Farangyai... Yes thats a common situation. You sit with a boy in a bar or gogo and buy him a drink. Hes attractive and you are intending to off one for the night. However its only 9pm and you dont want him with you for the next few hours as maybe you will see another even more hot and maybe something will occur to change your mind. You tell him "maybe" which suits you but not him. He later is disappointed and resentfull that you didn't turn up. Of course it can go the other way - you go back later and are disappointed that he has been offed or maybe he is sat with another customer who is fondling him, and you go back to the hotel to sleep alone.

Over the years I have had very few problems about tips and money. I put this down to usually paying at the top end of the going rate and also very often agreeing the figure beforehand. I remember however a difficult confrontation with a boy I offed from Kaos in Pattaya about seven years ago. It was my final night before going home and I wasn't intending to have a boy overnight but when I visited a gogo i saw a really gorgeous twink who agreed to go with me for 2000 LT. The sex was great with kissing, rimming, sucking and finally me topping him. He went in the shower and emerged seeing me preparing another condom for use in the morning (I dont like fumbling about in the dark doing this). He said What you do - I go - you pay me now. I pointed out that the agreement was for LT and offered him 1500. He came out with a load of abuse and was quite threatening. In the end I had to pay the 2000 and was a little shaken by the experience. I left Pattaya early next day even though i had an evening flight because I know its wise not to get Thais angry.

10 Lessons Learned by a Traveler to Gay Thailand
Travellerdave replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
The policy of hotels regarding boy guests varies. Some insist on retaining the ID card. One hotel even gave me a form to sign when I returned with a boy to stay overnight. Some check that everything is OK before giving the card back, although I normally accompany the boy to reception for this purpose. Some hotels are not bothered whether cards are handed in or not and others find holding the cards a nuisance. More places are using plastic cards to open the room door which are not handed in at reception but are retained by the guest. Sometimes particularly late at night or at small guesthouses you find nobody at reception or the guy is fast asleep. It can be reassuring when the card is properly checked that you havent acquired an under age boy. -
I stayed at the Malaysia about three years ago for a couple of nights. It was recommended to me as a budget gay friendly place and so it proved. I had a boy overnight once. However I havent stayed there since discovering the Tarntawan, which in my opinion is well worth the extra baht (800 about per night ?). 800 baht can vanish in the blink of an eye in bars and gogo's !.

Sorry guys did I give the impression that one has to finish jogging in the park at 6 pm when the National Anthem is played ?. Of course when the music stops you can get going again and probably you will go faster as a result of the short rest !.
-
I go jogging in Lumpini Park whilst in Bkk staying at tye Tarntawan Hotel. Loads of runners at dusk from 4.30pm, although you have to stop at 6.00 pm for the national anthem. About 2 miles round so 3 laps for me is a good run.

Sansuk Sauna & Guesthouse Pattaya, Thailand
Travellerdave replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Pattaya
Ive just noticed this short thread. Im on the verge of making a reservation for my forthcoming trip to Pattaya. I wonder if any members have stayed there in high season ?. I am slightly wary of staying there if its full of Russians (ive nothing particularly against them but they are not very friendly). I prefer to stay in gay hotels and the Sansuk is 100%. Hotels in Boystown and Sunee suffer from noise at night and I am sensitive to that. But I want to be reasonable close to those areas and dont stay in Jomtien. In September when I stayed at Sansuk it was quiet but easy to get to on a hired motor bike often bringing back boys. It was nice in the morning floricking in the pool with my overnight boyfriend. -
Happy Holidays to the Gay Thailand Community
Travellerdave replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Yes Happy Holiday to everyone on this excellent forum ! And best wishes as we approach 2015 -
Ive had 5 implants done over the last couple of years here in England. Total cost £9,500. Im very happy with them - hard to tell them from natural teeth. The cost is a lot lower in Poland but then you have the cost of multiple trips there plus hotels. Maybe i should have checked out having them done in Thailand.

