  1. Of course we need to take to task members who make up stories but on the other hand we always need new blood on the forum, so there is a fine line to be drawn and i think this happens most of the time. I very much enjoy reading the various posts which keep me in touch with the gay scene in Thailand. I have now made more than 200 , but i think i am still a relatively newbie, but i have yet to experience any unpleasant reaction.
  2. Since i started this thread which obviously has some resonance i should like to recall another accident in Pattaya i was involved in, which however did not involve any injury to myself, but which was a tricky situation. Im a keep fit enthusiast and whilst in Pattaya i join the Tony Gym on third road where most mornings i work out with weights, treadmill and swimming, following which i normally proceed to Dongtan Beach for a restful afternoon. Leaving Tonys i was wanting to cross Third Road to get a motor bike taxi but there was two lines of traffic waiting at the Third Road/ South Road junction traffic lights. Being impatient i threaded my way to the outer lane and in front of a large coach. I stepped onto the clear road beyond when WHAM i was hit by a motor bike taxi which was overtaking the coach. The bike plus driver plus passenger fell onto the road and slid for maybe 20 yards. The driver had hurt his leg for sure and the Thai lady passenger was screaming. By some miracle i was unhurt but shaken. I picked up the bike and parked it and helped the driver onto the footpath. I thought i was in trouble - Big trouble. The lady calmed down and she said it was a 50 50 accident. I asked her what should i do, because the driver definitely needed medical attention. She suggested i gave him some money and i quickly produced 2000 baht. He took it said "OK" and got into a baht bus which was empty and she told that he was off to the public hospital. The Thai lady stopped another motor bike taxi and went off without another word. I went to the nearest bar - Roo Bar I think, and drank a double whiskey. I was extremely relieved !!. I was told by experienced Farangs that i had escaped very lightly.
  3. Ive just read Firecat,s thread where he tells us that he has an injured ankle. Injuries like that can certainly clip ones wings and its disappointing when it happens on holiday. It happened to me a couple of years ago in Pattaya. I was in a gogo bar short time room with a cutie and had proceeded to the shower with him. Coming out i slipped on the floor tiles and fell heavily against a step from the shower room. It hurt. Next day it was really bad and i could hardly move without pain and my back had a huge bruise. I suspected i had broken a rib so went to the Bangkok Pattaya hospital. It turned out i had only badly bruised my ribs. The advice was only to take pain killers and wait It certainly spoilt the remaining week of my holiday and my activities with boys was severely restricted. The moral of my story is that you have to my careful. Thailand is not safety conscious. Broken pavements, crazy traffic, slippery tiles, etc etc.
  4. OK In terms of scenic value Dongtan is nowhere in the beach league tables but its certainly ahead of the main one at Pattaya. Those on Koh Larn used to be beautiful but now they are spoilt by over-development and packed with Russians. Its advertised as "Coral Island" but the coral has long since been wrecked. For a nice beach within striking distance I would recommend Koh Samet, but there is no gay scene there. Dongtan does have sand and it does have sea and I still like to go there, despite the absence of boys, to sit and enjoy the sea breezes, read my Kindle or the English newspaper i have down-loaded on my Ipad. I have even watched a couple of episodes of The Sopranos on it, which certainly kept my mind off sex. The Bamboo bar is a bit "hit and miss". I visited it three times during my recent trip. One visit my waiter did not sit with me. One visit I wasn't in the mood despite having my dick felt. The third time I was turned on by a fellow customer kissing and took my waiter back to the Samsuck where I was staying for some fun in my room.
  5. Thats very true williewillie !. In conversation friends tell me the i am constantly using the phrases "I remember" , "When I was", "A few years ago". I first visited Pattaya in 2005 in company with a gay friend. In fact we hadnt much idea about the place - we only went there on suggestion from a guy who we sat near on the plane. I thought it was wonderfull and i still believe that the scene was better then. In my memory the gay beach was crowded with cute boys wearing speedos like the one there <<<<<. You could have fun with them on the chairs and in the water, where the sea was flat and calm. Afterwards it would be back to the hotel. But maybe it wasnt like that always. Im forgetting the days when the beach was quiet and when it started to rain. When i got tired of being pestered by vendors and massage guys. Sometimes an unattractive boy would sit down uninvited and it was hard to get rid of him. I never plucked up courage to wear my thong. Pattaya is still perhaps the best place in the world for the gay sex tourist. Its not the same as a few years ago - its DIFFERENT.
