from my experience it's mostly 20000 but SOME Bangkok Bank machines are spiting out 25000. Warning - when I tried to take 24900 , just to get some change , message appeared " this machine allows withdrawal of 25 banknotes only . When I tried 21400 , it worked as intended

I doubt such system is in works now but certainly was in the past , at least in some bars. Quota of drinks soled or off fees paid. This could make sense when boys were storming bars to get a job there , not now when some bars have visibly trouble attracting new talent. It's nice for business to keep their employees happy but at end of day they need to pay them and rent somehow and we are not talking about part of economy which can count on direct government handouts

Airports are not extraterritorial. Everybody disembarking sets foot on landing country's soil whether they go through immigration or stay in transit zone. If they want to arrest somebody , it can be done at the gate.