10 Lessons Learned by a Traveler to Gay Thailand
Travellerdave replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Lesson 12 The Intercontinental Hotel would be way above my budget, which allows for hotels at about 2000 baht per night, like the Tantawan in Bangkok. How much do you pay ?. I never have a had a problem with taking boy prostitutes to my room in Thai hotels, regardless of there dress or appearance, but then I stay when possible in hotels favoured by gay guests. The reason being that I feel embarrassed and uncomfortable being seen with boys 18-25 at the reception desk, dining room, pool etc. I would not have that problem with older Thai men. On odd occasions when i have had two boys overnight my hotel has made an extra charge. Does this happen at top end places ?. -
Another great report Vinapu. I will miss them when you go home !. Sorry you didn't check out the Dongtan Gay Beach - its been a favourite of mine over the years. I often go in the Bamboo Bar after being on the beach, usually about 5 pm. Its in a rather strange location for a gay venue, most of which are in the Complex or adjacent to the beach and its virtually next door to the busy 7-11. It seems to vary day to day. Sometimes busy with farangs being entertained by the waiters and then next day being empty with a couple of bored boys at the entrance.
-
Vinapu Another great report - keep them coming ! In September, I used the Voctory Monument mini bus service to Pattaya. I did not realise the lack of luggage space and only bought one seat and I had my large bag with me. The bus was full so I had a very uncomfortable journey with a heavy weight on my knee. I went to Magnolia in September and experienced a rather brief first half of the massage. Im different from you as I only visit massage parlours for sex. At Magnolia I was happy as the boy topped me in a rather expert way which was exactly what I wanted. Its a long walk from Boystown - you had your daily exercise !. I like long time and good kissing is important. Before offing a boy I like to tongue kiss with him before committing. No doubt you will be visiting the Dongtan Gay Beach and I look forward to a report as this where I spend time, often with my boyfriend du jour. my next trip to Pats is coming up !.
-
Thanks Vinapu for these excellent reports of your activities in Bkk. I wonder if the desire to leave in the early morning is common with Bkk boys (I spend most time in Pats). I am sexually most active then and love to wake up with a warm brown twinky body next to me and with my cock erect. I would have not liked your boy keeping checking the time. I like to believe that the boy is enjoying being in my bed even though probably he is not.

Heading to BKK- 1st time in 3 years- A few questions
Travellerdave replied to floridarob's topic in Gay Thailand
The gay sex tourist seems to have done well over the last few years price wise. According to what I read on str forums the prices paid to girls has escalated considerably. Apparently long time with a gogo girl from Walking St is now a minimum of 3000 and the off fee is generally 1000. This seems like about twice what we pay. There is another factor influencing the economics of a trip to Thailand which is the exchange rate for baht. Not so long ago it was 70 to the Brit pound but now for my January holiday it looks like being 50, although it has been as low as 44. However when I'm in bed with a boy this does not occupy my mind a great deal !. -
Heading to BKK- 1st time in 3 years- A few questions
Travellerdave replied to floridarob's topic in Gay Thailand
I spend most of my trips in Pattaya which does not get affected by political trouble, although the curfews were a nuisance. Prices tend to be lower in Pattaya but there has been some inflation over the last few years. For long time I tend to pay 2000 and for short time 1200/1300 whereas 3 years ago I recall generally paying 1500 LT. Gayromeo is popular in Pats with the advantage of no off fee. Ive only occasionally been asked for more cash but my "boyfriends du jour" are very astute at bidding up there income by asking for small gifts like jeans. -
Ive used the DD Inn from time to time on the short time basis usually when i have picked up boys from the beach, and did not want to take them back to Pattaya. I recall the rooms were fine for my purpose. However in August I went there with a boy in the early afternoon and the place seemed to be closed. He didn't know of an alternative in Jomtien but we went to his room in one of the sois, which was extremely basic and not at all conducive to good sex. I would be interested to know if the DD is currently open for business. Maybe I caught it temporarily shut.

