  1. in Pattaya you may find some in BoyzBoyBoyz bar in Boyztown. In Bangkok don't forget about Moonlight and Jupiter, not just Tawan. No idea about other places you mentioned, others may say something but I'd say if you want pyramids , go to Egypt or Mexico, not Turkmenistan. You interested in churches, go to Europe, Ethiopia or Latin America , not Laos or Saudi Arabia. You like muscles , stay in Bangkok and forget about Hat Yai or Hua Hin.
  2. while your list is accurate and comprehensive readers need to be aware that you more or less resident there so your options are much wider than somebody on 1-4 weeks vacations. Simply you had enough time to spread the net. Having a limit is great idea as prevents overheating, specially if somebody is there for first time or after long absence or just a bit drunk.
  3. that's outright blasphemy and I'm not big fan of Jomtien Complex. Still with so many bars and massages chances you find somebody you like are overwhelming. Heed forky's advice above and just go and at least have a walk.
  4. that's while ago, to put things in perspective , that year soi Twilight was still in full swing, Hero and Babylon were crowns of gay entertainment, Good Boys were gracing Sunee Plaza and Madrid Tavern was still in Patpong 1
  5. I do play the same numbers from January 1990 without any hope of winning but some people do and I still keep on my desk photo of my clients who won big back in early 90-ties. Another client of my office before I joined there was part of group of restaurant employees who won really big but since it was split among 30 odd people her share was enough to buy a house but not enough to stop working. My third brush with rich and famous was client of grocery store I used to shop before they closed. manager showed me her and said " she is wife of guy who won big and was in yesterday's paper". My personal best since 1990 was equivalent of about 2000 Baht but it was in days when 1000 baht was good ST tip.
  6. I doubt I'd spend money on such unnecessary luxuries even if I won big. Perhaps for 1 night just to know how rich people flush toilets and brush their teeth. Most trips I spend 1-3 night in something I consider more luxurious and while I like experiences, difference in price is definitely NOT compensated by difference in quality. At least 3 more Bangkok hotels should be on that list : Le Siam, Furama Sathorn and Baan Silom
  7. I have 4 different guides to Thailand by different publishers , oldest from 2001, most recent from 2019 and none of them mentions the site . No winder we were in dark. On another hand pictures in google maps are showing site is taken care of. Probably we need to ask ChristianPFC to undertake one if his sightseeing trips there so we are informed before hordes arrive.
  8. Yes and no, problems started yesterday. Before on explore mode I could contact only 3 guys but could see profiles of everybody.
  9. it appears that it opens first 3 profiles visited normal way before starts asking for subscription. May be all that it's just software update glitch I hope.
  10. Sad to hear that. I enjoyed coffee and chorizos and friendly hallos !!1 when just passing by. Staff was cute and owners friendly ( also cute while ago I'm sure). It was great meeting place, too bad it did not work I wish you luck with future endeavours, hopefully somewhere close and soon.
  11. because you have subscription already
  12. yes, I noticed it yesterday, I can open profiles and see the main picture but can't go any further. And no, I'm not going to pay for any subscription , I rather pay for drink in the bar.
  13. yes, I figured out it's not my business to report where other members are staying. late firecat, long time member here used to advise " walk in like you own the place " . In bigger hotels with big lobbies it's actually easy , in smaller places sometimes you just squeeze by reception but they tend to care less about guests of their guests. With just 10-20 rooms that better be occupied every night.
  14. don't even try to be purist, after all all tipping is bribing. After all people are getting extra money for just doing their job.
