View of a Sauna

Recommended Posts

For those readers who have never been to a Brazilian rentboy sauna, there are a couple of things they have in common 1)they all have a front desk as you enter and give you a key with a wrist band that has your locker number on it and to which all the items are charged, rooms, food, drinks and admission. 2)they all have a bar area. 3)They all have rooms to rent with "beds" in them, usually on a different floor. From that point they vary, most are renovated houses or buildings, most older. Some have attached bathrooms/showers to each of the bedrooms, some don't but have communal showers.

The attached pics are off of Mezziniu's facebook page and shows their bar area, with the glassed in showers that you can view from your chair in the bar. The difference in Mezziniu from the others is that it was built new from the ground up not a renovated older structure. It has a large bar/stage area, 2 video rooms, 15 private suites all with insuite bathrooms/showers, dry and wet saunas and a rooftop outdoor bar smoking area.

It is my favorite sauna hands down, and definitely has several guys in my Top Ten, including the cousins in the last pic!

"...however the 2 naked boys don't normally come in the rooms do they?"

OZ Yes they do! you just need to ask the Hotel to book the "HO's Special Weekend Getaway" :-)

Looking at the photo, Meio Mundo really is a pit. At one time, with the new addition, it was on the upswing. Not now. For those put off by the photo of the street, keep in my that the building on the left of the street is the headquarters for Souza Cruz, one of the largest insurance companies in Brasil. And at the corner on the right in the photo is the management headquarters for ElectroBras's nuclear division in Angra Dos Reais. So not as derelict of a neighborhood as the photo might suggest.

Ihpguy is right! the area is not derelict and I feel quite safe walking back to the metro/subway stop at night which is about 4 long blocks away. Surrounding MeoMundo are large office/bank buildings. Meo Mundo is a 3 story old building and the reason it hasnt' been razed and become a multistory downtown office building is because it is on the "historic registar" I was told and can not be torn down or significantly modified. I am not sure why as it is a ugly building and completely hidden by the large multistory buildings around it. The alley/street that is is on "Rua Teofilo Otani" is just one car width wide and is more like a alley but at night it filled with tables and chairs from a couple of the small restaurants there.

Here is another view showing the exterior of the building compared to it's neighbors. While the building is crap it has the most guys and many of my favorites. I was told Meo Mundo has a lease through 2015.

Thanks Tom

I just arrived in Sao Paolo yesterday, after a long flight from Barcelona. Quiet this morning because it is a public holiday.....posiibly for Carnival. It was easy to get to my hotel off Av, Paulista by the airport bus ,which was great value at R30. Thanks for the detailed info about the saunas . I am getting very excited about visiting the Lagoa and checking out the fare

Miller, have a great time! I have never been there during carnival but have been told that a lot of new guys show up to work at the sauna to make money to afford their time at carnival since many come from surrounding communities and stay the week(s) Anxious to hear back about the fun you are having!

It was easy to get to the Thermas Lagoa by metro.I went to Santa Cruz station and it is a short walk from there. The entrance fee was R 45 and I was given sandles and a locker. In the bar cum entertainment room I was approached by a very handsome twink and after a chat and drink we agreed on R80 down from R 100. He said we should rent the room for an hour which was R40. The sex was good and he asked for another R 20 to cum. What can one do? It was over in about 20minutes and he wanted to hurry away....that's business.

So I paid him R100 in total

The room. R40

Lube etc. R8

2 drinks. R14.50

Entrance. R45 .....they initially charged R60,on checking they said it was the rate for credit cards.

So all up it was very enjoyable but at R207 I won't be rushing back
