Using number (214)903-4154

Texted me back with my name and the name of an old employer, threatened to send them the conversation (in which nothing illegal was agreed to...) if I didn't send them money within 10 minutes.  

Am slightly interested in how they found the info based on just my number (caller ID just returns the number), simple google search doesn't seem to turn me up.

I think they can get it by paying for a reverse lookup service. It can get as far as your municipality, without any additional data provided, at no cost.

My name and address can be obtained online up here in Canada for free, for a listed residential number.

For example, it took a few seconds to locate you in a small community (2 words; 5 letters, 4 letters) in a southern state less than an hour from Gulf of Mexico ... I will not name it specifically, privacy, etc. Maybe I am incorrect.

Did you do the reverse number lookup?   This is something I have used in the past.  It may give more info than a Google Search.  So sorry this happened!