  15. while I agree I wouldn't cross out those better ones. Certainly nobody ever reported any problems with visitors at Crowne Plaza and Amara and member who recently stay in Le Meridien told me all they had to say when marching guest in was " good evening sir"
  16. Paul , you deserve medal for community service. Finally we have 1st hand report from there. We need to wish them luck as obviously few things need ironing, boy selection and that drink issue although depending on size of glass can could be emptied there but you know better. At least I'm glad boys are in my preferred age range but yes , variety is spice of life and they need twinks, truth Tawan discovered post covid and it serves them well. Shirts are nice but lack of them is even nicer. It may be Chinese thing. The same BBB in Boyztown, everybody in shirts bar 2 or 3 . Boys told me there is up to them but do they really think being fully dressed helps them in this line of work?
  17. your taste in men is then questionable, LOL
  18. very productive day indeed , congratulation on not wasting precious vacation time. Even bigger congratulation on excellent trip report, high five from me on both accounts. While some members swear by apps I agree with you that monetary savings are not compensating from fun of chase in the real world be it bar, spa or just a street. But I guess it may depend on price one is willing to pay for his fun. Few people mentioned that Africans, being somewhat rarity are quoting higher than local trade. Not necessarily illogical but as your adventure proves market still works and yes , if we are too stingy we may lose the boy but if boy is too greedy he may lose his customer. Most likely Ghanaian decided that on this evening it's better to get still handsome 2500 than risk of getting nothing. Glad you are supporting what i always say loudly that Tawan is friendliest bar of them all. It's boys may not be everybody's taste , it goes with every bar but atmosphere is still friendly and engaging in more than one way. I also noticed than , at least Asian part of clientele is getting younger to extend that if bar was less friendly my white hair soon would feel out of place. As for tip for getting intimate , sadly some of customers forget their obligation and tip stingily or nothing. On one of may last visits there was farang sitting with boy for more than hour exploring contents of his briefs in quite a detail and after he left boy sitting with me told me he left his friend with nothing. On another hand If I intend to off boy I don't tip him for sitting with me, logic being he will get his tip soon. Indeed in Tawan if I came with intention of offing particular guy I don't even but him a drink preferring to entertain his bar friends and he is still content with knowledge his off tonight is secured. Guys complaining about lack of drinks, offs and tips are part and parcel of whole experience. We all heard it plenty. Then we come three month later and guy in question is showing his new motorcycle (not motorbike, mind you ) and quite shiny smartphone too. Truth is though, luck is not distributed evenly and they may go weeks or even months without an off. I tipped one Tawan guy I offed previously just for being there and boy I was sitting with told me he is glad I tipped his friend because he did not have an off for 2 months. as for anxiety related to guards don't forget what oils everything and 100 baht tip on day 1 or 2 does the trick. The same goes with cleaning ladies. As matter of policy I never leave those tips until departure, rather prefer to do it up front. Very smart of you for being careful not to overnight with apps generated guests as if something goes wrong we don't have recourse. Even taking unknown guy from bar for long time we should look deeply into his eyes although usually those novices generate other type of problem - promising long time to get an off and then trying very hard to get out on ' you cum, I go ' principle Waiting impatiently for day 3
  19. so 77% savings if they paid 30 mln
  20. actually, no. I'm using address https://twitter.com/Moonlight_Silom. When I go there without logging I see different things in different order than when I log in as prompted ( I log using gmail account) Without logging I can't see most recent posts which in fact is what I'm looking for. Just checked second ago to make sure I'm not BSing. The same on Edge or Chrome
  21. thanks for clarifying, I took ' users ' as everybody who logs there. Anyways no penny from me whatever he decides
  22. seems steep but when we calculate cost if they bought all seats on the aircraft, say 300 tickets at 2000 $ it would be 20 mln. baht one way. Sure , Prime minister could squeeze himself into last row of economy class for the said 2000 but then it would be scream that it's publicity stunt and shame to the nation to be so cheap and treating him so shabbily and that nation of 70 mln can afford to rent him a plane for 50 satangs per citizen. Since I don't like 787 I'm not even jealous
  23. time to start planning next trip I guess, looks very impressive, thank you for post , you got me very curious
  24. cashing in on incoming Chinese golden week ?
