From news.com.au By Alex Carlton The odd small food cart, usually without customers. Street dogs snuffling in gutters, sometimes outnumbering people. The Koh Samui of 2022 is Thailand like you’ve never seen it before. The tiny island off the east coast of the mainland, around a 90-minute flight from Bangkok, has been hit hard by Covid shutdowns and border closures. In a normal year, Thailand welcomes around 40 million tourists, making up 11 per cent of its GDP. The country is a big favourite with Australians, with around 800,000 of us visiting each year, pre-pandemic. And for islands like Koh Samui, usually buzzing with music, cheap a…

From CNN CNN)More adults in the US say they identify as LGBTQ than they did a decade ago, according to a new Gallup poll, a trend largely propelled by Gen Z adults. The percentage of adults who told Gallup they identify as LGBTQ has doubled since 2012, per the polling firm, from 3.5% of Americans then to 7.1% of Americans in 2021. The rise can be attributed to Gen Z, according to Gallup -- about 21% of adults born between 1997 and 2003 identify as LGBTQ. Meanwhile, 10.5% of millennials, the generation that includes adults born between 1981 and 1996, identify as LGBTQ, per the poll, and the percentages dwindle among the preceding generations. …

In NYC, many of us are celebrating Palin's double loss. Not only did the jury in her trial against The New York Times abandon her, but before the jury verdict came in, the judge ruled against her. I have no idea who bankrolled this effort, but I'm sure it wasn't Palin. Cameras rolling is all she cares about. Since she flagrantly ignored city mask/vaccine rules regarding restaurants, many of us are very happy to see this selfish bitch leave. From Coconuts Bangkok Less than a year after successfully opening near Victory Monument, Bangkok’s first and only Polish bakery has been relocated a few kilometers further downtown. After leaving its former location inside the 515 Victory Mall, Holy Donut Paczkarnia’s new shop on Soi Chula 5 in the Samyan area will host a grand opening party on Feb. 24, which is the Christian feast of Fat Thursday, or Tlusty Czwartek in Poland, when people overindulge in food and booze before giving things up for Lent. The 10am-11am opening event next Thursday will be attended by Waldemar Dubaniowski, Polish ambassador to Thailand. The shop is …

From Bangkok Post All provinces have been ordered by the top Interior Ministry official to step up measures to combat the Covid-19 spread in the wake of a continued surge of local cases around the country. Sutthipong Chucharoen, the permanent secretary for interior affairs, directed all provincial governors in an order on Sunday to raise their guard against the coronavirus. Officials at all levels — from villages up to provinces — must join forces to closely monitor the situation in their provinces, especially those bordering neighbouring countries, he said in the directive. They need to have contingency plans in case the virus explodes in their provinces. …

"Música folclórica argentina" predates Tango in the Argentine Music History's timeline. Unlike Tango, it represents the deep inner country and the most traditional cultural values. Although the folkloric movement embraced political progressive ideas, I had never heard of a switch on cultural values until recently. You will need to use a translator, but I recommend you to read this article. It provides a general outlook of several very interesting queer developments. I cannot picture what a non South American brain sees in these pictures. When I saw these pictures and read this article, I was not able to see beauty, but felt an intense curiosity. …

I know Whoopi Goldberg. I've worked with Whoopi Goldberg. I can't believe she said something SO STUPID on national television. It continues to demonstrate, no matter how smart you are, no matter how successful, a day may come, a moment may strike when you do something so utterly STUPID, say something incredibly damaging to your career, hurtful to your co-workers and friends, and cause a public relations fiasco that may prove extremely difficult to overcome. Whoopi Goldberg may be apologizing for a very long time, an apology tour, and it probably won't do her much good. It'll be interesting to see what cancel culture does with her. The goal of Nazi Germany in the 1940…

With the Winter Olympics getting closer and in the same time zone as Thailand (just one hour ahead) I am getting quite excited about several of the events. I love the ski jumping but it is the men's figure skating that completely grabs me. At the last winter games in Pyeongchang, it was not known if the Sochi 2014 Gold Medallist, the cute Japanese skater Yuzuru Hanyu, would be fit to take part. He had injured an ankle three months earlier and had pulled out of all competitions prior to the Olympics. He was not only fit enough to skate, he again won the Gold Medal. For the next Games, Hanyu may once again be unable to take part as he recently suffered another an…

