The only gym I attend in Thailand is the Mike Sport World in Pattaya. When in Pats I'm normally to be found there from about 10 am. I train with the weights and on the treadmill and finish with a few lengths in the pool. A months membership is 4000 baht if I remember correctly. It's the best of the Pattaya gyms, most of which are rather basic. I like to relax on Dongtan gay beach in the afternoon.

For non money boy action the best Option I believe is gay saunas. I've only spent a limited amount of time in BKK, having spent a number of vacations in Pattaya. However I intend to visit Babylon during my next trip. I did go to the Samsuk Sauna in Pattaya a number of times during my February trip and very much enjoyed it. I always went into the dark maze and had encounters with T hais and farangs there.. I particularly enjoyed being topped with the cubicle door open and an audience.

When changing my UK pounds into baht I'm never asked for my passport or any other ID for that matter. In fact I seldom have it with me whilst out and about in Thailand - I only carry a photo- copy of the main page and the visa or visa waiver in my wallet. The passport stays in the hotel safe. I've occasionally given boys pounds as tips which have been readily accepted.

I'm with you on this one Vinapu. When I saw the title of this thread I thought it would deal with a useful subject like where to stay in Pattaya. Instead it seems to consist of some weird dispute about ownership, which is of zero concern to me and 99% of members of this board.

The Tarntawan Hotel is hard to beat in the Silom Road area and I've stayed there a couple of times. It's regarded as gay friendly and I saw that several guests had boys with them, as I usually had, in the mornings during breakfast. This which is very good and is available 24 hours. It's included in the room rate unless you order hot dishes which are charged. It's hard to find, being in a small Soi. My taxi driver couldn't find it on the first occasion and I had to get out and find it on foot having asked for directions. However this is an advantage in that it's quiet during the night. As mentioned previously there is no issues in the vast majority of Bangkok (and Pattaya) hotels with specifically male joiners, but some charge extra if you come back as a couple (str or gay), having registered alone. I always stay at hotels regarded as "gay friendly", as I dislike the stares you get when accompanied by boys considerably younger than myself and with them not following the dress code typical of upmarket hotels.

I've stayed at the Ambiance a few times over the last few years. Good mid-range gay hotel in the heart of the action. I sometimes get lost looking for my room - it's like a maze upstairs.

Whilst reading this thread ive been trying to recall a sexual excess experience to rival those described here. Willie - I agree very much with your post. I think it can be a daunting experience for a boy, perhaps recently arrived in Bkk or Pattaya, perhaps only 18 or 19, wanting to work in the gay sex industry. Its very hard to get an accurate impression of a gogo bar from the quick glance allowed by the door staff. They will usually allow you several seconds before they try to draw the curtain. There could be no boys on the stage or dancing podiums (as Eros) when you get your glance inside, that appeal to you, but maybe there's another group somewhere that you cannot see. I feel uneasy if i enter and am the only customer and i am relieved when more come in, unless they acquire a boy that i was appraising. I wouldn't enter, sit down and then not liking what i see, leave the bar without ordering a drink. So i suppose the minimum i would spend there would be 20 minutes.

During my recent trips I have spent a lot less time in Pattaya gogo bars than I did when I made my first visits seven or eight years ago. Then I stayed and circulated a lot in Sunee, where there was a greater number of bars than now, such as Euroboys and Kaos. I remember an amusing incident that happened to me seven years ago after my second visit to pattaya. I had offed a boy from the Kaos gogo in Sunee for three nights and in the morning of my departure day he said he would like to stsy in touch by email but did not have an account and didnt know how to get one. I took him to an internet cafe and created a hotmail account for him, showing him the password and telling him to change it later. After about a week i received a message telling me he missed me and hoped i would return to Thailand soon. Also requesting 7000 baht to prevent the family pickup truck being repo'd adding that a remittance via Western Union would be best. I didnt respond but a few days later another email arrived repeating the 7000 request and adding 3000 for his rent which was due. I knew he couldnt be short of money as he was rather hot and had been working at Kaos for a couple of months. I hacked his email account and found he had not changed the password and discovered he had sent the identical message to another guy in Australia !. His English was too good so the messages were probably composed by a professional story writer . I returned to Pattaya two months later and found him still at Kaos. I asked him about his scam, without mentioning the hacking. He told me that farangs were fair game and he was there to make money.
