I know people who were born in Manhattan and have never been on a subway train. I'm never sure what to say about that. In the early 80's, I had some hot sex in the subways. Now, with Covid, many are afraid to go near a train. Afraid of the virus and afraid of the rise in crime.
I've lived in NYC since my teen years, so my transportation experience is all over the map. I walk, I run. I once owned a Vespa. I take the subway when it rains. I rely on taxis when it's convenient. For many years, my account with Music Express played a major role. Plenty of reasons to hire a limousine here. And then I purchased a car. So many New Yorkers hate car owners, and I know what their wrath feels like.
No matter how you choose to get around, it's important to feel safe. We have a new mayoral election next year. We'll see where crime fits into the politics. Many assume Biden will be more sympathetic with funding. Given Trump's vindictiveness, he told NY to go fuck itself. Most of us are thrilled to see him gone.

That's one precaution that helps to make a tragedy more difficult, but given that this guy came from opposite sides of the track, a strong push can cause a lot of damage.
There is nothing quite like NYC's subway if you want to get around quickly, especially when the weather is not good. My son relies on it more than I do, and he says it's a better idea to position oneself behind a pillar as the train is about to enter a station. That way, your body can't be pushed straight ahead. Needless to say, I was relieved when he brought the idea to my attention. I will worry less about him.
It seems like a long time since we had pushing incidents onto the train tracks. I remember the issue from the early 80's. Whenever things get rough in NYC, the weak and disturbed among us grow deeper into despair.
Perhaps with a Biden administration there will be more attention to mental health issues.

Funny, you don’t realize how sexual some of the pics are on ALL these sites until you open them in public.
Then it quickly becomes VERY clear.

    Good points!
I think there's an art to accepting an apology too.  Even a one-shot less-than- prostate prostrate apology is a step in the right direction and I'd rather err on the side of accepting it than rejecting it.  I think that makes it more likely that other positive steps will be taken down the road, and maybe others will follow the example.
And there's nothing wrong with gay folks being perceived as forgiving instead of forever furious.
RockHard says it perfectly that both the Oscars and Hart missed a chance to clean up a pile and plant some flowers.
Just as long as they're not pansies.

I recall Hart apologizing about these several years ago. He must not have a proper PR person because after the apology was over then these should have all been deleted.
I think he just fails to get that once you've shown a racist/sexist/homophobic/whatever side in a big way, you don't get to just make one apology and call it over. You will have to do it repeatedly because it will keep being a thing for people who don't actually pay that much attention to you.
I can believe he changed. But doesn't mean he gets to pretend it never happened and that he doesn't have to keep addressing it.

Fair or not, few people care about either site no matter what they say. They go to each opportunistically, depending on availability and likelihood of delivering info or cameraderie or whatever they need at that moment. Oz seems like a genuinely good guy, but gratitude to him—or Deej/Daddy for that matter—doesn’t drive site traffic.

Your parents need to report the non-delivery to Amazon if they haven't already.  Somebody needs to get the delivery service involved.
I own a delivery business of our own products so we eat it if our delivery personnel delivers anything to anyone else other than the recipient.  If the delivery company says delivered to a neighbor they should have a signature of who signed for it.

For those of us who knew him,  most of these posts are not at all preventing HB from resting in peace.
Unfortunately, the article that was posted by RH was inappropriate because it contained many false statements.  Other than for that post, most of the posts are fond memories of the creator of a unique communication method for gays.
I can understand how new posters would not have the same feelings as those of us who knew HB.
New posters cannot relate to how many of us feel about HB's memory of being the pioneer of the first major gay chat room in the world.
Try to imagine the novelty of HB venturing out in a new internet world and creating a chat site for gays who could converse with one another about almost anything they wanted to discuss.
Of course, most of the discussions involved meeting escorts and/or hustlers, for want of a better word.  Many discussions involved travel locations for gays.
HB created a unique world that new people now take for granted.  Let us give credit to who deserves credit.
No, @Kippy - writing about HB with fond memories is not inappropriate and does not prevent him from resting in peace.
I feel that your post was well intended even though it was off base because you were not around when these sites were started.

iPhones have a step counter you can access using the built-in Health app. It's usually turned on by default but if not, here's how to turn it on and access it. You do not need to download any other apps.