From Thai Enquirer By Natcha Patanasophon Sex is a rarely discussed topic in Thailand, and it’s been like this for centuries. But conversations around sex education with a focus on gender identity and sexuality are finally starting to change. Chaitong Yingpeant, an adult content creator who prefers to use an anonymous name, told Thai Enquirer that the country suffers from a long history of distorted information about sex. It’s a problem rooted in conservative beliefs, he said, one where traditional opinion is that young Thais should avoid sensitive conversations about sex in their entirety. “Thai society now misunderstan…

Pol Lt Gen Amphon Buarabporn, commissioner of Provincial Police Region 8, said on Thursday that the robbery occurred in Khokkloi area of Phangnga province, not in neighbouring Phuket province as incorrectly reported in foreign media. According to media reports in Germany, Cathy Hummels, a German TV presenter and the wife of German International and Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels, was assaulted and robbed while walking on a beach at night in Phuket. Ms Humme…

If ever there was a year where the Olympics needed all the help it could get, THIS IS THE YEAR. But, no, NBC had to go and fuck things up, probably because of greed, probably because of ego. Was Leslie Jones really a threat to their $7.75 billion broadcasting rights? I sincerely doubt it. Why didn't they simply put her on payroll and support her efforts, which the athletes and the fans seem to enjoy? Now, after this completely unnecessary public brouhah, NBC is finally saying OK to Leslie. However, it's difficult to put an ugly cat back in the bag once the cat has destroyed the bag and the ugly is out there for all to see. It will be interesting to see if Leslie…

Breaking news: G.O.P. Declares Jan. 6 Attack ‘Legitimate Political Discourse’ The people who run this party have completely lost their minds. Fuck the U.S. Constitution. Fuck the rule of law. Fuck Democracy. We are so far from Benghazi, it's very difficult to see how we correct course without a major war. I doubt a Trump death is enough to fix this. We can only hope Covid takes out a few more red states. The crazies aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

The long, deep, surprisingly versatile history of bottoms: From Ancient Greece to modern misogyny The history of bottoming and the wider history of the patriarchy are one and the same, scholars told PinkNews. (PinkNews) The year 2022 started with a bang – a gangbang, to be exact. On 9 January, the Californian OnlyFans user known by the handle breedlacumhole checked into a Los Angeles hotel. Next to a no-frills white lamp and an oak side-table, he took 75 loads in 20 hours. The stunt stirred weeks of jokes and controversy throughout Gay Twitter – but to João Florêncio, …

From Bangkok Post Thailand has become an aged society and will become a "super-aged" society by 2031 when 28% of the population will be 60 or older. The country has witnessed a low birth rate for several decades, but it was not until last year that more deaths than births were recorded. In 2021, deaths outnumbered births at 563,650 versus 544,570. Experts are alarmed by the low birth rate and have suggested the government needs a policy to promote a higher fertility rate, but many people are unfussed. With unemployment among new graduates expected to rise in the Covid-battered economy, some say it is probably better off this way. "It's a good trend, isn't i…

I am getting old and my sex drive is not what it use to be. But, I still like sex live and in person. However, every time I watch Rome Flynn (photo attached) I have a wet dream that night. He has been in Raising Dion this season and I just almost orgasm when I see him each episode. But, at night the dreams are vivid and he is at the center. I shall not share what he is doing to me in those dreams but it is liquid ecstasy. Is this a normal sign of ageing? Signed, Seriously Lusting

From Reuters Streets in some of Myanmar's main cities were nearly deserted on Tuesday as opponents of military rule held "silent strikes", making the first anniversary of a coup that sparked deadly chaos and snuffed out tentative steps towards democracy. The United States, Britain and Canada imposed new sanctions on the military and joined other countries in calling for a global halt in arms sales to Myanmar, a year after Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi's elected government was overthrown. Since its bloody suppression of protests in the weeks following the coup, the military has faced armed resistance on multiple fronts in the countryside from grou…