  6. I like his blonde hair and some of his tattoos'. Also i quite like body piercings (i had nipple rings a few years ago). However he's a bit too hunky for my taste.
  7. Thinking of the Dongtan Gay Beach of a few years ago. That is populated mainly by older farangs and younger Thai rent boys, with few females or families. I ask was it unique in the world ?. I have been to gay beaches in Europe, principally at Maspalomas on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, although I've not been for a number of years now. But they were rather different to Dongtan. That is the clientele are rather younger, mostly go naked and looking to flirt or have sex amongst themselves (in the case of Maspalomas sometimes in the sand dunes when the cops were not about! ). There were few or no young rent boys to my recollection. If there is a another Dongtan Beach somewhere in the world i would be interested to hear about it.. Maybe in the Philippines ?. Probably the old Dongtan, before GR, was unique and unsustainable ?.
  8. Firecat i love your posts. You have got me checking my diary and the internet for flight prices. !. I especially like the final pic in number #64 of the boy laid on his stomach in the wet-look black briefs. Brown skin against the white sheet. However i prefer boys without facial hair particularly when kissing. Number #62 for example. Keep up the good work !.
  9. Yes mamasans can be useful and i sometimes tip them at a bar where i off a boy. I remember five years ago offing a cute boy from a Sunee gogo overnight. I didnt make any arrangement to see him again, but during the day i got the hots for him and that evening i went back to the gogo only to find him sat with another customer. I waited a while but there was no indication that the boy would be available. I called the mama over and explained the situation and gave her a good tip. She spoke to the customer, and myself and the boy were able to leave. He became my boyfriend du jour for three days until the end of my holiday. I returned to the gogo each evening to pay the off fee and chatted to the mama and to give further tips.
  10. Ive been in Toyboys quite a few times and have never seen the Screaming Chinese phenominum, however it strikes me as an unwelcome development - perhaps the "thin edge of the wedge". We regard Boystown, Sunee, and the Dongtan Gay Beach as "our" (ie older gay farangs) territory, and we are disturbed by such invasions.
  11. Gaybutton - the lack of boys has been the subject of several discussion threads on the board over the last couple of years. Its probably got a lot to do with Gayromeo. Using GR you can summon up a boy without the hassle of getting to Jomtien, buying drinks and flirting. Perhaps the concession owners could let the boys sit free and have one drink or even a meal free. The presence of attractive boys would undoubtedly boost the numbers of gay customers, particularly if the boys were encouraged to wear brief speedos.
  12. Im real sad reading these accounts of the present state of Dongtan Beach. The shade trees slashed down, the water full of jellyfish and trash. The umbrellas in a poor state, the fat lady at the toilet gone. And worst of all no cute boys to be seen just old fat females. How has it come to this ?. I remember the heyday of the Gay Beach. Warm inviting water, golden sand and sparkling sea, happy waiters at the concessions. Many vendors selling a galaxy of beautiful and useful objects. Ice cream and donuts. Dodgy DVD's, Seafood. No females or families. Just happy farangs surrounded by flocks of sexy Thai boys in tiny speedos. Oh if those days could return !.
  13. I suppose a small charge from the hotel for extra towels is in order when bringing back two boys to your room or needing another having used the ones provided earlier in the day. I always tip the chambermaids generously partly with this in mind. In fact when i stayed at the Ambiance they once anticipated this by providing three sets having seen me with one boy in the early afternoon and another in the evening, the day before.
  14. I have never done that i.e. Walked in a bar / gogo and offed a boy without buying a drink. Although i have walked in and quickly decided that the boys on offer do not meet my specification and exited.
