Suvarnabhumi's SAT-1 terminal to soft-launch Sept. 28

ME ! Not sure it will be al all possible to enter there if one doesn't have flight from new terminal but if will be I'd be happy to do the survey. We have similar concept here and outbound it's impossible to go there by mistake as they check boarding cards before bussing one in. Quite possible BKK will have similar concept so all this posibility of error may be academic. In meantime we are waiting for word from somebody who lands first in new Siem Reap airport. -
Nice gesture from Tao this figure (although not so according to what Department of A says above ) but at end of day as no-show I wouldn't be happy. In such cases I wouldn't be in rush to meet him again although I'm believer in giving second chances but not right away, no. Contrary to conventional wisdom I have rather good record with guys punctuality and learned if they are late there's overwhelming chance they don't show up at all or if they show they will be rushing things. Thank you for great report and glad to her your last off was memorable and trouble free.

for fun I checked some prioces in Silom in 2nd half of October and yes several places raised their prices quite a bit but by no means that is universal. Le Siam, Quarter Saladaeng or Raya seem to be holding up, Tarntawan , Baan silom and Furama silom went up a bit Gone are covid days when Crowne Plaza with breakfast over Christmas 2021 could be had for 60 $ and Quarter Silom without breakfast , just 20 $

we all look hot , you just need better glasses

so may fine establishments. I wonder if any of those fine breakfasts beats one at Foodland Patpong

looks that boys will be busy in January -
agreed, it's why on quite a few occasions right after I finished writing report I booked my next trip , even if several months away. That soothed nerves a bit.

I never did the bottle thing but few times was invited , along with boys by members who order one. Advantage is you and your party don't need to finish. Bar will put your name on the bottle and in day or few you can and continue. Disadvantage is that you may get drunk fast if not careful. I was told it's 3000 - 3500 baht , more if you order some imported treat. While it may sound a lot it may work well as it lasts longer, you save on boys drinks, usually they give you free chasers (coke , water etc. ) and on next visit you don't need to pay for drink to enter , you just tell them you have bottle opened and they let you and your party if any to enter free. As for tips I'd say the same like you invite boy and buy him a drink, depending of time they sat with you and how progressive you were with them (or they with you) 100-500 should be fair I guess. If you decide to off one of those boys I'd not be tipping him as he get his share in your room. Hope somebody with more experience will chip in with better advice ......... I agree with your statement as repeat business is better for both sides. Each one knows already what to expect and what is expected. Usually subsequent meets are much better than initial one but there are exceptions to watch. Some guys are getting too comfortable and lazy unfortunately. Others may tend to take an ownership of you when you visit their bar inviting themselves immediately and asking for drink. Way I try to keep them on shorter leash if sense that is I tell them I'll be offing them again tonight but will be sitting and drinking with somebody else - kind of what you did at Freshboys

I too wish that in USA they would pay better wages to their service providers so they don't relay on tips to that extend but now we need to go withy the program I guess. Never had anything drastic there but remember I was shocked in some place in Times Square NY when waiter mentioned that tip is not included in price before he even asked what we would like to order. Our party credited it to a fact that in that place must be many tourists who have no idea about tipping level and etiquette so waiter wanted to be proactive. In any place when I hear people complaining about tips I universally dispense advise that is easy to eat in the food court or take bus instead of taxi to avoid such tipping stress.

I made my life easy and adhere to simple system, 1hr, 1000 tip, 1.5 hr , 1500 tip. If minimum tip is lower than that I still pay according to my scale. If its higher then if I decide to go ahead , of course I pay whatever that tip is. If I like service , boy or both I like to force 200-500 extra on them , specially if I suspect I'd be looking for another visit. The same system in both BKK and Pattaya.

I do, specially that I know jason1975 and fun is guaranteed but can't find airfare within my price range, checking every day though and hope to pull the same stunt I did in May when I booked trip on Thursday and was sitting in the plane already on Sunday

Booking.com Failing To Pay Accommodation Providers

To add to the fun of rate hunting few things I noticed when booking for my recent July trip: when combing for listing of properties it pays to click what is really offered. Quarter SalaDaeng listed on Agoda their rates for my dates of about ' from 60 $ " per night. When I actually clicked to see offerings cheapest rate available was just above 50, quite a savings for 9 nights booked. Even if we are interested in certain type of room it's good to scroll up and down to see what is offered as sometimes it may be miniscule difference between say 20 sq m room and 45 sq m one but also big drop between 45 sq m and 40 sq m . ( you probably noticed what I'm looking for when considering accomodation - room size ). Also more expensive may offer free breakfast or one for token amount so at end of day it may make more sense to book that way. sometimes there's noticeable difference either way if our period includes weekend nights. and one which really surprised me, even the same booking site may show different price depending of what country you are or whether you are using website or app. Twice this year on different occasions our members from different countries sent me screenshoots of great rates they saw on Agoda for Raya and Furama Silom. When I almost immediately fired my comp and checked , what I saw was quite a different , say 10$ more on 50 $ offer. So bottom line is , it pays to shop and if one sees great rate, just grab it , pay and run as it may not last long. -
he will, rest assured

Booking.com Failing To Pay Accommodation Providers

few years ago I had such issue with Agoda. I opted for payment at hotel as it was , strangely, cheaper than paying through the site. When arrived at reception money in hand they told me that Agoda already paid. I was not happy but let it go, we talk about 10-15 $. Few days later I checked card statement, yes, charge was made but at "at hotel" cheaper rate so everything worked out well. As for issue in the thread I usually use Agoda and still I'm planning to but always make pint of checking if Agoda, booking, Expedia and hotel's own website offer similar prices. Agoda wins hands down being cheapest 7/10 if not better, -

problems with such solution lies in semantics. When we talk about tip in reality we are talking about fees for sex work services. This is easily understandable to all who set their foot in Thai bars and massages. For all others tip is voluntary gratuity for any services received and there's danger when mentioned it may be taken as such i.e. voluntary and smallish part of an original bill. It may be secret of those ridiculously low 300 baht tips mentioned by reader above although there's good chance some patrons may be just playing stupid knowing well what is supposed to be. There are many tipping cultures and that was discussed many times here so we know it is source of misunderstanding quite often. North Americans are tipping right, left and center because that is what they do at home . In some countries few spare coins will suffice and no hissing results if nothing will be left. And there are those where that is foreign and unknown concept. There are also variations - my sister lives in 2nd category listed so they leave token tip and when she visited me was surprised that we tip barbers or taxi drivers. I always joke " what you guys save on tips you spend on public toilets (paid there and at times quite a bit )
