to me personally…

From Thai PBS World Hundreds of GrabFood and GrabMart riders staged a mass protest today (Thursday), against changes to delivery service rules, issued by their company which, they claim, have resulted in a reduction in their earnings. The riders gathered in front of the Central World shopping mall in Bangkok’s Ratchaprasong area this morning, before proceeding to their company offices on Phetchaburi Road. The riders say that the company has imposed a zoning system, which has forced them to operate within each zone instead of throughout Bangkok. They also complain that they are ordered to take two delivery orders at the same time, instead of one, which has r…

From Pattaya Mail By Barry Kenyon With the British Treasury looking to fill a financial black hole of up to 50 billion pounds, the UK general public has been warned to expect tax increases as part of an unwelcome pack of measures to be announced on November 17. But premier Rishi Sunak and chancellor Jeremy Hunt have not exempted expats from a bitter pill to swallow, whilst the Treasury has emphasized that absolutely everyone rich and poor will be expected to chip in. Brits with a status of “non-ordinarily resident” already are penalized because in most countries of residence, including Thailand, their so-called old age state pensions are frozen unless they …

Friends, after more than two years dodging the bug, I tested positive for COVID-19 last Monday. Fortunately, I had gotten the bivalent booster the weekend before, and the symptoms have been relatively mild. The worse was three days of a near unbearable pain (sore is not enough as a descriptor) in my throat. And an unexpected and quite welcomed side effect: I have lost my legendary and bottomless appetite. I did not lose any of my senses, just my appetite. I have lost 7 pounds, and a half slice of my favorite chocolate cake is still sitting in my fridge since yesterday! I do not recognize myself. If this lack of appetite is here to stay, this may be actually good new…

From Bangkok Post The young priest, always something of a misfit, chose an unconventional spot to start his preschool: a former pigsty near a slaughterhouse in one of Bangkok’s poorest neighbourhoods. For a fee of a penny or two a day, the Rev Joseph Maier took in children from the most destitute families, teaching them to spell their names in Thai and feeding them what was often their only meal of the day. He also lived nearby, his neighbours the castoffs in the capital: butchers, scavengers, street vendors, professional beggars, thieves and prostitutes. Wooden planks formed walkways over the muddy ground, which turned into polluted swamps during the rai…

If it was not such a disaster, it would be a farce! Boris Johnson who was an ardent remainer, sees an opportunity, turns 180 degrees and leads the campaign to get Britain out of the European Union. He knows his Conservative Party has never been fully wedded to the EU and sees an opportunity, His Brexit campaign wins - just! He manoeuvres his way to the Premiership and starts a Trrump-like litany of disasters. At least he achieves Brexit for which his government and civil servants were not prepared and has led not only to exporters having to fill in reams of paperwork, but to a whole host of other problems that could have been foreseen - but old Boris was not interested. I've been largely ignoring the news on Monkeypox, on the presumption that the press are more likely to over report every low risk disease for a few years now. However, the following article is worth reading (link below). Extracts: "Since the first was announced in the UK on 7 May – a person who arrived in London from Nigeria – the agency has confirmed 19 more cases, the majority among young men who have sex with men." "Hopkins told BBC One’s Sunday Morning show that community transmission in the UK was “largely centred in urban areas and we are predominantly seeing it in individuals who self-identify as gay or bisexual, or other men who have sex with me…

From CNN A US judge in Texas ruled on Friday that people killed in two Boeing (BA) 737 MAX crashes are legally considered “crime victims,” a designation that will determine what remedies should be imposed. In December, some crash victims’ relatives said the US Justice Department violated their legal rights when it struck a January 2021 deferred prosecution agreement with the planemaker over two crashes that killed 346 people. The families argued the government “lied and violated their rights through a secret process” and asked US District Judge Reed O’Connor to rescind Boeing’s immunity from criminal prosecution – which was part of the $2.5 billion agreement –…

There is no need to rehash the story of how the grandson of the Red Bull founder, Vorayth Yoovidya, mowed down and killed a policeman while driving his Ferrari at something like 170 kph along Sukhumvit at 5:00 in the morning in 2012 with drugs and alcohol found in his system. This murderer has used his family's billions to stay ahead of the law for ten years, even though Interpol has allegedly been involved (a fact I have disputed as his name has never appeared on any Interpol list of many thousands of wanted criminals) and he has been spotted at various locations, including here in Thailand. Coming from the 2nd wealthiest family in the country, clearly no one in the gove…

From the Thaiger Thailand is going to attempt to fix its methamphetamine crisiswith another formally-illegal drug, cannabis. In a recent study, meth addicts in Thailand were given CBD oil under their tongues to treat withdrawal symptoms, and the results were promising. Today, acting Director General of the Medical Department Dr Thongchai Kiratthihathayakhon said that methamphetamine is “Thailand’s biggest problem.” Meth-induced psychosis is often found to be at the root of the most violent crimes in Thailand, such as rape and murder, which plague the kingdom day in and day out. Methamphetamine is a synthetic drug made in a lab, making it the cheapest a…

Whether we be a top or a bottom, the prostate in gay men is hugely important to our sexual / social life. 14 years ago (when I was 59) I was diagnosed with prostate cancer ("PC"). Whenever we're told we have Cancer, we assume the worst; oftentimes, for good reason: the "end" is near!. My PC was diagnosed as consuming 12% of my prostate. Instead of "watchful waiting", I chose to have my prostate removed (it doesn't belong in me, get it out!). Anticipating the Urological Surgeon's caution that it was likely I'd lose some length and firmness/rigidity of my dick post-op (which turned out to be an accurate prediction), I postponed surgery for a month so that I cou…