  15. Kissing is also important to me and I try a choose boys who do this well. When taking a boy from a bar or gogo I always test him by a little tongue kissing to see how he responds. From GR its more difficult as asking questions by text is slow and over the telephone there can be misunderstandings, and of course few boys with answer in the negative. Sometimes i get the boy to join me on the beach and thereby am able to assess him as i do in a bar. Despite the precautions there is always the risk of a dud and disapointment.
  16. RUK69. Is there any reason why you dont stay at a gay hotel ?. There are as you probably know a number of them where gay guests are at least in the majority with a wide range of standards and prices. There are of course several upmarket hotels who levy a joiners fee equally for boys or ladies, but i have not heard of discrimination towards the former.
  17. Thats a great horny account of your encounter with Eric, Snowbird !. I wish it had happened to me. Im mostly a bottom now and a nine inch young cock is a dream. I used to go to Gran Canaria for holidays and there were a few African rent boys there, but ive not been for five years.
  18. Vinapu - yes youoften see 2 farangs chatting for a period with one Thai boy sitting there very bored. I suppose this comes into the category of Bad Manners. I think if you and I were talking in a mutual language which a third farang person could not understand yet was part of our social group, we would feel obliged to bring him into the conversation somehow. Another reason why i would not now have an overnight 3-some with two Thai boys is fear or at least being uneasy. I felt this once when I woke up and the two boys were asleep. Irrational thoughts went through my mind that they would harm and rob me. It took a long while for me to resume sleep !. Ive tried to learn a bit of Thai using books and Dvd's but I can only pick out a few words. Of course a lot of the boys talk in Laos.
  19. Regarding Bird ive just checked GR and found his last appearance was 7 September. This suggests he found a boyfriend about then. He also worked in Copa gogo. I first had him in bed acouple of days after i arrived in Pats so that would be about 15 August. Then two times towrds the end of the month. He complained about the lack of farang gays in town, but maybe he has hit it lucky now. Im sure firecat will find other birds that are still in the nest.
  20. Firecat - Dont forget Bird !. You and me both have had a good time with him.
  21. I go along with your conclusion Vinapu about one to one. Ive never had a six hands or for that matter a four hand massage. But i have on several occasions taken two boys into my bed overnight. For one reason or another things have not turned out so erotic as i had hoped. Like bkktourist said they were sometimes more interestedt in themselves and i supected thry were talking in Thai about me.
  22. I visited Blue House during August but was not aware they did soapies. Ive never had one but the idea certainly appeals. Ive seen the hetro places near Soi 2 in Pattaya and wonder why there aren't more for gays. Water improves the erotic experience for me and i remember fondly going in the sea with a boy at Dongtan rubbing up against him and feeling his erection and on another occasion swimming with a cutie in the small pool at Samsuck. Wow i must get back to Thailand soon !.
  23. My Ten Places - however Im not well travelled since discovering Thailand Highlands of Scotland - In Particular Glencoe. Done that hiking and climbing City of Paris Site seeing Yosemite California. Hiking beautiful Las Vegas. Awesome Architecture - very limited gambling Pyramids. Still to Do Bernese Oberland - Switzerland. Done That. Skiing Great Barrier Reef - australia. Still to Do More of Thailand than Pats and Bkk. Still to Do Niagara Falls. Done That. Awesome North Korea. Still to do - contrast to all the nice places above
  24. For me a hotel room safe is essential for safeguarding my passport, money, and ipad. Mind you have to remember to lock it. In January i slept all night in the Ambiance with a boy with the safe door wide open. I only noticed as i was preparing to leave the room in the morning and the boy had left earlier. Luckily there was nothing missing - inside was about 15000 baht plus several hundred pounds. He was from GR so tracing him would have been difficult.
  25. You know the old saying "Dont make plans in Pattaya". Just go with the flow. I was there for 3 weeks in August. Things did not go as I had envisaged but I enjoyed myself very much. Also you have to learn to pace yourself. Its like having an excellent meal. Dont try and gulp the food down too quickly - enjoy and savour every bite.
