DICK-stractions in Santo Domingo

Hey, hope all is well. Weve been about 3 times and I didnt think it was cruisy AT ALL. too much going on as far as people/vendors nagging you to buy things while on the beach. My husband hates it there. Very congested and you really cant relax. Weve never had any luck with guys there. Sit and eat at the pizza hut in the colonial zone around 6 p.m. Order your food inside and sit on the outside patio with your chair facing the strip so you can see the guys walking by. You're bound to make eye contact with and find a sexy guy to take back to your apartment. Good luck!!!! Have fun!!!

@OlderBlAmerican I’ve been going since 2012, and I’ve never found it cruisy either until I went this past March.  I went to the beach with a group of seasoned DR travelers, and I was shocked to see how easily the girls were pulling the guys!  And it’s not just at the beach, random police officers and military men all fell in line! I was amazed, to say the least. But I learned  it’s really about speaking a little Spanish and being willing to put yourself out there!  I’m finding that to be the truth with most guys in DR gay or straight.  For example I saw this one guy (presumably straight) who lived in SD on FB, I thought he was sexy and just sent him a message. It was something simple like “you are very handsome, thanks for the add” and the guy replied saying “let’s meet up!” Next thing I know I’m in Santo Domingo hooking up with this guy... I wrote all of that just to say if you aren’t scared to put yourself out there many many guys are available. 865372C9-48D5-432D-8151-E11AC79FDD3B.thumb.jpeg.29a948c5a4399ac064ca5adcf84f5c03.jpeg

At the risk of leaping to a flawed inference based on a small dataset, I am going to throw out a personal observation and recommendation here regarding procurers. As a pimp's 'newbie' customer I made the strategic error of responding with candour and balance to feedback request, assuming that the nuances of fitness of match and of client characteristics would be listened to.

I won't spoil the plot line by specifying the identity of any one particular broker.

However, anything less than a stellar review can compromise a provider's position, get back to the provider with a less than graceful approach by the procurer, and make things a little uncomfortable. That said, the broker's reactivity in front of me may be smoke and mirrors for my benefit as he pegs me a certain way, a dynamic I prefer over compromising a local CSW trying to make an honest peso for survival. Better to be vague and make an excuse for non- repeat.

Convoluted Reasoning & Anti-intellectual Pomposity? Yes, perhaps.

Usual blathering pomposity aside, your reasoning here seems ridiculous to me. If a provider doesn’t bring you something you like, tell him so and be specific. In most cases, he will try harder to bring someone who meets your needs (unless your needs are unreasonable). And if he cannot find what you like, find another service provider.

My first procurer in the DR was Freddy, more than a few years back. Nice enough guy for a first-time visitor on a short trip. His first few introductions were on point for me. However, after a while, for me, he ran out of steam. I soon determined that what he specializes in just ain’t my type. And that’s OK. He’d be great for plenty of others — he seems to be an endless source of young twinkle types. But after a few initial intros to great muscley guys, all he brought me were Twinkletoes, in spite of my direct requests. That was the end of our business dealings. No hard feelings.

Why so ridiculous?, #SowLessSoil with steaming piles of manure, s.v.p.

I am simply describing what said pimp telegraphed to me about threatening to give escorts a piece of his mind and dropping them, based on my input. I wondered if I was a guinea pig in some cases introduced to spanking new catalogue choices. Obviously, his business model is a poor fit and I would not continue to spin my wheels or the wheel with him.

If I am not mistaken, we generally share some reservations about choosing from ersatz ads comprised of photos and retailers' hard sell.

Moreover, do I want to be confronted in a dark alley by a dumped provider whose plans for earnings are thwarted because Sr Pimp relayed to him, in his language not mine, he was "for shit" on his date with me?

Surely this can be taken by most here as a well-intentioned caveat emptor

As usual, Rioblather, you’re overthinking the problem.

Relax, relate, release!

Excellent if misdirected advice, #SowLastSold with incessant squealing, and amazingly does not have wiki-sourced flavour.

Oh well, I tried. As my late grandmother always said, “advice is what people hear when they end up doing what they want to do, anyway”.

Enjoy continuing your life of misery.

Easily done without it, #SoLessOwl wisdom than Granny, since the #SoleAsshole source is one particular DICK-straction personified here, repeatedly flaccidizing and dismissable.

gif?