I suppose it depends what you have a right to expect when entering a gay massage shop. By definition you should receive a massage, but what have you the right to receive in addition in the form of sexual services ?. I always expect the masseur to be naked and mostly that happens, only the odd occasion when that was not the case. In August I selected a younger boy who started to massage dressed. I could tell he was inexperienced and a litlle nervous and later he told me it was his first day. I asked him to strip which he did down to his underpants, but after further urging he took those off. His massage was OK and I couldnt complain, but i realised that the sexual part would be limited. He allowed me to fondle him whilst he masterbated me, but no oral or anal occured. Did I have the right to expect more ?.
-
I select a centre aisle seat as there is the greatest chance of having an adjoining vacant seat next to me. I dont like to be too far back as there is more engine noise there and equally i dont want to be near the bulkheads as they put families with babies there who have a habit of screaming throughout the flight. I seldom get any sleep on a long haul flight and find the whole experience including airports unpleasant. BC is definitely less painfull but it costs approx 800 pounds more and I cannot justify this expenditure. Anyway after 14 hours in economy its a very great pleasure to stretch out between the cool sheets in a nice hotel in Thailand.

After oral sex I rinse my mouth with neat Listerine. I hope it does some good. I have yet to contract STI from sucking and rimming, but i have heard of other guys not being so lucky. I understand the risk of HIV from oral is tiny.
-
I have developed colds in the first few days of my trips, but the hot weather and sea air in Pattaya seems to shift them faster than at home in cold wet England. Whilst I've the cold i do try and be considerate and avoid kissing the boys, but i suppose i believe over them. Not had any cold related complaints though. Im always a bit nervous about sucking minus condom. Im not sure if mouthwash does any good. When i went to Magnolia Massage there was a supply of Listerine available and i always have a small bottle with me when i intend to have a massage or have sex in a ST room.

I like Tmax have recently booked my flight and am looking forward to my next trip. My usual plan is to have a restful first day (i will arrive in Pattaya around midday) and jet lag permitting, a nights sleep. Very sensible of course deferring the sexual action. However as usual in August the old adage "Dont make plans in Pattaya" kicked in. A short while after i arrived i succumbed to temptation and using GR i was in bed with a boy !.
-
Of course we need to take to task members who make up stories but on the other hand we always need new blood on the forum, so there is a fine line to be drawn and i think this happens most of the time. I very much enjoy reading the various posts which keep me in touch with the gay scene in Thailand. I have now made more than 200 , but i think i am still a relatively newbie, but i have yet to experience any unpleasant reaction.

Since i started this thread which obviously has some resonance i should like to recall another accident in Pattaya i was involved in, which however did not involve any injury to myself, but which was a tricky situation. Im a keep fit enthusiast and whilst in Pattaya i join the Tony Gym on third road where most mornings i work out with weights, treadmill and swimming, following which i normally proceed to Dongtan Beach for a restful afternoon. Leaving Tonys i was wanting to cross Third Road to get a motor bike taxi but there was two lines of traffic waiting at the Third Road/ South Road junction traffic lights. Being impatient i threaded my way to the outer lane and in front of a large coach. I stepped onto the clear road beyond when WHAM i was hit by a motor bike taxi which was overtaking the coach. The bike plus driver plus passenger fell onto the road and slid for maybe 20 yards. The driver had hurt his leg for sure and the Thai lady passenger was screaming. By some miracle i was unhurt but shaken. I picked up the bike and parked it and helped the driver onto the footpath. I thought i was in trouble - Big trouble. The lady calmed down and she said it was a 50 50 accident. I asked her what should i do, because the driver definitely needed medical attention. She suggested i gave him some money and i quickly produced 2000 baht. He took it said "OK" and got into a baht bus which was empty and she told that he was off to the public hospital. The Thai lady stopped another motor bike taxi and went off without another word. I went to the nearest bar - Roo Bar I think, and drank a double whiskey. I was extremely relieved !!. I was told by experienced Farangs that i had escaped very lightly.

Ive just read Firecat,s thread where he tells us that he has an injured ankle. Injuries like that can certainly clip ones wings and its disappointing when it happens on holiday. It happened to me a couple of years ago in Pattaya. I was in a gogo bar short time room with a cutie and had proceeded to the shower with him. Coming out i slipped on the floor tiles and fell heavily against a step from the shower room. It hurt. Next day it was really bad and i could hardly move without pain and my back had a huge bruise. I suspected i had broken a rib so went to the Bangkok Pattaya hospital. It turned out i had only badly bruised my ribs. The advice was only to take pain killers and wait It certainly spoilt the remaining week of my holiday and my activities with boys was severely restricted. The moral of my story is that you have to my careful. Thailand is not safety conscious. Broken pavements, crazy traffic, slippery tiles, etc etc.
