I get it., makes sense . Some readers of my trip reports may recall about two years ago I took guy from Pattaya to Bangkok for 4 days of vacations (for him) and he lasted only overnight. When in the morning I pointed out that when I'm awake he should drop his phone and pretend to pay attention to me, he just packed up, said ' wish you good luck" and left. Granted , it was extreme case of addiction and he cured himself of it when realized how much money he is forfeiting because his telephone and smoking habits. Last time I hosted him I don't think I even see his phone.

We are talking about Atlas bar, home of hunks which may be everywhere in say, California but kind of rarity in SE Asia so obviously their market price reflects that. Guys from other Bangkok bars may be happy with 2000-2500 and Saranrom guys are still asking for 500. Drinks are mostly 500 in some bars bit less , off fee almost uniformly 500 , only Moonlight from models is asking for 1000 and they may ask 6000-7000 for a tip. As for Pattaya drinks there are 200-300 but BBB wants 1050 of fee for their guys and apparently XBoys wants 800. Classic boys may be the same. In my opinion it's hotels in the Silom and Sukhumvit area which went up the most so when you will be coming use old travellers advice " bring half things and twice as much money" . Rest assured fun is still to be had in Thailand. Comparing prices to what it was 5 years ago is counterproductive and only helps to make you bitter although it's favorite sport of all of us. I noticed that when I change subject to earnings comparison , subject tends to be changed.

I agree with what you wrote above that newcomers will be better served by sticking to city core unless they feel adventurous and venture to see other parts of city blending sightseeing with massage somewhere far. Sometimes when I do my walks around Silom /Suriwong area passing by multiple shops sporting guys sitting outside I think one can lodge in say, Quarter Silom or Nantra, feed himself at Happy Beer or Foodland , have 2 massages every day , each time with different guy and spend 2 weeks vacation without crossing the street even once

good it worked for you as expected, most likely because you booked them together in advance so they had a chance of sorting out if they will work together. I would not advice to show up in any shop and just pick up two boys we fancy from the line expecting they will be comfortable with each other. They may be but also they may be not.
