I was there with our former contributor on Thursday last week not only market is fun but also getting there by train as it requires changing trains after crossing the canal in ferry. Certainly worthy detour from Bangkok and very cheap at that , two train rides at 10 Baht and ferry crossing at 3 baht each way for a grand total of 46 baht. Pictures below are mine. In my opinion it's more fun of actually being on the train while rolling through the market. Last pics is train already at the station after rolling through .

There are taxi reservation booths all over Pattaya. Did not use them this trip as I returned to bkk by bus but used twice in Oct/Nov. Just picked up nearest booth without any preferences and booked rides for the same day to my Bkk hotel immediately. Driver were on time as booked for 2-3 hours later. Stopping taxi on the road and asking quotation for Bkk ride will work too. It looks that some of you guys forget that analog world still is well alive and kicking and there,s live outside of internet , Google maps , apps and the like. Nice Boys and BBB cases mentioned above are good examples of real existence while denied it by Google maps.

I must be money boy because I, m exactly the same. Did that trick once on boy who wanted some branded shirt, off we went Silom Center to inspect garment, it was about 1000 so I said too expensive. Next morning I gave him tip and extra 1000 with instruction " go and buy shirt, I changed my mind". You guessed rightly, never happened. I, m sure he appreciated the lesson.
