Foreigners were simply not welcome at gay bars and saunas. There was one small gay bar for Westerners, but hardly any locals frequented it. Definitely the most racist country I have been to. AdamSmith Posted November 28, 2019 Share Posted November 28, 2019 Having been there several times on business, I found that individual Japanese once they accepted you as a friend were unfailingly loyal and genuinely kind, nonetheless the people as a whole are aloof, see themselves as superior to all others, etc. And are exceeded in this haughty pridefulness only by the Koreans. You can visit them at their shop and pay extra 1000-2000 of room charge. Or invite them to your place by paying transportation.
