I'm a little biased toward men though. It wouldn't make any difference to me if I was considering hiring him. Is this a big deal? Am I missing something? LOL... he is definitely a better looking man than he is a woman. I have seen him many times as a man... and when with me, he's always a man... and a gorgeous first class one at that! BTW... the shooter drag queens at Unity are also much better looking men than they are women. It's the only part of the club I don't get. Why don't they have those guys go around serving shots shirtless and with little speedo briefs? I know I'd buy more shots that way too! I once knew the majority of boys working the scene in NYC. I cannot tell you the number of them that would dress up in drag for the fun of it. I remember one guy in particular who was a very well know escort. He was a tall, massive guy with a rock hard body. He was very masculine. He dressed up one or two nights a week to do shows in NYC and to perform. He had a good following but no one knew who he was outside of the dress. I remember once walking into a dark room in a disco and seeing this stud fucking some Chelsea muscle boy. The drag queen had a beautiful 9-inch piece and he knew how to use it. I also know many of the drag queens that travel the circuits. Many are tops. Not sure why I bring all this up other than to say that many in the gay world don't find someone that dresses in drag more odd than someone who hires escorts. It is more accepted among younger gays than anyone one this site would be. For me, it is irrelevant that any escort dresses in drag. I simply don't care one way or the other. However, walk with them to a dance club. All the hottie straight boys go clamoring for them. Thank goodness no one got a hold of my photo in drag. Sounds a lot like our Rock Hard. As for me, I certainly see nothing wrong if someone wants to do drag. But I wouldn't hire him as the feminine aspect would be a turn off for me. Then, the longer the time went, the more I realized how lucky I was that he went home with me every night. He had oodles of guys hitting on him. Yet, he was with me each night. I grew to love it as much as he did. They convinced me to dress up for my first time. I spend a day buying the right clothes and preparing. I walked across the first street in midtown and a group of hoodlums saw me and started talking. I heard one say hey you. I turned around and said, "yeah." They said, "can you take your picture with us." I said, "only if you give me a kiss." The kiss came the picture went and a I felt amazing. I had a great night and it was a lot of fun. I am not a woman. I am not a ladyboy. But, I had more sexy guys hit on me that night than any other night in my life. When in Thailand, I NEVER feel uncomfortable with a ladyboy. I was suprised to find out that several cute dancers I had know for some time in Montreal did drag on occasion. They dressed up on special occasions like festivals. It wasn't a sexual identity thing. It was more a challenge to see how well they could pass and to have fun and take on a role. For some it is like an acting gig and entertainment -- the same thing that inspires people to take on acting as a vocation. They get off getting into someone else's skin, imaginary characters or real. Not everyone wants to take on acting as a vocation. Lord knows the competition is stiff, the work slim, and the pay sucks for the majority. But some love to do it for free on occasion and in the right environment. So it was with the dancers. I have received numerous emails from people since this thread started asking me how I felt about it and asking if I was going to respond. This is because many of my regular clients know that I spend just as much time (if not more) on my drag career as I do on my escort career. I am not ashamed of this in any way, but have not felt it was something I needed to be open with around here until now. I feel that both drag and escorting are essential pieces of our gay history. And both have played great rolls in where our community lays today. I am so happy to have had the chance to be involved in both areas. I'm tired and need to go to bed now, but if anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to answer through email. Legal analysts say the Sept. 19 award by a jury in Broward County, Fla. — first reported Friday by the Daily Business Review — represents the largest such judgment over postings on an Internet blog or message board. Lyrissa Lidsky, a University of Florida law professor who specializes in free-speech issues, calls the award "astonishing." Lidsky says the case could represent a coming trend in court fights over online messages because the woman who won the damage award, Sue Scheff of Weston, Fla., pursued the case even though she knew the defendant, Carey Bock of Mandeville, La., has no hope of paying such an award. Bock, who had to leave her home for several months because of Hurricane Katrina, couldn't afford an attorney and didn't show up for the trial. "What's interesting about this case is that (Scheff) was so vested in being vindicated, she was willing to pay court costs," Lidsky says. "They knew before trial that the defendant couldn't pay, so what's the point in going to the jury?" Scheff says she wanted to make a point to those who unfairly criticize others on the Internet. "I'm sure (Bock) doesn't have $1 million, let alone $11 million, but the message is strong and clear," Scheff says. "People are using the Internet to destroy people they don't like, and you can't do that." The dispute between the two women arose after Bock asked Scheff for help in withdrawing Bock's twin sons from a boarding school in Costa Rica. Bock had disagreed with her ex-husband over how to deal with the boys' behavior problems. Against Bock's wishes, he had sent the boys to the boarding school. Scheff, who operates a referral service called Parents Universal Resource Experts, says she referred Bock to a consultant who helped Bock retrieve her sons. Afterward, Bock became critical of Scheff and posted negative messages about her on the Internet site Fornits.com, where parents with children in boarding schools for troubled teens confer with one another. In 2003, Scheff sued Bock for defamation. Bock hired a lawyer, but he left the case when she no longer could afford to pay him. When Katrina hit in August 2005, Bock's house was flooded and she moved temporarily to Texas before returning to Louisiana last June. Court papers that Scheff and her attorney David H. Pollack mailed to Bock were returned to Pollack's office in Miami. After Bock didn't offer a defense, a Broward Circuit Court judge found in favor of Scheff. A jury then heard Scheff's arguments about damages. Pollack did not seek a specific amount for the harm he says Scheff's business suffered. "Even with no opposing counsel and no defendant there, $11 million is a huge amount," says Pollack, adding that Scheff is considering whether to try to collect any money from Bock. "The jury determined this was a significant enough issue. It's not just somebody's feelings are hurt; it's somebody's reputation is ruined." Bock says that when she moved back to her repaired house over the summer, she knew the trial was approaching but did not know the date. She says she doesn't have the money to pay the judgment or hire a lawyer to appeal it. She adds that if the goal of Scheff's lawsuit was to stifle what Bock says online, it worked. Like you said it is part of our history, and would hope that if a client found out or were told an escort does drag he wouldn't be freaked out. My best friend does drag down in Vegas and if he didn't say anything about doing it no one would know. It's all about the illusion.
